Okay, you can ignore the ESL dialog, because it doesn't affect the game play. There are loads of HOS's in this game, and some of them are pretty challenging. The hint button recharges at a good pace, so you're not sitting around gritting your teeth over something you just can't find. There are lots and lots of scenes, so there is plenty of game time. This game is worth the money, in my opinion.
I really liked the concept of this game, and enjoyed choosing the different elements of the renovations. A few things that could have made the game better were 1) more options in the renovations that actually went together; 2) less time changing scenes; 3) larger items in the HOS's. Overall, I enjoyed playing this.
I loved the character of this game, finding pieces of puzzles instead of HOS's. Not perfect, only because the telling of the story can't be skipped, and when you're playing for the second or third time, you really don't want to read everything all over again. Over all, a really good game.
I really enjoyed this little game. Really cute character as the mom, and I enjoyed the scene changes and the colorful atmosphere. Easy little mini games, a little fuzzy on the HOS's, but all in all, worth a few dollars. ESL is apparent, as a handkerchief is labeled "nasal scarf" and a grenade in a couple of scenes is a "garnet." The hint button recharges fairly quickly, though, so if you can't find the garnet or the nasal scarf, the hint function will save you!
Wish I hadn't spent the money on this one. It's feels old, tired, murky and dirty. The scenes are not well painted, and the dialog is clearly ESL. I can't think of a good reason to buy this.
I really loved playing this game, loved the storyline where I'm the girlfriend trying to save her boyfriend from a monster crazy scientist! I very much liked the scenes, puzzles, HOS's, etc. I'll probably buy the sequel, as well.
Just finished playing the trial, and I will definitely be purchasing this game! Different kind of story, great game play, and the time went so quickly, leaving me wanting more.
So many scenes in the Opera House, and the graphics are so lovely that I am truly drawn in to these opulent rooms, snow drifting in through broken windows, drifts piled high against outbuildings. Shivers! Moving from room to room, down long corridors ending in magnificently carved doors leading into still more corridors and empty rooms, you can just feel what it must have been like when there were people laughing and dancing and dining. I loved this game! Worth the money.
First off, I really like the Mystery Trackers games, even if this one had a pretty murky story line. Oh well...I loved the game play, the puzzles were very good for me, and I liked the HOS's a lot. Worth my money!
