What a fantastic end to the Enigmatis series! I would have given 5 stars, but not a fan of more modern adventures. Wow, what a bumpy ride! Every puzzle and hos were challenging and interesting, not the usual fare for hos's. It was more suspenseful and intriguing than most games I have played so far.....and that measures over 1000 (I lost count a few years ago). Absolutely loved that the 'helpers' were other people who interacted with the player, and quite a few twists that I sure didn't see coming. A huge fan of the developers, Artifex Mundi. My fav is the 'Nightmares from the Deep' series and the Grim Tales series. Would love to see more of these type of games with an intriquing story like this one. I wouldn't be surprised if this game won Best of the Year. Well Done!!!! thanks Artifex Mundi for always upping the anti in adventure gaming. <3

I absolutely love this game! I've been playing it for 4 hours. now and am still not done. Although you have to manually back out of every site which can be a pain, there is also an interactive map that makes getting from one area to another action scene, easy. The hint gives clear direction and refills quite quickly. I wouldn't recommend it for those who are new to Adventure HOG's. But a great game for anyone who is experienced. The graphics are good and the HOS's are not easy but standard, which I happen to like. Many of the puzzles can be a bit challenging but that's a plus for me. The story is not clear, but I believe that's the intention, to keep one in suspense for as long as possible. Which I also happen to like a lot. All in all a great SE game!
I recommend this game!

I am particularly fond of fantasy games, as the graphics are usually bright and defined. I prefer cartoon characters rather than real because I want it to feel out of the ordinary. And, I love a good story. This was a story with many side stories in it, which I really liked because it made each character significant. I'm really glad I didn't go by the 2 star review, for me that would have been contempt prior to investigation..... and I prefer having my own experience especially when it's one of my favorite developers. Although I am not fond of all the helpers, the ones in this game had relatively few tasks so it really didn't affect the game play. My only complaint is I wished it had been longer. Not that it was particularly short, it was the usual 3 to 4 hours with the extra chapter but not long enough for me. I do love Elephant Games.
I recommend this game!

I quite enjoyed this little SE adventure was totally worth the free coupon but I would have paid for it had I not had the coupon. I like anything pirate, mythology and although the keepers were dolls and adorable...they weren't 'playthings' as such. The HOS's were great, not hard, not really easy, puzzles and knowing what to do next was challenging even on the easy mode...so glad I didn't chose harder. Okay for Beginners as long as it is on Regular mode. But would be really challenging for Hard or Expert. Bonus that the chapters were quite long, at least for me they were, took me several hours to complete. Of course not having a map to transport will add time to any game and there is some back and forth game play but not enough to annoy me. All in all a great SE game and I highly recommend it!

I normally don't give reviews that are anything less than 'good', Once I lose interest in a game it's hard to even bother writing a review. I'm sorry but EIPIX has ruined this series for me. It's the same guy (only this time with an angry face) from the Hidden Expedition series who's playing Jeffrey. Except now he's carrying an axe. This did not scare me or creep me out....in fact I was so bored I quit after 1/2 hour of playing...I didn't finish the last Danse Macabre either. Every game is the same now, slightly different puzzles to find ridiculously ordinary objects to further your 'adventure' in the game. Same collectible strategy, same foot sounds, same ...well, pretty much everything. The only difference is slightly different graphics. Run down and shabby town with creepy dolls hanging everywhere. This is the last game I will purchase from EIPIX.....I hate wasting money to play essentially the same game over and over and over again. Unless you're of fan of EIPIX, and obviously they have a fan base otherwise we'd see more new and edgy developers, this will bore you to tears....seriously.
I don't recommend this game.

Eipix did a great job in many aspects of this game....but fell short of the true flavor of MCF creepyness. Although it has great potential there were some missing elements that I feel were essential to the MCF 'feel'....the deep creepy silences, filled with the insane voice of Dalimar and/or others voices or sounds, the little extras throughout the game that add to the challenge of figuring out all the puzzles, NO DIARY!!! - omg, I think this really upset me the most....the diary has always been integral to the discovery of the many little secrets and review of what's passed throughout MCF games..this disappointed me the most! The HOS's were rather lame....although essentially true to the game they weren't at all challenging and intense like past games of MCF series. Although the atmosphere was well done, the graphics wonderful, the twins truly nasty...I did love the Rube Goldberg machine/puzzle types, as they are my favorite.....just difficult enough for me, but certainly not challenging. I am quite torn as I really feel that Eipix made tremendous effort to make this game feel so very much like the past Ravenhurst's episodes....clearly much thought and work was put into this effort.....it just didn't quite make the mark. I will say tho that it is huge leaps of improvement over the last debacle. MCF's Fates Carnival is my all time favorite game - so far for me, the closest to 'feel' from the original MCF games. The Ravenhurst series are the most creepy and the most insane and I think it would take the original minds to get that atmosphere back. It is still a great stand alone game and worthy of it's price.....sigh.....I think we all need to accept that MCF originals are gone for good....how terribly tragic.
I recommend this game!

