I think I was the first in line to buy this game since I beta tested it a long time ago and have been looking for it ever since.
I want the thrill of adventure and trying to solve how to complete tasks rather than spending too much time on puzzles so the ability to actually do them rather than skip them (like I do on so many games) was a plus.
SLIGHTLY interactive HOs don't thrill me either and feel it's time for Elephant to move on with more creativity and mix it up like other games are doing.

Ok, the bonus game... for me it was harder than the main game and lasted at least an hour maybe a bit more.
Don't you just love it when you do all the work and the detective gets all the credit??

Although developed by Frogwares in 2010 this game rivals many of the recent games I've seen offered lately.
While it has older features like non interactive HOs the adventure and storyline are riveting.. the voiice overs are straight from a Sherlock movie, there's a transportable map with indications that there's something to do there..
Had the BEST time replaying it this morning after seeing it being offered. If you don't have it, get it!

This game was NO challenge... even on "insane mode"... and I usually play casual and usually end up skipping puzzles. But NONE of the game took any toll on my brain cells..... map not needed, either. Only a couple of things to do in each scene. I liked the option of the Match 3 because I'm so tired of slightly interactive list HOs. This game is a MAJOR disappointment put out by one of my favorite developers!
Only good thing.......... I got it for free using a punch card code.

I ESPECIALLY liked this game because it required me to THINK. Jump map available but only showed you available actions so I had to use my brain to remember where to go and what to do. LOVED the mirrors which were portals.
This was a LONG game and I couldn't stop playing until I was done. In fact I purchased it some weeks ago and just played it again and it was as challenging as the first time.
The bonus game was totally worth it, too.

special thanks to the developer for bringing us varied HOs. These days I would almost purchase a game IF it wasn't strictly list HOs. ! LOVED the HOs!
Great story and pretty challenging in places (mainly because I was never sure what my sidekick racoon was capable of... sometimes strong teeth like a beaver and sometimes waited for me to cut threads..rofl)
The bonus game in my opinion was totally worth it.. fairly long and once again varied and fun HOs...

I remember playing the trial and not being impressed but was looking for a game for the buy one get one and based on my faith in other's reviews I decided that this would be my "get one". Holy smokes! Great game.. long and FUN !!

That was my husband's remark about this game. After months of watching him play Farmscape day after day I was able to beta test this game and found one that he and I might both like. Now I think I've created a monster... hard to get MY turn to play!!

Eipix hit the mark with this one in my book! Complaints about the graphics? NONE. Reminded me of the old Walt Disney cartoons. .. nostalgia with a twist. Adored this game and the ONLY thing that could have made it better for me (and I say this every time I review one of their games) is that they need to be more creative with the HOs.. sooo tired of the lists! What excited me are the progressive HOs so I wish they would progress with their creativity in this one area.
Main game save the kids...... bonus game you get them home. Wonderful afternoon playing this game.. and it took me the better part of it.

I'm FLOORED that one of my favorite developers created such a boring game! Besides the story and adventure being weak, they CONTINUE to provide us with unimaginative list HOs which I found there to be too many of... groan......
I wasn't impressed with the demo but so many folks loved this game I thought I was missing something. I wasn't.

And who can resist this weekend's 2 for 1 sale?
I was honored to be able to beta test this game a long time ago and have been waiting patiently for it to come out.
Loved everything about the game since challenge and gameplay is my main objective with a heck of a lot of fun along the way. Thank goodness I didn't wait for the SE as was suggested by some because the bonus chapter was LONG and once again really entertaining. Developers can keep their "collectibles", morphing objs., etc as far as I'm concerned b/c what I look for is length and entertainment and I certainly got both here! I hope I get to beta the next Echoes game, too!
