I have always loved these games - and their 'HOGs' are so pretty. Plus sometimes I think I'm getting 'em with no problem then I find several that are Very Hard to find - but I keep looking.
This game was simple yet complex. Yes there is a map but it only shows where certain areas you should go to BUT NOT ALWAYS & never what you should do when you get there - there are many areas where the map did not help and I had to use hint - because I hate to click everywhere.... But that is just me.
I never like playing those Dark, Gloomy games AND this game is NOT that way. And even though the idea of what is going on is bad - it is NEVER Gloomy or Dark.
I have 5 Mystery Trackers games and haven't found one yet that I didn't like (at least of the ones I have#.
Clear, some easy HOs, but some not so easy #I had to use a Hint). As for the length, that I can't tell you because I don't start & finish a game during one playing time.
Instead I play awhile then later or another day I play again. Is much more fun for me that way.
No this is Not exactly like the 'book' story BUT that does NOT take away from the fun & unpredictable things that occurs in this game. VERY enjoyable & challenging.
And the beautiful graphics just make it that much more fun. For ALL ages.
I recommend this game!

Awakening Kingdoms
You are chosen by Queen Sophia to restore her kingdom back to its former glory through fun mini-games and beautiful hidden object scenes.
Except this one. Constantly having to click to get Reward, to find out what to do next - click, click, click AND that is not for Finding hidden objects.... THEN you have to Log into your BFG acct to BUY anything..
Yes, unusual, different at beginning. Made me think instead of telling me what I was to do, etc. - Different type HOGS - putting things together and often U have to figure things out. The mini-games were very different, sometimes hard, sometimes game froze, but when I didn't want to continue, I simply Skipped it (the owl lets you skip# & I think some of the mini-games have an area at the top right to skip. --- The great thing I loved - was NOTHING GLOOMY, DARK - just beautiful graphics. The only thing 'bad' was actually the father who had been turned bad by evil - but nothing bad happened. He was the only thing that look gloomy/dark. -- I grew to love this game. Sometimes frustrating, yet often made me Think and look around. Sometimes had to use Hint to get me started somewhere -because my brain didn't want to 'think' ......LOL Overall, will definitely play this game again - which I do Not often do. --- Just Don't Give Up
#I will be looking for future games from this developer #forgot who but will check really quick#
If you want a game that will tell you everything to do - then don't get this game. If you aren't certain, buy & use the Walkthrough which may help you. I had to look a couple of times.
My rating is on the SE so don't know about the CE but I am guessing it will be just as good if not better.
Yes, at the beginning I thought that this was not for me - but I continued. I did not want to deal with the heads at the door so just skipped. By the Way - THIS is NOT a time to quit the game. It just gets better and better and I'm not finished yet. I play awhile here & there. That being said - I was confused a little at first - odd way to find HOGS or other objects. But I learned to 'think' and figure things out - but if hard, I just use Hint. I began to love the fact that this game is so Unique and different and greatly looking forward to continuing to play. I have now entered a new portal which is past the child's room past the female that appears after I placed the small soldier on the stair rail.... To Be Continued...
It should have been a tremendous achievement, but the tunnel through the Ridge of Leviathan became the site of a great disaster. What really happened that day?
I get bored having to go back & forth just to get 1 item I need. And I don't like being in a HOG area and having to leave to get an item I need to complete the HOG - and often have to do this more than once. I did think it was ok to use my inventory during a HOG but having to leave got on my nerves. -- Just not the best I have played and I did not start & end the game in one or two days. I just played a little here & there - did not keep my interest as well.
But I did give it a 4 because despite there being evil - it was not gloomy - in fact the great Bright beautiful Graphics is why I liked this game.
This game had a gloomy tale but the graphics made it not so gloomy. Just the black spider like 'evil' was suppose to be gloomy but I just ignored. I also did not listen to the audio so I can't say anything about that.
As for the games - boring, monotonous -usually I just played a little then Skipped.
there was a lot of running around just to get one item that I did not care for BUT at least there was a Map to see where there was still something to do or to take me back to where I was. It just wasn't all that interesting game to me.
Yet I gave it a 4 because I know there are some who like this type game.
Was really nice playing this game. Not your usual HOGs - some were fairly easy - some rather hard as you tried to find whatever the shape was in the list you had to find. so much more enjoyable this way. - Mini-games were either easy or hard or I just didn't want to finish so I hit Skip - like the ropes - I never did like that game. - But no matter what - the scenes were Beautiful with Beautiful Graphics. That alone makes everything fun - even when you had to go back to scenes to get something. - there was evil but it mainly came in shadows that flew around or kept you from going forward - not ugly goblins/witches, etc. -- This was basically a simple game yet complicated also. I truly enjoyed playing this bright & beautiful game & the imagination to create these graphics was wonderful. thank you for making such a beautiful fun game for all ages. - (I will admit that I don't usually listen to the audio so I can't comment on that.)
--- Beautiful graphics just make the playing that much more fun. You do have to go back & forth but with the beautiful graphics I didn't mind so much. --- I don't know if intended but often in the HO I had to click just about everywhere to finally get hold of the item - sometimes I wondered if that was wanted and sometimes I had to use Hint to discover that the item I keep clicking on - was really the one. --- There were a good amount of mini-games but often I use Skip because it was just boring & taking too long. But overall it was a really good game - even with the problems I listed above. --- This being the CE and having a Bonus 'chapter' - Well it was hard when I got to the tree area - No helpful hints - nothing. Finally I just started clicking everything & using my inventory items to click on the 'door' on the right side - it worked. After the hard part, I finally 'got it' and the game ended well. -- But I will warn others - that last part can be frustrating for awhile if you don't use your inventory - even if it doesn't make sense.... --- There are also 'achievements' you can earn -which mine were "few & far between" but I work on Casual and don't worry about achievements.... Oh yes, and I seldom listen to any audio - can get annoying so just don't listen since I watch TV at the same time. ------------OVERALL a Very Good Game.
