I actually enjoyed THIS game more than the newest Nightmares from the Deep CE from the same developers !! Certainly not the longest game but long doesn't always mean fun. It was a bit of a challenge, too and found I had to resort to the hint system to help me out of a tight spot or two. Sometimes it's just fun to go back to the cartoon style "campy" games.
This Final Cut was even better than the first and for once I wasn't disappointed in the length of the bonus chapter and had a blast reading the credits and completing the "secret bonus play" where the producer is interviewed after serving him a cup of coffee. What a great sense of humor these developers have!!! Now THAT being said the ONLY thing that could have made this whole game better is if they were to get more creative with their HOs. Oh how I am soooo tired of slightly interactive HOs! Just finished playing another CE from another developer that actually intergrated at least 3 types of HOs and instead of groaning when I saw the sparkles I actually couldn't wait to play them. I'm giving this game the highest rating because the gameplay itself was so excellent!
I think this is my favorite Mystery Trackers so far! So many reviews already but have to comment that the hint system worked beautifully in the HOs and out. Just enough info to get you on the right track and sometimes telling you where to go and what to do. Map was helpful! The main game took me about 4 hours and the bonus another hour and a half. Length of game and bonus game and enjoyment of both is what I look for in a CE. All the other extras are just icing on the cake! WONDERFUL game! FUN to play!
A great sequel to the first Stray Souls Dollhouse game and as soon as I saw it I played the demo for 30 mins. and it was a definite buy for me!! (was thrilled to see our little rag doll friend again, too!) You soon get a map but it's a pretty linear game so I didn't have to rely on it much at all. While this isn't the most challenging game I've ever played it was the most FUN I've had playing a game in quite a while. I enjoy adventure more than puzzles but for someone like me I had FUN playing the easier puzzles which meant I could get on with the adventure part of the game. I was, however, disappointed in the HO parts because they were pretty cluttered and only slightly interactive. I THOUGHT I was going to be playing more of the newer type HO where you had to find one thing to find the next but only had one of those. The bonus content was perfect for me because I don't care about morphing objects and playing with pets or growing plants or even achievments. The only achievments that matters to me is the bonus game itself (which was once again FUN) and I had an aha moment at the end of it. SO GLAD I got this CE game! Not the longest game I've ever played but maybe that's because I couldn't stop playing it and spent a really FUN morning enjoying myself. Did I mention this game was FUN?
I recommend this game!

Namariel Legends: Iron Lord
Escape prison, defeat an army of mechanical soldiers and destroy the Iron Lord’s dark power!
What a fantastic and LONG game! How did I miss this one when it came out? THANKS to all the reviewers who list their favorite games because that's how I found this little gem! No HOS and the best adventure I've been on in a long, long time. Looking forward to the next adventure game Playrix has to offer!!
Looking to use a punch code I've had this one on my "maybe" list for a long time and I had MORE fun with this little game than I've had with any of the newer games out there. It is cartoon characters, campy, humorous, you get some red sneakers eventurally so you can use your jump map. I did find a walkthrough and had to use it on two puzzles (they had me puzzled). I found myself giggling at some of the things happening. Altho' the hint system is good the journal keeps some vital information, too. Anyway, if you love campy you'll love this game, too! Wish there were more like these... tired to death of all the cute animals and storybook games.
First of all KUDOS to the boy who sang that beautifully haunting song into the game! Mad Head Games has really raised the bar and I can't imagine why this wouldn't be the game of 2013. Wonderfully long game with custom difficulty option. Besides the bonus game there are Achievements, Gallery which are puzzle posters you put together of the characters and then a little story about them, the soundtrack, wallpapers, and concepts. I didn't find all my acorns so wasn't able to visit "Old Lady" so I don't know what that does. A preview of their next game, "Nevertales, the Beauty Within" which promises "coming soon". Can't be too soon enough because Mad Head Games ROCK !!
In fact the whole game was enthralling and fun and didn't hold your hand by supplying a transport map. And the map went on FOREVER..... a lot of places to explore and much to do. LOVED it... even the HOs were acceptable as they didn't halt your progress in exploration for too long (easily found and slightly interactive) I got this game at the same time I got Enigma Agency Case of Shadows and I can truthfully say I had a better time playing this game. thanks, Big Fish
This game started out fantastically fun and challenging with the Rube Goldberg machine puzzles but quickly turned into just the regular slightly interactive HOs. The game itself was great and the puzzles were hard (for someone like me who enjoys more the adventure than HOs and puzzles).
But I was SOOOO disappointed in the bonus chapter!! HO after HO and I swear it was sooo easy and over so quickly!!
WONDERFUL, bravo and encore to the developers of this game!! For me this was one of those games I didn't want to play at one sitting because I didn't want it to be over but on the other hand I wanted keep on playing because it was so much FUN ! What a dilema! Gotta tell ya the voice acting was the best I've heard in a long while. MUCH to do, places to visit but with a jump map (which came in handy). I'm not a puzzle lover so ended up skipping those I couldn't get the hang of but it was still a LONG game. And it ended and completed the story. That being said, as much as I loved, loved, loved the game the bonus chapter for me was just so-so.. taking us back to how Pilgrim's Hook made it's appearance as an island. I never do this... but finished the game yesterday and I'm going back to play it again today, taking my time and attempting the puzzles. (oh CE has not only the bonus chap, wallpapers, etc., but an extra little game where you help the whale) Happy gaming, fishies!
