This is one of my least favorite out of the new Nancy Drew games.
The biggest negative of the game: The navigation is the worst. To get around town while Nancy is "unavailable," you play as Nancy's three friends: Ned, Bess, and George. That's fine with me. The problem? When switching between characters, you can't just skip right to the next one. Oh, no. You get out the phone, call Nancy, tell her you need *her* to take over, then have Nancy call the next friend, and ask *them* to take over. So unnecessary and it kind of ruins the game for me. If these kids are all friends, why can't they just call each other to switch?
Pros: - Graphics are very nice. - Sounds are good, and voice acting is quite good. - If you're a Nancy fan, it's nice to see Nancy's hometown, although you don't get to see a lot of it.
Cons: - Awful, awful navigation. Not only between switching characters, but getting around town is pretty bad. The map is just terrible, and the game doesn't tell you that you need to drag it around to see the whole town. - You don't get to see much of River Heights. There are maybe five or six locations you get to explore to a decent extent. If you try to travel to any of the others, you just get someone telling you it's closed, or a one-liner joke. - Snooping is not great in this game. You get to go in Nancy's home, but you can't explore? You can't root around in her sofa cushions, or look in the hall closet, or under Nancy's bed? You're limited to very specific areas to look. Other Nancy games give many extra, fun places to just take a look around in. - Puzzles are too easy. Many of them practically give you the solution if you look in another area in the game.
All in all, this is just an OK game. It's not the best Nancy Drew game in it, and the navigation and switching between characters gets to be tedious, which sort of ruins some of the game's fun.
Let's get farming in this unique Hidden Object farming simulator hybrid! Harvest the perfect crop, sell it at the market and search the farm for treasures!
This game is not a hidden object adventure game, so I tried to review it for what it is. It's mostly straight hidden object scenes, although you also grow things on a farm and run the farm (feed animals, make repairs). Additionally, there are some puzzles to do.
You're given the task of winning a farmer of the year award in order to pay back a large loan. The farm is in disrepair, so you need to make money to purchase upgrades to make your farm the best it can be.
Pros: -Cute graphics, though they're not quite the best. - The story is a little corny, but in a good way. - Interesting concept, mixing hidden object scenes with a sort of farm simulator. - Music isn't obtrusive, though it's not great. - There are quests to accomplish, like finding a violin for someone in one of the H0 scenes. - Trophies! - In each H0 scene, there is a bar at the top with little mini-quests, like find three items in a row in reverse alphabetical order, or find five items listed left to right in your to-find-items list. They're completely optional (although you get extra money for them), but they add something interesting.
Cons: - Some hidden object scenes are really cluttered. Additionally, there are gems to collect in these scenes, and some are super small.
Some might consider this game "outdated," but I'm finding it very fun and relaxing.

If you liked Farm Tribe, you'll probably enjoy this one, too. It's not a time management game, but more of a worker-management game. There's no timer. You move workers around to do tasks, like repair buildings and pick fruits and vegetables. You use the foods they collect to complete recipes to sell at a farmer's market stall. You use that money to build more buildings, and continue the cycle.
Pros: - Cute graphics. - Nice tutorials/instructions. The game is really easy to pick up on. - There's a variety of things to do. - Customers arrive automatically and basically serve themselves, so you don't have to deal with that. - The game gives you a few quests at a time, so there are multiple things to work on. Plus sometimes customers give you extra tasks that are optional.
Cons: - Lots of clicking. - You must make all of the prepared foods yourself. You have to click the storage button, and then click to make the various recipes each and every time you need to make food to sell. It gets old. - The game starts to feel repetitive, as you basically do the same task over and over, just in a slightly different way.
All in all, this game can get really boring really fast, but it feels like it'd be good in small doses.

This game is fantastic, all around. It is an adventure game with hidden object scenes and puzzles. Many puzzles have multiple steps to them, or multiple pieces to find. The graphics are great. I didn't really notice the music too much. The story is a little odd, and I'm not quite sure where it's headed, but it's somewhat interesting (hard to explain, though).
I love that there are "beyond" (morphing) objects to collect as well as hummingbirds. The first hummingbird I found was a surprise. There are also achievements to get, and the game will inform you of how far along in getting certain achievements, which I like.
You have to collect pieces of artifacts as well as pieces of a calendar as you move around in the game. You don't get a map until you're a little bit into the game, but I didn't find that I needed it until then, really.
The hidden object scenes are really clear, and there are interactive bits in them. Some of the interactivity is more than just moving a screen or opening a cabinet door, which is nice.
I think the best part of this game is that there are four modes to choose from, the fourth being "custom." I love this! You can pick how fast the hint refills, how fast the skip fills, if you want sparkles in regular scenes or just hidden object scenes, etc. It's great!

