level 5 asked for silver ingots got the 2 needed for the silversmith but then to fix the place to put the tower it askes for another ingot searched all through the scene after replaying it 3 times there is no 3rd ingot; doesn't someone beta test these games before they are released? I have played this series previously and liked them but this one doesn't get a pass. THERE IS AN OLD PHRASE "STRAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT" GUYS GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!
Just the first episode and I ran out of time too quickly; and it was not the expert selection. What is going on I repeated the first episode and it happened again. I love this series but people will get disheartened if the time for each episode runs out TOO QUICKLY. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS BEFORE I CAN RECOMMEND IT!@!!!!!

Demo only; casual mode-- loved the graphics and the voices matched the characters. Characters to find as well as morphing objects; found characters easily morphs were a little tougher. Although they may get harder as the game progresses.
Map transports you and also indicates whether or not there are characters to find as well as morphing objects. After the year we had I prefer fantasy games (usually prefer them anyway) and hopefully this one will have a happy ending as we can all use one.
Horrors someone stole the Christmas Star, without it Christmas won't come so it's up to you and your kitty to save Christmas! Why would someone steal it and prevent Christmas from happening, it's up to you to solve the mystery and get the star back before time runs out!
Again another wonderful game from the ellyphants, the graphics, the music the voices are as usual great and it really puts you in the holiday mood.
I played in casual till the end of the demo and it is definitely a must buy for me. I have all the other games in this series and this will be added to my collection. I did find the puzzles easy in the beginning maybe they get a bit harder as you go on, but that was the only flaw.
I found:
1--graphics are beautiful and colorful, though in some areas a bit dark. 2--voices are appropriate though a bit too loud when directly speaking 3--music is seasonal and beautifully done though again a bit too loud so I turned down the volume 4--later in the game you are given a map which tells you where you have tasks to be performed and even puzzle pieces to find and it also transports you (beam me up Scotty) 5--morphing objects to find 6--different types of HOS to find, sillouettes, lists, pieces to put in appropriate places 7--helper kitten which you found on your doorstep at the beginning 8--puzzle pieces to find 9--SG lists 5 chapters plus bonus 10--usual concept art, screensavers, wallpapers, music, secret room, collectibles and achievements
All in all a beautifully done game right in time for Christmas and it appears good for all ages so even the kids should enjoy it. While I know each person's taste is different you should try the demo and I'm sure you'll like it.
I did the beta test for this game and couldn't wait for it to come out for everyone; the only problem I had with it was that it took too long to download. It still may take a bit of time but the speed was greatly improved; and believe me it is worth the wait.
I've played the whole game in casual mode (I have all of the DP games# and it took most of the day even with skipping some of the puzzles which I found to be a bit difficult. Unlike some of the other games released recently this is a long game 10 chapters plus the bonus game; it also includes a hint of the future DP game #not telling#.
What I found: 1--graphics are beautiful, containing all the colors of the rainbow, crisp and clear. 2--voices are appropriate to the characters which are very well drawn. 3--movies are also well done and continue the story along. 4--HOs the usual for this game though finding some of the items gets a bit more difficult as the game progresses. 5--puzzles galore and difficulty increases as the game progresses. 6--transporter map #beam me up Scotty) also indicates where you have tasks to be done. 7--snowflake collectibles located in every scene which are not so easy to find. 8--morphing parable pieces to find also not easy to locate which are not in every scene; finding all the pieces opens the story. 9--the usual collector extras videos; looking for collectibles; replayable puzzles; HOs; wallpapers etc.
It looks like they spent a lot of time working on this game before it's release and it shows in the graphics and difficulty in the HOs; and puzzles as well as the length of the game itself.
My preference are the fantasy games and I mentioned that I have all the DP games but technically this is one of the best that I have found and the time they took with it qualitywise shows. This may not be everyone's cup of "tea" but try the demo and I think you will become as hooked as I was.
If I could give it more stars I would give it a 10 and I highly recommend this game.
I have all of these games and have always enjoyed them (except Gold Bug) this one was sooooooo promising, extremely creepy, scary, graphics were excellent as well as the sound and voiceovers (except where is Dupin's French accent?#
The HOS were somewhat difficult to figure out in some instances and the puzzles not the usual standard which was good #I had to skip a couple cause I wanted to find out why and whodunit#.
However, the game ended TOO quickly and rather abruptly. I am now partway through the bonus game so maybe that will have the answer. If that is the case it should have been a part of the main game which would have made it a decent length for a CE. This is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.
1--HOS shilloutesp? and interactive 2--Puzzles some easy and some hard 3--map lists completed and places to do things and transporter #beam me up Scotty# you have to click on the location a few times 4--collectible cards to find in each scene #listing previous DT games) 6--usual extras, wallpapers, movies, HOs; etc.
As mentioned I found the game to be too short but excellent otherwise so if you are interested in a creepy short game this could be your glass of wine; and they are having a good sale this weekend. I was disappointed in the abrupt ending and felt it came on too suddenly.
For a CE is should have been a longer game; but if I could I'd give it a 3.5 just because it was so short; I'm usually not disappointed by this developer, the game is really good, but the shortness of the game itself was a disappointment. My thought when I reached the end of the main game "is that all there is!"
