First I have to say, this may be my last game for awhile. Vision problems. It's getting harder to find things. Not the game's fault. I'm having to lean on hints more than ever before. They are good, very good. The Gray family surely has it's problems. Why anyone would move into that castle after all the previous chapters I don't know. But, fixing things for the latest batch is always fun. As usual the children are very bright, the parents not so much. So think like a kid. I can't tell you the most fun part. It might just spoil things for you. I'll just say that Anna's talents progress. Time to get going again. Bought, paid for, and installed. Hmmmm what happens next? Couldn't say what my current favorite is cause it's THIS ONE!
Seems to enjoy the new type puzzles, no instructions, unhelpful hints. Slow, stodgy, leaves you hoping they get eaten. If paying extra for a CE is important, don't bother. The extra chapter just doesn't work. You can't work around the sundial. You have to do everything in the order they want. I think they let interns build the game then didn't bother checking it. Waste of money. First time I've just closed out the bonus chapter as majorly irritating. Might be time to quit these games. Since puzzles with no instructions and no sense do not make for a fun game.
If you need to use the Guide or even the hints don't count on the ones with this game. Both are substandard. I don't see as well as I should so I count on hints and guide to help when my eyes refuse to see what I'm looking for. It's no fun getting old. And cataracts are the pits. I love these games. But now good help is necessary. I was hoping I wouldn't have to give up my membership. If at all possible I always buy the CE. This games guide leaves out rather large parts that is infuriating.
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you’ve been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...
I've loved the other Dark Parables, so I had to try this one. Couldn't figure out how Rapunzel could make an interesting game. After all she just sits spinning straw into gold in the original story. But, now we must save her. But, who is the dark lady? How can we save poor Rapunzel?
Deep in the heart of an enchanted forest, a forbidden love blooms. Guide the human Eveline as she sets out to rescue her beloved from the clutches of a tyrant.
First. When trying the demo you can't use the SG, so there is no way of knowing if it's good, awful, or indifferent. This ticks me off. If it turns out it isn't worth buying the CE for I will uninstall any future demos that have the same feature. No matter how good the game. So far the game is fun, a little scary, with a cute baby dragon hint keeper & helper. It plays well, hints are helpful (better be as you can't use the SG). The graphics and sound are clear and crisp. It's worth playing, if the SG is good. Sounds are not too irritating. Now, if someone could come up with a game where the father isn't an idiot. <sigh>
The HOS are a bit different, they have been of the find this, use it to find that variety. The hints are helpful. The SG is straightforward. The atmosphere is middle of the winter, snow, crunching snow, wind, absolutely perfect for playing in a heatwave ! Creepy music, winged beings, banshees, all add a dark feeling. This one is MINE, ALL MINE, MUWHAAHAA (evil laugh)
I've played all the Mystery Tracker games. I still haven't figured out how MY Agent can get anything done without Elf. He's cute, smart, & small. He finds the important stuff.
The hints, while not the go here do this variety, are helpful. The SG even more so. The graphics, sound, video are very good. I've played 32 minutes of the demo and bought it.
Mysteries are supposed to be mysterious. This one is so far.
I played all but 4 min of the demo. I really tried to like it. But, the hints weren't useful, except in HOS, and then sometimes helpful. Occasionally. When I decided to quit I couldn't find a menu button. Anywhere. I had to start Task Manager & shut the game down that way. I really can't believe BF is trying to sell this. The company that made it, I think, needs a list of things needed in a game. Like menu button. I wouldn't even take this game for free. There needs to be a minus star we can choose. This isn't even one star.
There was a little game with no instructions, you had to buy hints, with crystals you had to earn....did I say no instructions? This is an adult game, not PG, not T. The main character goes into people's minds clueless. It's not even worth getting with an expiring free game coupon. I would suggest that whoever came up with this game so see a real shrink.
Talking book, extreme heat (why don't they put out summer games in winter & vice versa?#, slightly stupid male, female in trouble #not new#. The SG is good, hints are good #as long as you keep an eye on your book). It's a little bit slow. The tools you use move slowly, as is proper in summer in the Land of the Dead. As long as you don't mind the heat or the books sense of humor, this is a great game. Guess that's all the Guide Book bribed me to say. *giggle*
