This game does NOT appear to be timed because when I look at the timer it's either empty or gradually filling as I'm clicking on matched pairs of numbers. I believe that the quicker you pair the cards and get the timer filled is what provides your ending tally at the conclusion of each level.
This is similar to majhong but uses playing cards of which you have to match pairs of numbers. This game also has a nice twist to it by having a slot machine that runs and you have to find either ALL the same suits or same card from the table splay of cards matching whatever is shown on said machine -- that IS definitely timed but you DON'T lose that level, just get less of a score due to whatever cards you may have missed.
This game might become frustrating as you REQUIRED to completely clear the board so make sure that you pick up cards that are lying atop as-yet unturned cards BEFORE clicking on those cards that are standing alone -- unless 1 card is a "stand alone" and the matching is atop other unturned cards.
An issue that I had was in missing the lower stacked cards towards my left; I had to replay a couple of levels due to the fact that I honestly never saw those cards to begin with until it was too late
I recommend this game!

While this game is very good, I am not much of a puzzle person and therefore had to rely heavily on the walkthrough to finish the game; hence, the reason of only giving this game 4stars rather than 5 when it came to the "fun" factor and "overall" rating.
The steps to take to achieve your goals are logical and you MUST be careful to REALLY scan your environment to "catch" all the items necessary to complete puzzles to move forward or you'll find yourself wandering and wondering where to go next and what to do next -- even scan areas that you THINK would produce nothing and you'll become surprised as to what you'll find.
I recommend this game!

DON'T BE TOO QUICK TO USE BOARD HELP

Personally, I found this game to be extraordinarily and unnecessarily longer than most Match 3 games and am happy that I've completed it; there are just over 300 levels with 100 ailments.
I noticed a few things that might be helpful; while there are power-ups that you purchase and upgrade through the salesman, there are also board "helpers" and I suggest that you not be too quick to use them.
* the "x" is a horizontal blaster
* the vertical arrow blast everything up and down a row
* the coins will randomly replace objects and when they dissipate, move the other objects one row down
* the Fresh Start I found good to use AFTER I'd done my best to clear as many tiles as possible on my own. Fresh Start just means that it'll move the objects around; it does NOT mean that you have to restart that level.
The GOOD thing about them is that you're able to move them around as you do the other tiles WITHOUT having to use them until you're ready (then click on them) except for the coins, which will disappear on their own in a few seconds but sometimes you're able to make beneficial moves first.
The BAD thing about them is that they do NOT break and clear the tile for you; all they do is remove whatever object is on that tile that you still need to clear EXCEPT for the yellow bugs -- they will remove the objects AND clear the tiles if they're close enough to the tiles that need to be cleared.
The green bugs are a troublesome sort as they will "expand" until they pop and if you've not cleared them BEFORE popping, they will cause a tile to become a tile that you've got to work on AGAIN to clear.
One of the other bit of GOOD NEWS is that when the pink bugs click together (you have to find a 3rd pink bug or use other means to get rid of them) and leave empty spaces around them, you CAN move objects into those empty spaces if you need to in order to continue playing the level,
Fortunately, this game has timed and untimed modes of play; I don't think that I'd have been able to complete several levels had I been playing in timed mode.
I recommend this game!

This game is much harder to play (in timed mode) than Cradle of Rome2. It's harder to keep the earned "lives" because in higher levels of the game (in the 90s) DESPITE having resources, the game will sooner or later (after buying resources for awhile) fold up the board and take a "life" causing you to to replay that level.
Also what was even more disappointing is that IF you use too much of your resources causing you to be unable to buy ALL the city buildings, you do NOT finish the game at Level 100 and become pharaoh.
You'll be told that you have to play the "epoch" (Main Menu, click "Play Adventure") and it'll take you back into the game. One member was taken back to Level 73 allowing said member to achieve the extra resources and gold to buy said needed buildings while I was only taken back to Level 99 making it IMPOSSIBLE to earn those extra resources and gold to complete the city.
It was fun while it lasted but for me who RARELY gets that far in a TIMED game (do have option to play UNtimed), I was very disappointed to have completed all the levels but yet unable to finish the game.
I recommend this game!

I did buy this game after completing 2 of the 5 chapters within the hour demo.
The format of this hidden object game is different and challenging -- which is why I bought this game; though I doubt that I would have paid anything more than the DD price because I found myself feeling overwhelmed at times and needing to take a few deep breaths.
Cons:
*cannot skip mini-games
*tile game will time-out after 3 incorrect moves and ask if you want to Retry
*takes GREAT eye control and memory for pool mini-game
*tiny and color-on-color hidden objects
*3 misclicks while looking for objects and hint button empties out
*if you say NO on the Retry attempt, mini-game is NOT solved but not sure if you can continue the game itself or not as I went back into the mini-game and completed it
Pros:
*beautiful graphics
*great history about Taj Mahal
*mosaic mini-games -- pieces light up when over correct placement setting
If you're looking for something different, you might want to give this game a try; just remember to take a few deep breaths when it gets frustrating
I recommend this game!

This game was NOT a bad game at all; a bit frustrating for me as I tended NOT to carefully scan each area of each scene for that magnifying glass which indicates a point of interest and therefore, found myself wandering around and wondering what to do next.
So if you don't want to wear out too many sneakers and lose too much hair (LOL) make sure that you carefully scan each scene as this is a very interactive game and you need "tools" to accomplish 1 or more tasks in each scenario.
I found the storyline to be quite good and plausible and the ending, though sad, quite peaceful at the same time.
I recommend this game!

I've a widescreen monitor and this game takes up the whole space BUT there are SEVERAL scenes in which there are hidden objects that CANNOT be seen because they are actually hidden beyond the monitor screen. Hence, in searching for said objects, your CURSOR becomes HIDDEN.
To add injury to insult, if you click too many times your cursor will start wiggling around which, of course, makes it useless to keep clicking until it stops.
In addition to that, you've got several scenes in which you've got to find objects (NOT on your list) to use on certain items to continue searching/finding objects. That in of itself is not the problem -- the problem is that sometimes you CAN'T FIND the object that needs to be used but the HINT button will NOT help you in finding the necessary tool -- it'll only highlight the object for which the tool is needed.
I am sure glad that I didn't pay more than the Daily Deal price for this game; if I had, I would be contacting the Bigfish support department demanding the return of my money.
I don't recommend this game.

While this game was fun to play, it became a game to pass up after 18 minutes of gaming as I became very nauseous and was still sick 2 hours later!!!
This is the first time in my life that I've ever gotten motion sickness and decided that even at the $2.99 price, it was NOT worth the queasiness and upset stomach and headache.
I don't recommend this game.

This is the 1st timed-management game that I've ever been able to actually COMPLETE to the end (100 levels) due to the fact that I used my power-ups (when available so they could refill) specifically on hard-to-get-at areas of the board.
Also whenever the timer ran out and I was asked if I wanted to buy resources, I ALWAYS said yes (particularly on the last level) and I never ran out of resources and was always able to complete each level without losing a life.
Also try to quickly ascertain if you've got a win-able board (meaning without having to use power-ups too often) and if not, go for the icons that refills those power-ups only and use them as quickly as possible once refilled -- that was the ONLY way I was able to win Levels 99 and 100 (as well as buying the resources) WITHOUT losing a life and having to repeat them; there was 1 or 2 levels earlier that I also did that way.
I recommend this game!

Have to say that I was NOT impressed with this game particularly since MANY of the objects that needed to be found were so "into the side of the screen that you can NOT identify them" and I have a widescreen monitor, that I felt like I was being dissed by the developer when the score gives you the low percentage of correct finds.
