Friendly Fox is by far one of the best remaining adventure game developers on BFG. This is one of my favorite series and, once again, they have done an outstanding job. I highly recommend it and suggest you at least use the trial.
This is yet another great game for the last truly great original BFG adventure game developer.
As to the profile issue people are speaking of, I'm not sure why they've chosen to do this either, but there is a solution which I've used for all BF games over the years. It requires some effort, but only takes a few seconds once you learn what to do.
Do a windows search for FILE EXPLORER OPTIONS When the dialog opens, switch to the VIEW tab. Now select SHOW HIDDEN FOLDERS from the selections shown. (You will only have to do this part one time, unless you remove and reinstall an operating system.)
Once this is done, open WINDOWS EXPLORER (if you don't know what this is, you can do another search for it) select your C drive, then your USERNAME (this is unique for you), then APPDATA, then ROAMING and then find the FIVE-BN folder and delete it. All game data will now be deleted.
Now you can restart the game from the beginning.
After I finish a BF game, I uninstall it, and then I do this procedure. When I later reinstall the game, it's like I've never played it before. Hope this helps
This is the worst MCF game yet. Last year's wasn't very good, but I don't even feel like finishing this one. I truly wish the graphics quality across BFG would move higher than the current cartoon look of every single developer. These cheesy graphics have done more to kill adventure games than any other factor. We are all paying more and getting less from BFG for the past few years.
I have to give this developer credit for creating beautiful games. I prefer adventure games but I enjoy these types on occasions. For me, the graphics alone were worth the price of the game.
While Casual Arts games seem to be very popular on BFG, I've never been a huge fan. This game was an exception. I have really enjoyed playing it. I like this much better than the other series. They overdid the Halloween items but somehow that works with this game.
I've had this game in my library for many years, but I'd never played it until now. I like everything about it...the storyline, the engagement, and the challenge. I wish BFG still made games of the caliber.
For me, this is the best BFG release in years. It's very well. done. It has humor, challenge, great graphics, and an engaging storyline. My hat is off to the developers. I highly recommend at least a trial of this game.
5BN has always done an impressive job of creating games. They are, by far, my favorite developer on BFG. They have not caved in and taken shortcuts over the years, as all the other developers have done. Secondly, they always do great 3D animated games. This is a very long game and well-worth the CE price, even without a discount. I've been playing for 4 days and I'm only half-way through the game. I usually play around 2hrs per day, so you can do the math. The puzzles are on the difficult side. I have been skipping quite a few, as I don't want to spend most of the 2hr session on a single puzzle, and not because I can't solve them. I highly recommend the game.
I'll begin my review with a few questions. Why couldn't BF spend a bit to get British voice actors for all characters in its biggest-selling game series? Why is BF intent on destroying the entire adventure game genre with such poor quality and unimaginative games? How do you call this anything remotely akin to an MCF game? Based on these questions, you can guess my suggestion on whether to buy it. BF needs to stick to the basics of what makes an MCF game an MCF game before any story writing begins.
