I beta tested this game and couldn't wait for it to come out so I could continue to play. The story is a good one (a lot of times I don't pay attention to the stories), graphics are great and the HOS and mini games are fun, some easy, some more challenging. You can customize gameplay which I always like so it's good for beginners or experts. A winner in my opinion!

I had tried this game at another site when it first came out and decided not to buy it but since BFG had the 60% off today I bought it. The graphics, sound, music etc. is what you would expect from this dev...very good. The game is fun enough, fast paced and in places challenging. I definitely prefer the Emily games because I love the scenery, the upgrades etc. in those games and I like food games much better than fashion. This game however, is fun and quality so will hold me over until another Emily is out there. I wish BFG would get these games quicker though because I always have to wait quite a while before I can buy them here.

I'm not too far into this game and am bored out of my wits! Unfortunately I did buy it so I will slog through it. The graphics seem a little dated, the characters are wooden, the occasional ghost coming through just feels silly, plus, even though it's supposed to be a ghost story there are mechanical type things with eyes etc. that jump out (and no...they are not scary!). So far the mini games are very easy with the exception of one that just didn't make sense so I skipped it. I'm playing on custom level and have it set with no tools to use except the skip and still the game seems very easy. You find something and add it to your inventory and use it fairly quickly. Overall for me this game is a huge miss so far.
I don't recommend this game.

I happened upon this game as a 2.99 special and played the trial and had to have it. The story was actually interesting to me (they usually aren't) and I was interested to see what had happened and how it would end. I liked the music, graphics were very good. I found some of the mini games to be challenging, I played in the hardest mode with no black bar lines, no skip and I believe no hints. You could change mode of play during the game which I had to do once to skip a mini game. Overall for me this was a very good game.

I beta tested this game and liked it when I did so I bought it. I've just finished playing it and really liked it as I have liked the other Surface games. The graphics are nice, mini games and HOS scenes are unique and fun. I didn't think it was an overly hard game but enough to make you think here and there. The story was okay, I think with as many games as there are it would be hard to have a completely new and unique story but it was good enough. This game was a fun way to pass a rainy afternoon!

This is a cute game but just not my cup of tea, it moves a little slow for me. I didn't think the time I played was extremely difficult, you just have to use a little imagination and the old brain! Graphics are bright and crisp, music is okay but does get a little annoying. Storyline is cute. This is one of those games that after reading the reviews you should try for yourself - you might just enjoy it!

I beta tested this game and some how missed when it was released so I just bought it. I enjoyed it when I tested it and have played today to the point where I'm in the castle. The story is good, your Grandma is missing and you are trying to get her back. The graphics are good, mini games are a little different, some HOs, voiceovers good, if you read it faster than they speak you can continue through the dialog, music standard repeat track but not bad, there is some back and forth, there is a map but I'm playing on hardest level so not using map. Overall a good game.

I read the mixed reviews and decided to try before I bought. I have the previous Christmas Stories games and liked them. I found this one to be good also. The music is Christmas music which I love, the graphics are cheerful and pretty and gameplay is fun. I think it might be a little slow moving and not extremely challenging but for me this time of year that is okay! Some people reviewed it as a childish game, I also don't mind that because I'm playing it as a Christmas game and enjoying the relaxation and silliness of it. For me it's worth the two tokens I used to purchase!

I love these games and have from the beginning. I have all that have been released. You get interesting history lessons before each scene, great mini games (they pretty much stay the same from each adventure but pieces etc. change so they are themed to the city and they are fun so no complaint on lack of change) and the scenes are straight HOS plus two hidden objects in an area that lights when you move your mouse across it. I wish the devs would do one somewhere in Italy, I keep waiting and hoping! Happy to have a new adventure.

I beta tested this game and thought and noted it was a little easy...however, it's a good game. The storyline is a little different (not much but a little#, graphics are very well done, HOAs are fairly easy and mini games are not so difficult that they are frustrating. You can customize the mode of play and you can choose male or female which I like. You cannot fast forward #so to speak) through the dialog, you either have to skip it completely or listen to it. Voice over is okay so no big shakes having to listen. I think expert players will not be challenged enough, but overall I think this is a pretty good game for beginning or intermediate players.
