I was fully prepared to defend some of the reviews but after playing it, I was somewhat disappointed. I have loved and highly rated the others in the series but this one let me down. I only took me 2.5 hours to complete for a start. The puzzles had been used before in different guises so I cracked them quickly enough. But even so, it was still enjoyable until the end. I just couldn't believe it just ended. I won't say where or when but it just suddenly went to the menu and that was it, game over!
I would still recommend this though, but as a cheapy rather than full price.
I recommend this game!

I love the series so had to try this, but like other series spin off games, it just didn't quite do it for me. I found it just a little bit too easy.
There is a map that will tell you at any time where to go so you don't have to think about it. The hidden object scenes are graphically superb but I found every object within seconds. I never once had to think what to do next, it just lead me there. The only level of challenge came from a few of the puzzles but I would say they were particularly hard, they just took a bit of time to work out.
All in all, it's not a bad game, just lacked the brain factor!
I recommend this game!

I have loved all the redemption cemetery games and I did like this one but I thought it was a touch too easy. I completed it in just over 3 hours and didn't feel like I had really been challenged. The puzzles are similar throughout the game and do not take much in the way of thought. The HO scenes are easy to see and the objects clear but again perhaps a little too easy to see as I didn't make any false clicks (this is most unlike me!!). I will admit though I play most of my games on casual mode so perhaps this one would benefit from being played at a harder level.
The storyline is good and entertaining and the graphics and sound are superb. It is certainly worth playing though.
I recommend this game!

I love this series of games. The challenge is second to none as far as I am concerned. The fact that you seem to get 2 games for the price of one helps! In most rooms you can change the light and this will change the room and require you to find different objects and complete different puzzles to complete that room. It does mean that you really have to have a good memory or write everything down!! The only thing this game lacks is an interactive map but possibly that would take away the level of challenge it does represent??
I thoroughly recommend these games but we warned, have a pen and paper to hand!

Every review I have read says what a fantastic game this is but I have to say, I actually deleted it before I completed it. I found myself desparately trying to find something else to do other than play it, so what was the point.
Ok, so why didn't I like it? The strange thing is I can't really put my finger on a specific reason. I found the puzzles way too hard (but then maybe I'm just thick!), I just found that the instructions were confusing or just too basic. I also didn't like the fact there was no map.
I'm not a novice to games by any means, think I have now played around 500 different ones but I am sorry to say this one did not grab me at all. Sorry to be so vague as to the reasons but if you're an avid gamer like me, then you'll know, it's right or it just isn't!!
I don't recommend this game.

I have been starting to tire of hidden object games, they all seem the same nowadays. But just occasionally one comes along that renews my interest and this is that game.
A super hint of scary, the voiceovers are probably the best yet. You do need to play with the sound on as the voice of the bad guy in the background adds to the tension. The areas to cover are numerous and thankfully the map highlights areas with something to do, the only draw back is that you can't click on that place and go straight there.
The puzzles are lengthy and mostly easy by my standards, however there were a few that I found extremely difficult and satisfying to complete - 1 I couldn't do at all but only through my own inabilities, no fault of the game! The hidden object scenes were good and I never found the need to randomly click in frustration!!
All in all I thoroughly recommend this game and as I am a little late in discovering it, I sincerely hope the second one in the series is as good as this.
I recommend this game!

It's funny, I have just left a slightly negative review on another game that everyone loved and this one is one of my favourites and yet everyone else doesn't seem to agree! Why is that I wonder? I love the voice overs, I love the logic of the game. The HOS are fun with a small level of difficulty but there is certainly areas that require a little more thought.
I suppose that's it. I do get bored easily and if a game is too random and difficult, I can lose interest but this one keeps mine throughout.
If you liked the others, then you will definitely like this one.
I recommend this game!

The Grim Tales series have been good, although I still can't play The Wishes due to a bug. However I have been struggling with this game now for a few days and I just can't get into it. I can't seem to put my finger on why though. There is a level of logic that doesn't seem to gel with my brain! For instance you have to use a certain object on another and I would never have thought of putting those 2 things together. I just find it a little too obtuse, coupled with the fact there is very little in the way of sounds or voice overs, it just makes it a bit boring I guess.
I would never say don't play this game as everyone is different as you can see that from the other reviews, but for me, it just didn't deliver. On the positive side... Graphics were good!

I have to say the first 10 mins I thought, what is all the fuss about? but from then on it was superb. What a change from all the fantasy, medieval, fable games around. It had a hint of doom with the sounds of the doors, Aliens with the bug element and a lovely hint of ahhhh and the end.
The best bit for me though was the map. If ever you are stuck, just open the map and it will tell you where to go and click on the area and it takes you straight there, no fussing around.
Please can we have another one???
I recommend this game!

I like to leave my reviews until some time after release to see not only if it has stood the test of time but if I enjoyed it as much the second time around and this game... well, it is still top of my list.
The graphics are great, the hidden object scenes while frequent, are different and engaging. The story is also very good. I never feel totally stuck although it can take a little to work it out sometimes. However if you do get stuck there is always the map to help you out.
I hope other makers follow this format.
I recommend this game!
