If you don't like HOS, you probably won't like this one. There are many of them, and I enjoyed playing every single one. Others have mentioned the graphics and artwork -- in my opinion among the best. The score was spooky in places with the cello, soothing in others with the piano. I absolutely think the music added tremendously to my enjoyment of the game.
It's a new game to add to my favorites. I can't think of anything that would have made it better.
I recommend this game!

This is a very long game, which will please most players feeling they got their money's worth, but I found myself wondering when it would be over. There is much backing and forthing. (Why, oh, why was it necessary to find a spool of thread, then another trek to find a needle, then another trek to find scissors?) Thankfully, the map is interactive, even though you do have to guess which active area to go to next, but the game isn't linear, and at times was confusing for that reason.
I really wish all developers would adopt the custom settings that are available in this game. I loved being able to have a short hint and skip refill without having sparkles everywhere.
The hummingbirds didn't have any purpose at all, and once you "poof" them, their hiding places continue to flash, which I found distracting and could have done without.
The ending was abrupt and not terribly satisfying, but was obviously meant to signal that there will be a sequel.
A good game, but not a great one.
I recommend this game!

This is an easy game with nice artwork. I don't play puzzles, but the ones I encountered seemed fairly easy, and the skip button filled quickly enough. The HOS are easy as well. Hints are active outside the HOS and are the directional arrow type (yea!).
The story is about a mother who performed scientific experiments on her own daughter that resulted in putting the girl into a coma, and who, from the notes you find lying around, seems to be mostly unavailable -- "Sorry, I forgot to tell you about my business trip. I won't be able to pick you up from school. I love you. Mom." Now you have to rescue the girl by using a device that allows you to see into her locked-up mind.
This game is way too cutesy for me, but the main issue, I think, is that it tries to be cute-loveable and spooky-evil at the same time. The voice of the teddy bear "helper" is extremely grating, and the music is annoying enough to be a turn off even if the rest of the game was the best ever, which it isn't.
I definitely recommend trying before buying.

It should have been a tremendous achievement, but the tunnel through the Ridge of Leviathan became the site of a great disaster. What really happened that day?

Everything about this game is a five-star, perfect Pachyderm except for the hints which tell you exactly what to do, which IMO spoils a lot of the fun. You do have the ability to turn off hints in the advanced mode, but I need one every now and then, in addition to an interactive map, if available, which it is in this game. I would much prefer a directional hint, e.g. a pointing arrow. As a result, I wound up being on the fence as to whether or not I would buy what is otherwise an outstanding effort by this developer and have decided to pass on it for now.

I am loving this game! The best I've played in a long time and a new favorite! There are lots of interesting, beautifully done HOGs and it seems like an equal number of puzzles or mini-games. HOS are colorful and clear. You can skip the HOGs and play match three instead. The hints are useful outside of the HOS. Hint and skip buttons don't take too long to fill, even for me. Three levels of play. You can switch to a different level after starting the game. Gorgeous artwork. Realistic animation. Great voicing. Logical sequencing. It's a definite buy for me. If I could give it more than five stars, I would.
I recommend this game!

Playing the demo, I was immediately hooked by the story and the ambience of the university and bought the game on the 50% sale.
I like everything here except the progressive HOS. I found them to be somewhat confusing and needed to use a hint more than usual in order to know what action to take to obtain the next item. Others who are more experienced with this type of HOS may have no problem solving them.
So far I have used the walkthrough once, and the interactive map has been not just helpful but necessary, as it isn't always evident where to go next. Nevertheless, I'm enjoying this game a lot.
I will just say ditto to everything JustTheFacts said in her review and also recommend it. Good, fun game and worth the price.
I recommend this game!

Some reviewers have complained that the sound was garbled. It was fine for me, but the cursor was a little bit jittery. The artwork is pretty standard but nice. Objects are not difficult to find although some did require a bit of patience. Hint and skip buttons refill in a short amount of time in easy mode. Like others have said, this would be a good game for beginners. I got bored with the demo, but I'm not sure if it was really the game or if I'm getting burned out on these games and need to take a break for a while.
Some will like this simple little game, and some won't, but you should try it for yourself.
I recommend this game!

I bought this game because of the developer, even though it was against my better judgment after playing the demo. Although it's up to pachyderm standards as far as artwork goes, and although I believe many, many fishies will fall all over themselves rushing to give it five stars, I should have paid attention to my hunches on this one and passed on it, mainly because I'm wearing out the hint button and the map.
I'm not sure if it's due to bad design, or because some of the items are quite arcane or else not used in the usual way. I'm finding that too much of the time I have no clue what to do next after finishing a HOS or obtaining a useful object by some other means. I ask the froggy, she tells me what to do, I do it, and then I'm stuck again. I think part of the reason is that there doesn't seem to be any logic or order to the sequencing of tasks. I did not find the task list to be helpful.
Another thing that annoyed me was the train that agents use to get from the village to the castle headquarters. Initially, you must help the engineer get the train going. Then for a while after that, you're able to go to the castle without riding the train. But later a storm hits, damages the track, and now you have to repair the track and then ride the train to the castle again.
It's as if many people worked on different pieces of the game, but when they stitched them together, the pieces didn't exactly match.
I recommend this game!

This game is really easy in terms of the adventure element, which would be fine for a game to relax with if the story were better. Maybe the suspense improves after the demo.
Negatives for me were:
*Too many cut scenes.
*Way too much explanation of the backstory.
*All of the HOS I encountered in the demo were the progressive silhouette type, which I hate..
*Too many puzzles.
Positives:
*The hints are a directional arrow outside of the HOS.
*The puzzle skip button fills quickly.
So that's it for me. Two stars, no buy.
I don't recommend this game.
