I loved this game based on the demo. Soothing color scheme and one of my favorite settings. Great graphics, fun puzzles, good story line; pretty much everything I seek in a game. I'll be buying it.
I recommend this game!

I liked this game for the most part. Good story line and graphics. I have issue with the instructions for most of the mini games; they made no sense to me. I've played these games for years, so I like to believe I can understand instructions. I think this is yet another game that was translated into English by someone who is not fluent in English. Overall, it's a pretty good game. I'll probably buy it when the standard edition comes out.
I recommend this game!

I tried to like this game. It started out fine, with clever and creative puzzles. Unfortunately the music was LOUD unless you muted it all together. And there was a cranking type of reverberating sound in the background that was incredibly irritating. You have to mute all sound, which means that conversations were also muted. Some of the puzzle directions were hard to understand, as though they were translated into English by someone who doesn't know a lot of English. Maybe someone will really like this game. Not me.
I don't recommend this game.

I tried to like this game:There were the soothing colors and great graphics; cute story line. But there was the irritating music, items in the HOPs that needed a magnifying glass to locate, and many times they didn't even look like the named article; clearly the game was translated into English by folks who don't speak English. It made it too convoluted, and I got tired of trying to figure out what went where. I've been playing HOP/Adventure games for many years, but this one just didn't do it for me. Give me Spirit of Revenge or Chimeras games.
I don't recommend this game.

I am learning to not rely solely on people's ratings of games. I know that I've ranked games lower on days that were just crappy in general. So when I find one with a low rating, I'll play the demo and see for myself. This was one of those games with meh ratings. Domini Games can go either way, but they always have beautiful scenery with soothing color palettes and music that's not obnoxious. This game was all that plus a lot of different puzzles to solve. I was a little bummed that there were only a few things to do in each scene, but the story flowed well and was fun overall. I'm glad I tried it.
I recommend this game!

I played the demo several months ago and was surprised to see that it's listing today as the issue date. Why is Domini Games re-hashing old games? Don't they have any game developers any more? They haven't come out with a truly NEW game in a long time, and I've played pretty much all of their games so I know of whence I speak. I found this game irritating and a bit confusing. At times the Back arrow becomes a Skip arrow, so instead of returning to the previous scene, you suddenly skipped a game that you didn't know you were playing. It could just be me, but I don't have the patience to deal with it. Hey, you may love this game; who knows?
I don't recommend this game.

This game has great graphics and a good story line. I found the puzzles to be geared more toward children than adults. Some of the voices were just plain weird. It's a good game; just not my style. I like challenging & creative puzzles and voices that are better suited to the character. Pre-teens will love it if you forget that it's about a serial killer. Seriously, why would you pair such a violent theme with children's puzzles???
I recommend this game!

I've played all of Domini's games & own many of them. They tend to be hit or miss. This one is a miss for me. I'm a grown up and like to play grown up-level games. Do games are getting to be more and more for the pre-teen set. If I were 12 years old, maybe I'd like the simplicity of this one. But I'm not, so I don't. I've been a Big Fish member for 14 years. The games used to be awesome: great graphics & story lines, challenging games & puzzles, etc. Not so for the past couple of years. It's as though BF just doesn't care enough to provide new, adult level games. That's a shame because these kiddie games are getting old. Or, maybe the pre-teen set is their new target audience. Only BF knows.
I don't recommend this game.

I love HOP games and have played a lot of Domini's games. They are pretty much hit or miss. I think this one was a hit. Their graphics are always detailed and the colors are soothing instead of glaring. Many times their games seemed to be geared toward pre teens, but this one didn't have the irritating high-pitched voices and sophomoric banter. The puzzles were varied and fun, and the storyline made sense (not that it always matters to me). All in all, I liked it enough that I'll buy it when the regular version is available. I'm not a fan of the CEs.
I recommend this game!

Domini games are hit or miss. This was a miss. I tried to like this game, and the opening graphics did not disappoint. But the childish story, incredibly irritating large Achievement pop-ups that refused to disappear, and ever-increasingly mindless games quickly changed my mind. It seems that Domini, and perhaps Big Fish as well, are moving toward games for the pre-teen set. That's disappointing, because over the years I've bought hundreds of BF games. Unfortunately, I keep collecting credits because there are no new games worth full price. Has BF become the wrong company for HOP/Adventure games for grown-ups?
I don't recommend this game.
