Not like the typical pixel paint and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Difficult enough to be challenging and easy enough to be relaxing. And the little pixel squares fall away as you replace them with color which is oddly satisfying. My issue was that = after I bought it - I keep getting error - violation - messages. I don't have that problem with any other game so I'm thinking its the game, not the computer, but the real issue there is that it does not save the progress. I really don't like that I have to start over from the beginning when i was almost finished. There should be an auto save function like most games have. Relluctantly I would say buy but try it first.
It is true that the pictures in this puzzle are mostly quite boring. Dining room table and chairs, person typing on a PC, bowl of soup, decorative bowl, child in a kitchen, woman reading, 2 bureau drawers, bookshelves, coffee tables, water running. You can scroll through so I found several I was content with on the demo. Game play was good but lacking a few of the features of the better games of this typel I use the sort function to clear all the pieces from the center after I have done the edges, but this game just moves them around and you still have to clear them yourself The other thing I like is the corner lines indicated so you can see the size of your game, but this game does not have that. You cannot increase the size or move the puzzle page, and the pictures themselves are considerably smaller than they need to be. Not a buy for me.
This is the well known up.down where you have to find the gold cards and when that is done the round is over. I enjoy these games as they are relaxing and not so difficult but there is nothing new to this one. You might like it.
I really enjoyed this game. I do not recall playing one from this developer before so maybe that's why I wasn't bored as the other reviewers. As I usually say, try it for yourself. If you love this genre there's a good chance you'll like it. I liked the story, the graphics even if they are a little to anime for my taste and I liked the game play. The only complaint I agree with is there should be a way to play with moves vs. time. It is also a little annoying that you are supposed to get a bomb when you make a match of five and most of the time that doesn't happen. Odd.
I found the scenes and finding all the various animals enjoyable. Pretty pictures, just enough challenge for me to be fun instead of frustrating. I plan to buy.

I'm not a big HO game fan but I do like this type. For me this game would have been a 5, except for errors and glitches. It didn't hurt that I lived in the Bay area for about 20 years so it was a fun revisit. I found that they called a macaron - macaroni and they call a great blue heron a stork and there seemed to sometimes be "prerequesites" for clicking. For example, I would see the handpump on the list and click on it but it wouldn't work until I clicked another correct object first. Problem is they don't tell you that and sometimes you got the right thing but that makes you unsure if you did.
I love the relaxtion of coloring games like Art by Numbers and Art Coloring, but this one is lacking. The colors are mostly pretty monochromatic, the subjects are boring - kitten, umbrella, single flower, teddy bear, etc., all with no backgrounds and so pixelated that they only sort of look like the item. Also lacking the ability to count how many of a number you have left which, for me, makes the coloring games more fun. Also, when you choose a number to color they sort of highlight it but with all the shades of gray - as many as there are numbers, it doesn't help find the number you want. A no buy for me.
I'm not at all big on the HOPs or Time Management games, so when something else comes along I am happy to see it. I found this an enjoyable game. Yes it is like others - not much way to change these games up - but I still find it relaxing and fun. Keep 'em coming Big Fish! As always, I just suggest you try before you decide.
I found this game enjoyable. Challenging enough to be fun but not so challenging as to be frustrating. I'm of Norse descent so that made it fun for me too. I know some people like misc. games thrown in, but so often it is mahjong which I don't enjoy so I was happy to just have match 3 play for a change. I bought this game.
I like the solitaire games like this that challenge you to find specific gold cards to win. Otherwise it is like most up/down solitaire games. People complain that it is the same as always but that's kind of the nature of the game IMO. Try it for yourself.
