My biggest desire for BFG is to go back to producing quality games like this. Everything about it is great...graphics, story, challenge. I strongly suggest at least a trial of this game. Just know that it's a bit more of challenge than most games produced today.
I'm not a big fan of this developer. So often, I tire of the drag of their games and so many feel exactly like the one before. This game was silly (in a good way) fun. It could have been a bit creepier and a little less "cheese" so I knocked off a star for that. However, I do recommend this game. The intro cut-scene was done VERY well. Once upon a time, all BF games had this type of graphics quality.
I'm typically not the biggest fan of this developer, but they really did an outstanding job on this game. The selection of balance between adventure modes is a big plus. The artwork was beautifully done and, most importantly, the story itself was engrossing. A lot of these games, recently, have felt like a series of puzzles/hogs with a bit of story wrapped around them. That was not the case here. I highly recommend it, but as always, I suggest a trial as everyone has different tastes.
I bought this because I typically like all Elephant Games, but this time I should have listened to the reviews. I'm speechless as to how bad this game is. I swear, nearly every developer seems to take us all for complete idiots when designing these games. The tasks have absolutely no real life basis. Watering a flower and having a doll drop out. Really??? I don't believe every puzzle has to be brain-buster but geeze, a kindergartener could complete this game! I have over 500 games in my library but I'm ready to give up on BFG and cancel my membership because things keep getting worse.
I've played most of the Domini's games. I've yet to play a single one that didn't bore me to tears within an hour. They just do NOT know how to create a game that engages. If that's not bad enough, they use every gaming cliche imaginable and every game has the exact same sad tasks to do over and over again. This game is no exception. The concept was good, but the execution was terrible. I honestly think that the remaining BFG adventure game creators have completely exhausted their game ideas and just continue to crank out the same game with a slightly different premise each time.
This is game is beyond bad in terms of quality and graphics. This both angers and saddens me. I've always liked Elephant Games, but it seems like every developer on BFG keeps cutting more and more corners. This game is like something BFG put out around 10 years ago in terms of look and feel. None of them are engaging anymore and the graphics keeps getting worse. Each one feels like a repeat of the last one. I STRONGLY suggest a trial before buying!
I had grave reservations about GrandMa taking over this game series (my favorite). Unfortunately, it's even worse than I feared. I trialed the demo but I uninstalled it long before the time was up. I won't be buying this mess. BFG marketing needs to have a big pow-wow and come up with a major solution to the mess that it's adventure games have become. Nothing about them is fun anymore. Every game feels exactly like a hundred others. MCF fans....I STRONGLY SUGGEST A TRIAL BEFORE BUYING THIS ONE!
While I realize many folks like Domini Games, I've yet to find any of their games engaging. I'm usually bored after about 15 mins. Plus, every one of their games feels exactly like all the rest. I bought this because I thought they might do better with it since they took it over from Eipix. Wrong! They managed to turn this series into a snooze fest too. So many developers have abandoned adventure games and those that remain seem to be out of ideas and as bored as their players are. Needless to say, I don't recommend this game.
My fave developer is back with a great new game. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I'm a stickler for great graphics. 5-BN is the only BF developer that has consistently held its ground in not cutting corners on graphics. I've been playing adventure games since the 90s and great graphics have always been important to story progression and engagement (at least it is for me). This developer has always been great at creating fantastic stories and this game is no exception there either. My only gripe is that the puzzles could have been a little more challenging. I still give it 5 stars however. As always, I suggest a trial before buying to see if meets your approval. :)
OK, I'll get this out of the way first. This game had some of the most absolute ridiculous tasks imaginable in it. There were so many tasks that would absolutely never work in real life. Add to this, the endless "hiding" spots for tools that leave you scratching your head as to "why"? I'm getting really tired of nearly all BFG games becoming an assault upon gamers' intelligence. Either the developers aren't very smart or else they consider us gamers lemmings who will buy anything regardless of how ridiculous the task are.