Also the bonus game didn't jive with the main story as the heroine looked even younger in the bonus game than she did in the main game. Developers you should get your act together and not have a character appear even younger in the bonus game. This is really my only negative comment. As for the rest:
1--graphics are excellent though in some spots they are too dark and you cannot make out certain objects. 2--transporter map #beam me up Scotty#. 3--Voiceovers are good. 4--HOS are good though in certain scenes the objects do not gell with the time period #a pet peeve of mine# 5--puzzels are very good some hard and some easy with a couple of "super puzzles" thrown in. 6--achievements to earn. 7--collectibles, stained glass pieces and statutes 8--the usually concept art, screensavers, replayable puzzles and hos and music etc.
If you want a short running game with great graphics and really good puzzles this game is really right up your ally. It is a good fantasy game #my preference# and if you have very little time for yourself or you are a beginner and want to get your feet wet, try this game; I'm sure you'll like it.
If there wasn't a sale this weekend I may have bought this game anyway; that is how good I found it and I only did the demo! I have all of this series and I found this one to be the best of them; hopefully if they continue the series the next ones will be better yet.
Storyline; starts with war between 2 kingdoms, Prince sees Princess of kingdom they are fighting and instantly falls in love; "surrendering" his heart to her. They marry and now are King and Queen. He is suddenly taken with a strange illness turning into crystal and the Queen is off to save him with the help of his brother who can change into a crow. Before she leaves her husband gives her a ring of fire which gives her the power to control fire.
While the source of the illness is quickly revealed and is predictable, I guessed it before it was revealed I was still hooked, basically because of the quality of the game.
1--graphics are colorful and clear and colors vary from kingdom to kingdom reflecting the nature of each domain 2--HOP's vary are clear and the objects seem to fit the time frame and are not the usual junk piles 3--characters are very well drawn with the facial expressions appearing to change with emotion 4--the voiceovers fit each character that I have come across so far and are very well done 5--the puzzles are not your usual run of the mill and the difficulty varies. I played casual and had to skip a couple. 6--you have collectibles in each scene as well as achievements to earn 7--you receive a transporter map at the beginning #beam me up Scotty# 8--as mentioned you receive a fire ring with protects you from the effects of fire and gives you the ability to control fire 9--the usual stuff in the collector's editions, music, wallpaper, hop's and concept are which are listed in the gallery 10--extras contain a color connect puzzle, collectibles and achievements.
As mentioned earlier I usually wait for a sale but this game appeared to be too good to wait for one, so I was happy when I saw the sale. I'm sure a lot of you will feel the same when you try the demo. As everyone has different tastes try it before you buy I'm pretty sure the majority of you will like it. I'm betting that it is going to be one of the best games of the year!!!!!!!

Sorry guys but I found this game to be boring. I didn't even finish the demo, which I usually try to accomplish before I give any kind of review.
The visual backgrounds were done beautifully; however the cut and past heads on the characters really turned me off; especially with no expressions on their faces at all. This is keeping the British expression a stiff upper lip to extremes. The developers should have taken just as much time and care with the characters as they did with the backgrounds.
Also have Lady P. go after her niece is totally unbelieveable; I know its only a game but it would have been more believeable if she had hired an Indiana Jones type of character to go in her stead to rescue her niece. It just doesn't seem plausible to have an elderly (impression from the voice) British Lady travel all that way, repair a plane then survive a crash. Sorry it just doesn't jell for me.
That said as mentioned the background graphics were very good though in a few places too dark. It has morphing objects even in the HO's, you can play mahjong instead of the HO's; puzzles appear to be easy and other collectibles and achievements to earn.
Try the demo, it's not for me, but everyone's taste is different and there are those out there who might really enjoy this game.
I'm hooked on these romance/fantasy games and this one I'm tempted to buy without a sale. It's been a long time since I was so tempted, so it's a definite buy for me.
The graphics are wonderful and the storyline so far is interesting as well as the voiceovers of the characters. The only thing that bothers me about the storyline is that her father appears so old you would expect that it was his time to go. Every daughter wouldn't want her father to die, but would expect it if the parent was very old; to make the story more credible he should have appeared a bit younger. That said here is my list:
1--graphics are very colorful and not dark, voiceovers great as they fit the characters 2--transporter map (beam me up Scotty#, with indications for butterfly collectibles, tasks to accomplish 3--Magic frame to transform animals back to humans to get clues to continue story and some also assist you in tasks 4--magic items to find as well as portraits 5--achievements to earn 6--two characters to play as, the beast and Beatrice in order to continue the game 7--some puzzles lead to the HOS scenes, so you solve the puzzle first then do the HOS 8--if you don't want to do the HOS you can switch to match-3 9--puzzles appear to be easy in beginning, not sure if they become more difficult as you go on in the game 10--usually bonus features, music, wallpapers, concept art, guide and bonus game
When the demo ended, I still had 35 minutes left to play and I could've kicked myself as I felt it ended too soon, which is a good indication to me that it's a buy.
That said #I do have the 1st Dark Romance game) different people have different tastes and everyone should give this game a try you never know you might just feel as I did. I am hooked on these types of games and wish they made more of them.
