Why is it that BF always has hot deals on the CE games that I already own, except for the current one today! Oh well. Yes, I have the first game and liked that one. This game is much better. Very nice graphics and game play. Clear, clean HOGs, items not difficult to find, but not simple either. Games not bad.
Voice overs are nice..accent is quite different from the norm. Hint system is nice and fills farily quickly. SG not as clear as most, but understandable. I like the need to find things other than in the HOGs. The morphing objects are not too hard to find, you just need to look. I didn't have to stare at the screen for a long time in order to see it, like in so many other games.
I enjoyed this game enough to buy it, but not sure I want to go for the CE. I have way too many credits to keep spending on CE games. Besides, I don't care about 98% of the bonus stuff, only the bonus play. Most of the time, it doesn't add anything to the game play or story line. Anyway, I'll think about it for a day or so.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.
Well, I don't remember the first game and since I don't have it in my "collection," I must not have cared for it. This game isn't bad, not exceptional, but not bad. Graphics were a bit fuzzy and very choppy, cartoon like movements. Game play was nice, but could have moved a little faster. Music was very annoying very quickly (this is why I turn down the music in the beginning, so I only hear it as a light background sound).
Voice overs nice, but very few and far between. Hint button not bad and fills fairly quickly. HOGs very simple and a bit messy, but easy to find items (who puts dog food and seashells in their bathroom cabinet?). Games typical, but skip button is extremely slow to fill (can't stand the "move this from this side to that side" game). There is a lot of unnecessary running back and forth for one item.
Saw what others were talking about with the rat, but you don't know that it was killed. I choose to think he got away...even though I hate rats!
This game is not challenging at all for a seasoned gamer, but would be nice for a beginner, or someone who just wants a "ho-hum" game for a change, which I do occasionally, and this is the only reason I am recommending this game. For what it is, this is not a bad game and since I have a pile of credits to get rid of, I will use one for this game.

Wow, Elephant did it again. I have the other two Hallowed Legends games and really liked them...this one does not disappoint. As usual, exceptional graphics and game play. Nice SG, which lists all of the chapters in the story (a huge plus). Very nice and helpful hint system (fairly fast recovery).
Not a lot of voice overs, but what they have is very nice. Clean, clear and easy to find HOG items. Games are not difficult, but take a little thought on some. The bird is sort of fun to use (no real explanation of who he is yet). I like the need to find extra items in a game. It makes it more interesting and not just a walk through of HOGs and games to play.
The story line is not new, but well done. I like the combination of real people and animated people and things. Nice break for a change. Didn't care for the "bad woman," too freaky and weird looking. Actually a bit over-done.
Anyway, I must have this added to my trilogy, so a definite buy for me. Just no sure yet if I want to buy the CE or wait for the SE. Haven't been too impressed with the "bonus" chapters lately. Besides, I have way too many game credits that need to be used very soon. How about some really nice SE games for awhile. I'm sure the top devs can come up with a few.

Just got to this game today, busy weekend. After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't even try the demo. However, I am one of those people who, if someone says it's good or not good, I try it and see for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I really enjoyed the game.
Graphics are nothing special and a bit fuzzy, but the game play was good, music not bad, but I always turn it down low. No difficult games and HOGs were not bad either (some items a little hard to see, but on the whole okay#. I do agree that I don't care for loud or odd noises when you find an item either, but that's one of the reasons I turn down the sound.
This game is not really challenging, but it is a little different with some different scenes #not the ususal ghosts and such) and it was fun for me. A nice game for a lazy day.

