Wonderfully conceived adventure story by ERS in which you try to escape the mountains which have experienced an avalanche. Lengthy game. There is a lot to do and a lot of places to see, but a map and task list guide you to your next actions and tells you what percentage of the game you have completed. Dialogue is written so you can click as fast as you read. Graphics are brilliant. HOS are well defined and there’s no pixel hunting. Puzzles are fairly easy for the very experienced gamer and are skippable. A terrific addition to the Phantasmat games.
I loved the first Sacra Terra and this one is just as wonderful. Your boyfriend unknowingly summons a succubus (sp) and disappears while you answer the phone. With only the strategy guide, concept art and wallpaper and presumably a bonus chapter as extras, I don't think it is really worth the CE price. The artwork is gorgeous though. And the gameplay is relatively straightforward. The voiceovers are acceptable but the animated figures leave something to be desired. I'll wait for the SE, which will well be worth the money.
Pretty easy game. There is a lot of written dialogue - you get one person's dialogue and must click continue to get the next person's response. Can become a bit tedious after awhile. The puzzles are very easy. The case itself itself is interesting. The HOS are also easy - as you find objects, they are replaced with new ones. If it weren't for the slowness of clicking through all the dialogue, this would be a game I would play when I just wanted a pleasant afternoon without losing my mind over puzzles or what to do next.
Good to play with the kids. 2 Modes: Relaxed and timed. Same play as the other Big City Adventures. 51 HOS levels. Clear, colorful and distinctly defined objects. 12 Achievements (some can be earned only in timed mode). Puzzle after each HOS to learn where you’re going next. Learn interesting facts about the various London sites. Good value for the money.
Exciting, fast-paced adventure – easy to follow and skillful plot. Outstanding graphics, inspiring music, beautifully conceived details. Good voice overs. At the beginning, I thought play was rather simplistic and easy (no question of where to go or what to do), but it became tougher to figure out the puzzles and HOS as the game continued. Just my type of game. You can play casual, advanced or real detective (no help at all) modes. You can unlock and play hidden objects and puzzles to your heart’s content in the SE and CE editions, as well as a movie, music, bonus chapter, concept art and a screen saver in the CE edition as you complete the game. A well designed game. You find the cutest little Newfoundland puppy, complete with bow, to help in your quest. I'd buy the CE if you can. Extras well worth it.

Wizards, airships, hooded man in red, orbs, mysterious girl in white -- all combined into a well-constructed fluid plot with no voice overs and clear, crisp graphics. HOS are clearly visible – using silhouette and word lists. Objects can be combined in the combining bowl. Nice mix of fun puzzles and mini-games. Music is good; non-intrusive. 3 modes of play.
Exciting, fast-paced adventure. I couldn't wait to see what happens next as an artist paints the future. Clear, crisp graphics. Good voice overs. Interactive HOS – objects may be hidden behind others or objects may need to be combined. Achievements are awarded. Bonus free play of puzzles and HOS (yeah); music player, art gallery. 3 modes of play.
Exciting fast-paced adventure game. Scenes flow effortlessly as you seek the Tree of Life, rescue the land from poisoning the land and escape from evil-minded smoke-like spirits. Good blend of HOAs with riddles to solved and puzzles/mini-games. Live actors and voice overs - some good; others not so much. Interesting villians. Great music and cutscenes. Expert and regular modes – helpful map (not interactive) includes objectives (and actions if playing regular mode). Graphics and overall production values are top notch. Gameplay is straightforward and usually contained within a few scenes at a time. Achievements and collectibles.
A dark and intriguing psychological thriller about Rose, who has a supernatural power. But her parents are in conflict about that power – is it a sickness or a gift? Dr. Fraud’s goal is to take advantage of Rose’s gift to separate all the money he can from Rose’s father. Victims of murder befriend Rose as she uses her gifts to assist her detective uncle in solving the murders.
Well-paced story told through parents’ e-mails, detective’s notebook, diary and doctor’s memos. Rich intense graphics. 2 modes: relaxed and timed. Set music, sound effects and visual quality levels to your specs. Wide variety of HOS and puzzles. Each HOS/puzzle contains 2 hidden roses to collect for additional hints. HOS and puzzles are very visible, so you won’t need many hints to solve them. Easy to pick up at any point in the game. Good to see Dr. Fraud got what was coming to him, though he must get out of it since there’s a sequel.
