For first-timers or children maybe. Colors are bright and graphics are cute. The loading screen is constantly popping up and probably the quickest to become annoying. The first few levels were extremely quick and though new elements are added in the difficulty is still pretty low. Everything from the graphics to the music is probably on the level of 5-6 yr old's. For those that just want to zone-out on something low effort this could work if it was on sale... Maybe. Might want to turn down the in-game music and listen to something else though as it could become grating.
I don't recommend this game.

Wonder if Big Fish is running out of games to introduce onto the platform as this was just horrendous. UI was messy and incoherent. Tutorial was lacking and partially incomprehensible. Game play was badly paced, the graphics atrocious and the music annoying. Other than a semi-sandbox style of game I can not see any redeeming qualities. If you like slow paced games with barely passable building features where you attempt to figure out the mechanics as you bumble along then this just might be the game for you.
I don't recommend this game.

Opening cinematic was odd and back story extremely weak. I have a feeling that it was not created for an American audience. I could see the potential for an awesome storyline but this was not it.
As the game progressed it became all about witchcraft where creating voodoo dolls to call on your ancestors for help is how you move forward. Playing on easy I had a hard time figuring out what the game wanted in terms of progressing. This is heavy on the adventure side with HO scenes thrown in randomly to gain an object you need. The puzzles are not brainteasers and are more for progressing the adventure. There is not a map but it is not really needed as you stay within small sections of either a broken down home or within a mystical world with only a few different scenes to explore.
This is a very different style of HOA game and is more sand-boxed in form. There was a small amount of VO but it is minimal and a good ton of reading. Every time you hover over an object an eye icon appears and it will give you information ex. "this is a very dusty chair".
I did not finish the demo as it became monotonous early on and I'm not a fan of the voodoo element. Though I can see the crowd that dislikes having their hand held through out may like it to some degree but I just did not feel the game was put together well.
I don't recommend this game.

I have the first Viking Saga and this one has exactly (and I mean exactly) the same game play. I played through the first hour and nothing was different. There seemed to be more detail in the landscape but even that is debatable. The sequel story is now there is a strange disease spreading through the island and the Viking King's son is sick. You set out to a distant land to find the cure. There is a good deal of boat traveling which brings somewhat of a new element to the game. Overall I like the Viking Saga series but I'm not sure if I will purchase this one as there was so little extra elements that make it worthwhile. Now, of course the challenge is in figuring out how to complete the new levels for gold. If you like the way the previous versions were done and just like the challenge of completing new levels then it could be a nice game to add to the arsenal.

Not exactly a challenging game but I actually had a good time playing it. You begin as a lowly boss in a small warehouse. You can hire two employees and your goal is to take the job of the boss over you. It appears that there are 6 bosses you need to outsell one for each new level. As you move up you get a bigger office with more desks to hire additional employees. There are multiple tasks your employees can do from find products to sell to motivate other employees. Each employee has certain strengths like sells or advertising. You can also have your employees study to increase certain skills but as you do their monthly salary will also increase. When you assign a task to an employee it takes a period of time to finish which is indicated by a bar over their head. If your employees are happy, which is indicated by a happy green face above their heads, their tasks are completed faster. You get use to the momentum of the game pretty quickly as you assign one employee to advertise and another to sell and so on. The only thing that concerned me is that I finished 3 bosses and was well on my way through the fourth boss within the demo time. The level of challenge does increase with each boss I just wonder how long the game is or if it can be beat in two hours or less. Other than that it was a fun game and I enjoyed the simple fun of it. There was also a good level of actual business sense that goes into the game play which I like. The demo is certainly worth trying.
I recommend this game!

There wasn't much that was new about this game. The story was weak and somewhat difficult to follow. I normally overlook lackluster graphics for good content, but this game did not have it.
After the beginning monologue you begin the game inside your nieces nightmare. Early on you will find that the object is to calm her fears so she can be released from her own mind. The HOS were junk piles but not too difficult. Within the full hour I did not come across one mini or puzzle game. There was a telemap which was nice and the hints where directional. When I like a game I refuse to use hints or skips but I became bored and did not mind using them. I did forced myself to finish the full hour demo to see if the game play changed any but it did not. There was a lot of back in forth and not just a screen or two but it could be from the first screen to the 10th, which makes the map very useful. Your hint/helper is a teddy bear which is a strange contrast from the dark atmosphere of the game to a slightly goofy not calming or fun character. The graphics are really pretty though drawn and not very crisp. I didn't notice the music really so I'm assuming it was decent. I really wouldn't spend anymore time on this game and probably would not even spend a freebee on it but some may find it a nice HOA game without much else to it.
I don't recommend this game.

