Nothing very new as far as game play or story. No VO though there is some reading it isn't overdone. Absolutely love the graphics but I'm a bright cartoon color fan. The character comments can get annoying as you click on them but I would turn the music down if there isn't an option to turn off background noise. I bet there is, though I didn't check. The basic premise is you clear road blocks, gather resources, and build. There are some new unique buildings to be made as it isn't just all houses that give you money. In less than 10 levels you are building wheat farms, sheep farms, doll factories, fabric looms, and hat makers. The manufacturing takes wheat and wool from the farms and makes it into dolls, fabric, and hats. You then sell these items at a market place for a pretty penny. Through out the levels you are gathering orbs to ultimately use against a giant dragon that is threatening the viking home world. I played the entire demo which I normally do not do unless I really enjoy the game. I was hesitant at first as some of the controls are a little odd. You need to click directly on the money icon and not on the building in order to collect the gold and there really is a good deal of clicking involved. You have plenty of workers from the start though and different ones that build and chop from those that gather resources from the houses, farms, and manufacturing buildings. It really is a cute game and I might just use my freebee on it.
I recommend this game!

The basic premise is that ghosts need a home too. Help build a town for some friendly ghosts. Didn't play long but the game play was pretty straight forward. No VO but the graphics were bright and the music was calming. To help build the town you need coins which are gained by playing the match 3. The coins are in random rows and by matching right next to them it gives you the coin. The coins can not be swapped with any other matching piece. There are power-ups you can get eventually but I didn't play long enough to see how they were used. Overall a decently cute game but nothing very challenging. It would be fine for some straight forward match 3 with nothing else really added to it for stimulation. Something along the same lines is "Lost In Night" which is much much better.

Based on the demo.
I would have given it more stars except for the repetitive nature of the game but overall it was good.
Graphics are bright, colorful, and clear. The cut-scene in the beginning gives you a nice back story. You're off to find gold in Alaska to save your family from financial ruin.
You arrive at your first train stop to play a odd little mini-game that is somewhat confusing. Everyone has lost their luggage and you must find the pieces that are piled around the depot amongst other objects. After this you become the major's assistant and are enlisted to go into the wilds to chop wood, find food, and find gold. Similar to Royal Envoy and the like. The music isn't too bad but the different character noises become annoying after awhile. I love my Royal Envoy but this wasn't as fun for some reason. The best thing about the game is you can queue tasks ahead. But that was about as good as it got. You queue the workers do the chopping, fruit picking, fishing, and building. Your character is only in play when you need to discover a area where there is gold or a wolf that you have to scare off by shooting a gun in the air near it. Now if you have the workers in queue towards a bush that is behind the wolf he will still go there cross the wolf's path but then freak out, scream, and run back to the house. Then you have to re-queue him. First it was hard to tell what you needed to do. It wasn't obvious that you needed food or wood for certain tasks like covering a ditch or building a bridge. If you click on something that you do not have the resources for, it will give you this quick double warning sound that is annoying at first then after the 50th time you want to punch the screen. I also found the challenge mode to be pretty difficult right off the bat. Had to redo a number of levels to get all 3 stars starting from level 2. If you finish with 3 stars you get to fix up the town one building at a time. Seems like you can get as many extra helpers as you want as long as you have the food, which is nice. The levels go by quickly and there is a good bit you have to accomplish every level. Some may find this level of challenge great but I think I'll stick with my other road/building games.

I was interested to play something that wasn't centered around being gruesome and dark but I wasn't too impressed. I haven't played the previous games in this series so I wasn't taken in with nostalgia. The graphics were beautiful in parts and below par in others. The characters are very childish in speech and action. The opening cut scene wasn't very thrilling nor graphically interesting. And if you haven't played the previous game/s it will probably leave you puzzled like it did me. As for game play it bordered on extremely easy but for the HO scenes which were frustrating at times. There were quite a few HO scenes within the first 5-10 minutes of game play which I find interrupts the flow a bit. There are a good many puzzles to advance the game but require so little brain power it's confusing why they're there at all. Then you happen onto a HO scene and some of the objects are so well hidden it makes searching turn into boredom. I didn't finish the trial as I just wasn't in the mood for another search-and-find-till-you-give-up-and-use-a-hint scene. The drawn graphics may have something to do with the difficulty in finding some objects. I've played enough of these games to where if I'm searching longer than 30 seconds for one item I become annoyed. Though this might be a fun game for the younger generation be prepared for "Mom can you help me?" a good bit. I might also be spoiled as I just love the 'Awakening' series and this falls very short comparatively.

