This game has everything, achievements to earn, HOS that are not junkpiles (which are appropriate to the time period and story), puzzles (which are not too hard), items to collect throughout the game and the bonus game is just as much fun as the main game! Based on the story of Thumbalina!
You really don't need the SG that is included as the hint button (which really comes from another story# basically tells you what to do next. You also have a transporter map #beam me up Scotty#; this saves you from a lot of going back and forth.
The graphics are absolutely beautiful, the story is great, even the bonus chapter which could be an entire story by itself. I can only hope that they make more stories like this one!
This sort of reminds me of the Dark Parables series though not as "dark". The voices the cut scenes are beautifully done and the characters are based on real people #when you see the concept art you'll see#.
This is a great game to play while I'm snuggled in my house waiting for the end of Hurricane Sandy #we'll be getting the worst part of it tonight# and hopefully I'll have the power to play it again #yes, I've already finished it and it's so good you'll want to play it again, like me as well#.
It's a great game for all levels of players.
It's so good I wish I could give it more than 5 STARS!

This game was great, I really enjoyed it; though I would have preferred it to be less violent and do not recommend it for children under the age of 13.
As usual from the developers the graphics, cut scenes and voices are beautifully done, the storyline is good but I feel it leans a little too much towards the dark side! There is an appearance from a character from a previous Parable and a hint at a future game. In the Collector's edition the is an extra game that is a sort of prequel to the main game.
There is a map which indicates points of interest and tasks to be done; my only suggestion is to be able to use the map to go to specific areas instead of going back and forth. The mini games go from easy to hard; the HO scenes are not too cluttered and there are morphing objects to click on to make the hint button restore quicker.
All in all another great game from this developer my only objections are the violence (I'm for not killing animals even if they are not real and only storybook characters# and the frequent going back and forth #it's a lot easier to use the map and get transported to the scene you need).

I had looked forward to the final chapter of this game, I really enjoyed the storyline and was enjoying the game until I got towards the end of it.
It seems that they added these 2 doofus characters and the minute you finished one mini game and turned to the next scene you were immediately brought to another mini game which was the same as in past mini games in the story only a bit more complicated.
It made me think that the developers were running out of ideas and only added all the mini games to expand the storyline to make the game long enough.
It got to the point where I wanted to pull my hair out, thank you there was the skip button! Oh and it may not be the end of the story so there will probably be another Awakening ... in the future.
I'm recommending this game only if you love mini games (as well as HO's) you have a slew of them here.
I recommend this game!

I tried out the beta version of this game and felt only lovers of the book would really want this game, (I believe I gave it a so-so rating because of this) anyone else would hate it. It's confusing, you have to guess from scene to scene what to do, the cartoon characters were a pain in the (put in your own words) and were drawn terribly; the music could have been better as well as the graphics. I really didn't recommend this game except for those extreme Jane Austen fans. This game really needed improvements before it was released!

Here's my top 10 reasons
10--Good storyline, you get to determine the ending (two choices#.
9--music was good and didn't detract from the game.
8--strategy guide stayed where you last entered, it to look for help, though for the most part I didn't use it. There was no starting from the beginning and having to go through where you left off as in other games.
7--separate SG for finding all those figureines #which give you achievements#.
6--achievements for various accomplishments throughout the game.
5--voices of the characters were very good and suited the characters.
4--cut scenes continued the story during the game were very good though a bit fuzzy which is my only complaint.
3--helpers to assist during various tasks, you have a couple of main ones and others pop up later in the game, hint helper actually gives you suggestions on what you need to do next in case you get stuck.
2--interactive map is excellent, brings you where you need to be and even that gives you hints on places you need to do things.
1--great graphics, clean and crisp though in a few instances a little dark in spots #for the hidden objects which are interactive).

I loved the first game it had lots of romance and the gaining of psychic power section of the first game was good. I wish they had included it and made the 2nd game more like the first. Too much time was spent searching for and freeing her girlfriend.
However on a positive note the mini games were fun and somewhat challenging, the graphics were good and when we finally got to Hari that was enjoyable. The ending was good but I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'm not going to say any more.

The storyline was different from the usual, the HOG's were usually easy to find though a couple of them were hidden in dark corners. Had to use some of the items collected to make other objects work. The graphics were great, crisp and clear. The bonus chapter was a prequel to the story which I wish could have ended differently.
The cut scenes were graphically great as well as the voices.
The only thing I did not like was going back and forth too much.