This game is so beautifully rendered that I was absolutely caught up in the details of every scene! The game itself was not exceptionally different from so many others using flowers as the deadly opponent, however every almost every single item in the game was era perfect, every scene exceptionally detailed in every aspect that I could see. I was so supremely impressed with the graphics that I was more caught up in appreciating the incredible artwork that must have gone into the creation of this game. BLAM you have outdone yourself!! Not only the graphics but cutscenes were also very detailed and flamboyant. I especially appreciated the Collector in the Bonus game where he throws his flower bomb, expecting immediate results and then having to give the floor a nudge to get it going.....then with a lovely flourish, tip his hat and retreat to his secret room. The characters were also incredibly detailed and given minute characteristics to give them human appeal. The game puzzles were fun and not hard but interesting. Many different types of HOS's which breaks up the monotony of do the same thing over and over, which I detest. I enjoyed playing this game immensely for all of the reasons above. The morphing collectors items were extremely tiny however and very difficult to find.....were it not for the included walkthrough I would have been quite frustrated in trying to find them....my only complaint. But seriously nothing to get your knickers in a knot about and certainly does not detract from the exquisite artwork and details in every scene of this game or in the gameplay. Even without hints or sparkles the game was very clear on almost every step to take in order to move forward in your detection. The music appropriate but some quite monotonous, but that usually does not deter me from enjoying wholeheartedly the beauty and detail of the game. Well done BLAM and Big Fish! Finally, a game to truly rave about! <3

There is absolutely nothing I can add to 'sunnyglow's most thorough and excellent review...so I won't. This game was everything she (?) stated and some. I absolutely loved the voice overs and the choices, next time I play I will go with the male voice however the female is my fav voice over actress in several of the BF games. Mariaglorum has always gorgeous graphics. The puzzles were just right for me in challenge....eerily so. I did play the game in custom mode as I usually do without sparkles. A great mix of puzzles and hos's ...an almost perfect balance for me. The story line, although not new was lively and interesting. I do smell a sequel in the works. my only complaint ...not long enough...this is a game I could play for many hours. A real treasure among the mundane. Kudos Mariaglorum!! Keep them coming! :)

A rather intense, dark game and well thought out, that's a refreshing and delightful change to the normally placid nature of the past several games. Loved the cat in the game, slightly disappointed that his mouth didn't move when speaking as all the other characters were en pointe with voice overs and animation.....which is ALWAYS a huge plus for me as it makes the game more realistic. Absolutely adore ERS graphics and animation. The film clips were quite graphic and was annoyed at having to review the past clips with each additional extension of the story. A long playing interesting, challenging, entertaining and fun game! Some puzzles were more difficult than others, shooting puzzles just annoy me, generally I skip them, but most were quite easy if you start at the right point, however there was no reset button which if you didn't start in the right spot it became a lost cause. A few of the inventory items which seemed to require further investigation just suddenly disappeared, didn't seem to affect the game play however. The bonus chapter was delightfully extended more than the usual and also well thought out and not just an add on afterthought. I did not use the strategy guide and the map just seemed to tell me what I already knew although there were some puzzles like the gem ring where next time I will go to the strategy guide to review as I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I was rather hesitant at paying the full price as I usually regret that choice....but, after playing the free trial I felt it was worth the price and was not disappointed! Although the story line is not new there were some very interesting and totally unexpected twists... love that!! Excellent, well thought out game! thank you ERS!

What a fantastic game! Although the storyline is rather hohum....seen it many times before, the adventure is entertaining and fun, fun, fun! The graphics are gorgeous, the voice overs well done and interesting (really love the older gentleman that does the dice game and mystic card trades - actually love hearing this mans voice in many, many of the Big Fish Games - like a favorite old friend -he's a keeper!) Spells are not new but the format is and love that there are several. Although I am sure there is repetition it doesn't feel that way. So much to do, so many aspects and very little going wayyyy back....which although adds to the interest of the game can make it hard to remember where things go. I always save the collections for the second time around unless they are integral to furthering the game....haven't noticed if that is the case here, but that's okay, just makes it worth playing the next time round. AND...it's a LONG Game.....I have been playing for hours now and have still not completed the original story line.....hope the bonus is as entertaining. Just couldn't wait to put my 2 cents worth in, as this is the best games to come out this year so far! Get it while the sale is on, although def worth the full price! My faith in BF is well, a little bit restored lol. :) Although Fate's Carnival CE is still my all time fav....this is very much a close second!
I recommend this game!