I actually was very surprised how much I enjoyed the game play in this TM building simulation. The graphics were good but different in that they lean towards the graphic novel style of appearance. The way the levels and difficulty was staggered made good logical sense unlike some other games where the illogical or ridiculous is how to play. The only thing I found frustrating in higher levels is the tutorial never seems to end. The "hand-holding" characters keep popping up to tell you what to do and it was extremely annoying. It became increasingly frustrating when you've already got the hang of the game and just want to play as you see fit but a large drawn character keeps popping up in your view disturbing your field of vision. Such a simple thing made me not purchase the game as I became too frustrated with it to continue. If this wouldn't bother you I think this would be a great addition to any building lover's arsenal.

I'm not sure where to begin with this game it was just simply awful. The graphics were disgraceful even though the game required a higher resolution to play. The colors were dull and lifeless along with the characters. The basic premises is you're an over-worked manager at a restaurant and decide to purchase your own country buffet. You do not serve your customers just clear plates and restock the buffet. You then purchase upgrades in the form of more tables and country decor. It has been a long time since I've played a game similar to this one. It has the feel of a very simple online game with very rudimentary controls. There is no indicator check mark for items you click on so you just have to assume you clicked correctly. For example if you click on a table to clear plates you just start walking in that direction but nothing indicates you clicked on the table. Same goes for the bus table you take the dirty plates to. You will need to go into the "kitchen" door that is actually marked as 'Training' to restock the buffet. There is also a 'Party Room' but I quit before I knew what it was for. I could barely stomach this game but for a few minutes and can't imagine that it would interest most people.
I don't recommend this game.

Even though Diner Dash is an 'older' game it still has all the elements that make it re-playable even today. I missed the option of choosing my own style of upgrade as Lunch Rush just does it for you. The difficulty is very low and each level seems to be a replay of the one before. They do get a little harder but the game stays very linear. You will gain a drive-thru in a few levels and additional characters in the form of young girls, young boys, men, and women. There is nothing to really to set them apart but for their patience. No cell phone men or bookworms or joggers or clowns. Just the same people with nothing interesting about them. A cat appears in a few levels but as far as I could tell does nothing for the game play. I clicked on it a few times and it just meows. The graphics are bright and in HD so very clear. They also appear much larger and I could see younger children finding it fun. My daughter would definitely enjoy the game as the placement of the people are easier and they will automatically sit in the right color seat when dragged to a table. I also miss the animation of each character as I mentioned earlier there is little variances between them and there is no animation involved in what they do but stand, sit, or look a little angry when their patience runs out. Over all I think this is better suited for a younger generation of players.

The basis of the story is you open a gym in a city where the population is taking energy pills instead of working-out. The game play is similar to other clothing store/salon/pet/diner type of TM games. You drag the customers to their desired machine and you can train them which speeds up their time spent on the machine. Once they are finished with one or two different machines you send them to the shower. You will need to drag every customer to a machine but you can right click to send to the shower or give them water. You receive upgrades every couple levels to increase customer speed along with a water cooler. After a few levels you have the option of hiring extra help in the form of trainers. There was a good deal of clicking involved which became redundant early on. The graphics were bright cartoon style and cute. The music was unobtrusive along with the occasional vocal comments from customers. Over all this is a decent TM game but the format has been done many times over. I didn't finish the trial as I wasn't in the mood for such an over abundance of repetition. The difficulty was minimal and though you had some choices in upgrades most of the ones you receive were automatic. I enjoy TM but there wasn't enough goals and variances in game play to keep my interest.

The objects are more difficult to find in this sequel but the graphics are crisp and clear. The music wasn't obtrusive at all as I barely noticed it where I normally turn it down. The story line is really cute as it was dedicated to the developers parents which fits perfectly. The same game play but with updated graphics and the scenes though more organized the objects are quite well hidden. It's a win for a sequel though I kind of miss the clock. You still have hearts on customers but no clock that I found. Certainly worth a buy with 20% off.
I recommend this game!

Along the lines of My Kingdom for The Princess in where you have to gather materials and clear the path. You plant patches of garden and try to beat the clock. Further into the game the levels get pretty difficult as there is a good deal to accomplish before the clock runs down. I normally never settle for anything less than gold but I let some slip to silver just to get past them. The graphics are bright and colorful and the music is non-obtrusive if not a little repetitive. There is no VO but cut-scenes with written dialogue. The story line is pretty typical but cute none the less. I used a freebie credit on this one and I'm not disappointed at all. My clicking hand was getting a little tired but it was fun.
