Well, this is an entertaining, but somewhat tedious game. Basically you spend a lot of time building cannons more than anything else. Cute animations and voice-overs but I found even on relaxed mode, it is basically impossible after the first island (demo mode) to get any stars.
Unlike other time-management games you cannot assign multiple actions. Each character has to finish what they are doing and return "home" before you can continue. This REALLY slows the game down and presents some frustrating finger tapping while you wait for someone to get done. Even with multiple characters there is enough time wasted that prevents you from beating the timer/star calculator. I just figured it was never going to happen so ignored it...but it was still frustrating for general game-play.
I got as far as the Tropical Island 3-8 and was not able to go any further. Either there is a glitch or I am really missing something because you don't start with enough "quarry stones" in your inventory and there is no place to acquire anymore, at least that I can find, to get through to the quarry building to build and acquire more. Tried over and over and couldn't not get beyond this level...so good luck, maybe someone out there has the key. So that soured me on the game and into the trash it goes.
I don't recommend this game.

I played the demo and enjoyed it but waited until my credit came to buy so this review is after playing the entire game.
There seemed to be a lot of characters in the beginning and I kind of lost track of who they were, who killed them and why they were even in the story to begin with. The story didn't really justify their presence in the game. Story just seemed a bit too choppy, like what was the piano players real part in the whole story. A few loose ends here.
There were plenty of HOS for those who completed the game as well as puzzles. I set both the hint and skip to recharge quickly as I'm not much of a puzzle player, but found the puzzles I did play to be not much of a challenge. Got a bit tired of running around to pick up one thing and then another but the transporter map was good and helped the game move smoothly.
Colors were dark and some of the HOS were hard to find because of it. HOS were varied, some interactive, some pairing and some straight list. Voice overs were well done. Length was good, not too short or long and the end wrapped up this SE well so you weren't left hanging.
I recommend this game!

The ole "through the time portal" stuff is getting old. Interesting HOS but they were very dark. Skipped almost all the puzzles...same-o same-o and I'm not a puzzle doer anyway.
A little irritated the hint was a slow refresh but the skip was very fast...odd. The map was OK, but didn't show you where the next "action" step was so you had to take a guess between places. I used the hint to move around faster and more to the point. Voice overs OK except that nasty little kid...should have left him in the building. The color to the whole game was dark and got very annoying. OK length, but I'm sure there will be a follow-up which will probably have portals....again. Good thing I just used a game credit.
I don't recommend this game.

Well, heck...this was a boring one. Very monotonous and you couldn't even keep the extra guy when you move to a different level...maybe it got better, but I was too bored to find out.

After playing Hidden Wonders/Atlantis Adventure which was an amazing, fun game, I thought this one would be just as good. Well, I was wrong. Game board was a small one so it had to keep reshuffling itself which got really annoying. Although there were different board challenges, they got very boring. It would have been better if there had been more actual match 3 than there was. Got real tired of doing the dame thing over and over again.
Even though this is a timed game with no option for relax play, it didn't offer a lot of challenge. Powerups refreshed quickly so if you got stuck, you always seemed to have something to get you through.
I could only handle it through level 14...by that time I figured it wasn't going to get any better.
Save your money and by the Hidden Wonders/Atlantis Adventure...that one is a hoot.
I don't recommend this game.

I am amazed at the creativity of the developers when I play a match 3 as unique as this one. Amazing sound effects and graphics as well as just plain fun. Truly love the sound effects.
Offers both timed and relax play. I usually will start out with relax play the first time through and then go back and play with timed once I get familiar with the ins and outs of a particular game. However, it appears this game offers the opportunity to skip a level if you are playing timed and get frustrated on a level, as well as restart. Power-ups are available to unblock and move you along.
Very creative, fun match 3 that also has a few HOS and mini games which are as fun as the match 3. I highly recommend this to all levels of players.
This is the first in this series I've played and I intend to definitely purchase both 1 and 2.
I recommend this game!

Not sure what has happened to this series, but its probably time to move on. I remember the first ones and enjoyed them but this one was dismal.
Game seemed very short to me. A lot of very tedious mini games/puzzles which I completely skipped, run of the mill HOS and a cumbersome transporter map. I ended up just using the hint to move around because it was faster and to just get to the end of a very drab game. Storyline was an old one...this series is just worn out.
Glad I got it at a discount. Not sure what is going on with this developer as lately the games coming out of this shop seem less than desired. Sad. Basically, don't waste your money.
I don't recommend this game.

Apparently I wasn't as sold on this game as others have been. I found the gameplay to be awkward and not real smooth at all. A lot of "go here, pick up one item, go there" which really got old. Storyline was a bit confusing and still not sure what really happened at the end as far as who got shot....I have my suspicions but it was done all in the dark. Not a fan of games that end that way.
The transporter map was good and needed since you were jumping all over. Hint and skip could be adjusted in the custom setting so they would refresh quickly...which was good.
Voice overs were a bit annoying. Inventory bar would fill up and moving it was choppy. HOS were interactive and interesting and I skipped a few of the puzzles. Some puzzles could not be skipped and you had to use the journal #which wasn't always clear# to figure things out...like the dart board for example.
Found the game to be a good length, just awkward and confusing at times....not well planned out.
I recommend this game!

I really enjoyed this smooth flowing game. Excellent animations, color and graphics. Custom setting option and excellent transporter map, which was definitely needed as you did move around a bit, but only in the directions needed.
Voice overs were very good and I enjoyed the storyline although it has been used before. Game ended very well and completed the game. HOS were interactive and included some morphing which was a good change. Mini games/puzzles were doable and I did skip some because I am not a big puzzled player.
Story stayed on track and the HOS and puzzles were not so disruptive that you lost track. Hard core players who need a difficult game would probably not like this or find it too easy, but I found it fun to play and relaxing. I like smooth flowing games. No glitches I found. Not the longest game in the world but not short either. Good deal for your money.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game although towards the end I was getting a bit antsy for it to end and started using the hint to move around faster. A lot of running around so the transporter map was a definite "must have".
Voice overs were good, but in some cases repetitive and that was annoying. Storyline was there, but not real deep, the game was most seek, find and do. HOS were all shadow and could be a challenge as each piece was used to find the next. The hint refreshed quickly, but the skip was slow therefore if you chose not to play a mini game, it did slow the total game down, which got annoying.
There was some dialog explaining the story that tended to get wordy but you could skip it. Graphics, animations and color were excellent. Basically and enjoyable game and worth full price.
I recommend this game!