Though the graphics were relatively okay the attempt was to make them live-action but in single captured shots. The mix was some drawn graphics and other pictures. It wasn't that pleasing to the eye. There was no voice over, which wouldn't be a big deal but the text grammar was atrocious and obviously created by non-English speaking developers. And with the amount of text that had to be read it became monotonous. I could see where the story could have been good but without a keen grasp of the English language it was confusing and flat. The actual play time is where the the whole game really suffered. Stranded on a island after being tricked by your friend into taking a hot-air balloon ride you start off with a knife and your grandmother's mirror in your inventory. You first must rescue a raccoon from a cage before doing anything else which of course looks like a real picture of a raccoon but it talks (in text). You find out that you are a princess that was foretold about in prophecy and have finally returned to this odd land. Right off the bat you are doing mini-games, puzzles, and HO scenes. The puzzles are ridiculously easy and the HOS are a jumbled mess. You do not have a map (that I could tell) and there is very little direction. Though navigation would be easier with a map there isn't a lot of guess work in what you need to do next. This could be good for a child but it becomes so easy and boring it is almost insulting. I almost want to recommend playing the game just to see how odd it really is. But, I couldn't stomach it for long and didn't play the whole demo.
I don't recommend this game.

I would probably give this one a 3.5 instead of a 4 as I wasn't a big fan of the murky colors. It was a little hard to see but the game play was fun. There isn't anything to create or build which is my favorite but this has a fun unique twist with the vampire motif. As a young vampire girl you're in search of your kidnapped father. The levels are pretty easy to pass even when timed. Every few levels or so you will come across a monster you will need to fight by matching a certain color (blue) that fights against the monsters color. You find talismans that help during regular game play that are typical for the match3 genre. The break one block, mix tiles, and bomb are the basic ones. You also have an unique talisman that lets you switch diagonally that you earn for beating the monsters. There are more unique ones that I have not yet obtained as I only played the demo. Playing the full hour I reached level 20 and was on the phone at the same time so I took my time. All in all it is a pretty decent game and wouldn't mind using a freebee on it.
I recommend this game!

I love these types of match 3 games where the goals are not just to match but to build and create. The background is your homeland has been conquered so you set out to build a new kingdom on a far away coast. The graphics are beautiful and the music is upbeat middle eastern in flavor. You match to gain materials to build your kingdom with gold, wood, and stone along with many more. There are a ton of power ups to obtain that break blocks and mix the tiles. As you gain materials the more buildings you can make. Along the way there are "events" that come every 5 to 7 levels that entail fighting a dragon or chasing away pirates. These you also match but you gather materials like nets or bombs to complete the event. There is a timed mode and a relaxed mode but you have to go to the map to switch between the two. There are so many buildings to make and upgrades along the way and you have to upgrade certain ones before others will open. I really enjoyed this game and bought it as soon as the demo was up.
I recommend this game!

Finders is not your typical TM game but more of an island search, discover, build type of game. The tutorial isn't the best and figuring out how to complete some tasks took a little bit of brain power. I enjoyed the relax atmosphere and how each time you complete a task it doesn't take you to a completely different map. You build on the map you first crash onto and once you build it up to capacity you move on to another one. There is a good bit of the game that is more realistic than is normal for these types of games. It cost food to gather food and in order to actually use the food you have to go into the storage house and select it. Some of the numbers seem off as you do receive more when you gather than you spent actually doing the task. There isn't a tutorial or help menu that you can go back to if you miss something which would be nice but since it isn't time sensitive it allows you to figure it out as you play. When it comes to cooking or activity tasks the instructions are almost nonexistent but if there is an item for cooking and you can't find it is most likely something you need to purchase. Clicking on your vehicle once you repair it will send it to town to get the things you can not gather. Certain food items can be used as power ups and are very helpful when gathering as you gain extra when you use them. The graphics are cute a bright and the music is non obtrusive though I did turn it down a bit. The story is unique and engaging. I would like to see more instructions with the game as it is quite extensive but all in all I really enjoyed it and bought it as soon as the demo was over. You will barely get started when you finish the demo as there is so much to the game. It is worth the hour to see if it is something you would enjoy. Not a fast game in the least but perfect for a long lazy afternoon.
I recommend this game!