This is from one of my favorite devs. I have the first Sacra Terra and really liked that one. This one seems to have better graphics, nice and clear. Very nice game play. Simple games, but nice. HOGS are clean and not piled one on top of the other. Not an extremely challening game, but kept my interest and was enjoyable. A bit of running back and forth, but worth the trip.
Nice hint system, very helpful and fills fairly quickly. Nice voice over, but not many. Is actually a fairly quiet game, even with the music (I turn it down for background noise only. Otherwise, it gets very annoying very quickly in any game).
The only thing I really didn't care for, which is not a deal breaker, is the fact that the SG does not stay on the last page played when you exit and re-enter a game. This is a top dev, why can they not fix that? It is very frustrating and maddening to have to click through all those pages to find where you last left off. I'm happy to see that all of the chapters are listed. It gives me an idea of how long the game is, based on how long it took me to finish the demo...looks like a nice long game.
I gave this a 5 overall, even though I down graded the storyline. Nothing new here, but a very nice game.
That's the good and the not really so bad of this game. I really liked it and am going to purchase this game and another to take advantage of the special this weekend.
I really think this game will appeal to all levels of players. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.
I have other games from this dev and liked them, but this one seems a bit old school. Graphics are nice, but not as clear as they could be, choppy movements, a lot of color but very washed out, which is very tiring on the eyes and makes everything run together. Voice overs nice, but also have subtitles. Way too many cutscenes. A lot of duplication on HOGs, which are messy and have, because of the color, hard to find items. I do like this type of HOG.
Nice music and simple games. Jump map is nice. Some hand-holding between someone telling you where to go next and the map having a large glowing ball on your next location. Fairly quick recovery on hint system and very helpful.
There really isn't a lot of challenge, nor much action in this one. You just sort of amble along. This one didn't grab me from the beginning, nor did it make me want to run out and get it now.
All that being said, it was a nice game. Not sure it is CE worthy, but that's my personal thought. I'm not sure I will buy this one, simply because of the near monochrome "color." This is going in my puddle for now.

Okay, all the bugs and beetles I have seen have their trunk in the front. Where was this one built? Anyway, very nice SE for a change. Nice graphics and game play. HOGs nice and clear (a lot of hunting in and under things), simple games (take some thought). Nice voice over and music. Fairly fast hint recovery and helpful. I wish all games had maps...this one does not.
Not sure why, but I really like this game. There is nothing special about it, but I'm having fun with it. You use quite a lot of shoe leather on this one too, but it keeps you on your toes. I'm happy to see that we finally have an SE that I can use a game credit on.
Personally, I think this game would not only appeal to the beginner, but to the experienced gamer as well. It's just fun and I have the need to see where it goes with the story. Already downloaded and off to play.

Unravel the mystery of Griffin’s strange experiment in this suspenseful hidden object game and find your beloved scientist before he disappears for good!
Not a bad game, but not good either. Graphics nice, game play good, music nice. Why bother with a voice over if you are only going to use it in the beginning. No new story here, but that's okay too.
Long hint recovery. Extremely dark. Had to quit with 26 minutes of play left because I got a headache trying to see. This could have been a very nice HOG if they would have just brightened it up enough to see. It doesn't have to be difficult to be fun. Games were okay, simple. Finding the appearing/disappearing objects is a no brainer as well, so no challenge there.
I would actually liked to have purchased this game for a break, but not when it gives me a headache. Too bad... I marked down the visual/sound quality only because it was way too dark and for no other reason. I would only recommend this game to people who have superb night vision!

Find the festivalgoer abducted by the gargoyles of Notre Dame and uncover the cathedral’s dark past in this reimagining of the Victor Hugo’s classic tale.
Afternoon, fellow pond pals. I also have the first "9" game. It has been so long ago that I have forgotten it...hmmm. Anyway, this is a very nice game. Nice, clear graphics and game play. Music soft and nice. HOGs simple and clean, games take some thought but are not too difficult.
I really like the voice overs (always a plus for me). Don't see any extras to get as in other games, unless I missed them. Gladriel is fun, although "it" is referred to as a "she" with a man's voice (figure that one out). Nice SG. Didn't use the hint, so don't know about that yet. Looks to be a nice long game, but hard to tell. I ignore the achievements..the "awards" don't do anything for the game. I play at my own speed and don't care if I did something quickly or not. I'm just here to enjoy the game itself.
I would also like to know about the bonus game. Getting tired of buying CEs for another hour of play and not being overly excited about it afterward. I am downloading this game now. Yes, I bought the CE. I liked it and want to see where it is going. The gargoyles drew me in from the beginning.

Morning, fellow pond pals. Not a bad little SE for today. Graphics nothing special, but nice and clear, game play nice. Music not bad, but this game definitely needs a little more FX sound or at least a voice here and there (I did hear the "bad guy" laugh a little at one point). A lot of games (okay, but not difficult), not much in the way of HOGs (needs to be a few more to keep things interesting).
You just sort of start in the middle of something without knowing what is going on and you don't really pick up much info as you go either. The story line is a bit muddy to say the least. Hint button is okay, but you really need to be watching to see where it leads you. It takes way too long to reload.
I have the first Timeless game and liked it, but this one falls short a bit. There is a lot of running back and forth, more than needed, but as I said, it was a nice game. This is a good one for a "nothing better to do" day, and we all have those. I will use a game credit for this one, simply because I need to use it or lose it.