This game is nice, but could be so much better.
- There are three modes of gameplay, which amount to easy, medium, and hard, with hard having timed mini-games and no help. - The story is interesting, but it bombards you with names of characters so quickly that it's hard to keep up. The game does give you a little section with bios of each person you meet, though. - The graphics are really pretty, and the music is nice and not intrusive. - The hidden object scenes have silhouettes instead of lists, but the items to find are sometimes really, really (really!) small. - My biggest problem is the game's interface. It works more like a large file adventure game, but that just doesn't work with this kind of game. You click on something, then have to click an eye to view it, or a hand to pick it up, or a dragon to play a hidden object scene or a mini-game. It feels like you're doing extra steps to do something that could take one click, really. I feel that it takes away from playing the game.
All in all, this is a nice game, but I feel like there's something missing, and the interface removes of the feeling of being immersed in the game.

This is an excellent "one up, one down" solitaire game. It plays like Fairway Solitaire or Faerie Solitaire. The further you get in the game, the more obstacles (frozen cards, for example) you come across, which adds some difficulty to the game.
-The graphics for this game are splendid, especially for a card game. - There are two different modes of gameplay to choose from, one more casual than the other. - The music is very nice and fits the theme well. - The story is somewhat interesting, and there are voiceovers for the story portions. - There are mini-games (like very short hidden object scenes) sometimes. I found them to be a nice diversion from straight card playing. - Trophies! - You can buy powerups to help you along. They seem expensive, but that gives you something to work towards.
All in all, this is one of the nicest solitaire games that has come out in a long time.

Here's my review of the demo, although I already bought the game. All in all, a great game if you enjoy time mangament games, and even if you don't, it's also sort of like a hog game, a la Gardenscapes. Your job is to clean and restock your store and fill customers' orders in a timely fashion. Pros: +The story is mildly interesting this time around, and I thought the multi-cultural aspect was kind of sweet (we'll see how it pans out later). + The graphics are nice and bright. +There are two modes of gameplay, timed and untimed! Nice addition there. (I played in timed mode, so I'm not sure how the customers will react, i.e. if they'll still pitch a fit if you deliver your items too slowly.) +There are many ways of picking up items. #1: standard pick 'em up, place 'em down. #2: drag the item to the customer #3: pick up up to four items at one time, to fulfill multiple orders. Very handy! #4: Right click on an item and it will automatically go to a customer. My favorite method is the third. It gets things done much quicker. +Another pro is the way the bonus bar works. I assume it gets harder as you go along, but I got a 53 bonus on my very first level. + I enjoy working to collect the stars needed to open new departments in the mall. (Plus then you get to work with a whole new selection of items.) So far, I don't see any cons. The music is so unobtrusive that I didn't even feel the need to turn it down.
I recommend this game!

Escape the Emerald Star is basically a straight hidden object game with some mini-games (match-3, jigsaw puzzles, mahjong) at the end of each level. The rest of the game is straight hidden object scenes with maybe one "interactive" part that usually involves moving one item to another spot in the scene.
There are a couple of awards to collect, though they aren't difficult, and also the usual "collect 50 of these items to unlock unlimited mode."
My one problem with this game is that many scenes are too dark. I guess they were going for a feeling of atmosphere, but some scenes are really dark and are also gray/dark blue, which makes it hard to see some of the items.
For those who have played lots of hidden object games, this will probably be old hat. However, I like to play nice games like this one when I'm bored and don't want a big challenge. It's still entertaining and gives me something to do.

This is a pretty good dash-style, restaurant Time Management game. You run as bar as Bob and Katy (or rather, Katy, as Bob just sort of sits there most of the time and waits for Katy to request an order).
Pros: - Cute graphics, bright and colorful -You can earn money for upgrades in two ways. One: Through making regular money at the bar to use to make the bar nicer. Two: By getting a "gold" score you get tokens to use at an antique shop for upgrades (i.e., make Katy walk faster) -Good tutorial/explanations
Cons: -Story is not great, but it's not that big of a deal. -Some customers are super impatient, even in the first few levels.
I recommend this game!

I'm glad to see a non-resource collecting/building Time Management game. I prefer the run-a-restaurant type, for some reason. The game has the standard good-gal fights bad-boss storyline, although I don't really mind, since I don't play TM games for the story, usually.
The graphics are cute, although nothing special.
The voices! They're so annoying! Luckily (and thankfully), the developers included sound sliders for voices, music, and sounds, so I turned the voices button right on down!
I like that you can hire workers at will, if you have the money. Then you can assign them to whatever task you'd like, and you can also drag them to a new station if you'd like them there instead. That's a nice feature. I also like that you can right-click on the food to send it straight to the packaging station instead of dragging it there. That feels faster to me.
There are awards to earn, but they're kind of passively earned. As you move up on the restaurant competition chart, you get awards. Some of them unlock some useful upgrades, from what I've seen so far.
You have to unlock casual mode and extreme mode, which is kind of weird. So, until you unlock casual, you have to play timed. I'm not sure what happens when you run out of time, since that hasn't happened to me yet. I never felt terribly rushed while playing, though.
All in all, there's nothing terribly special about this game, yet I still found it to be a lot of fun and worth purchasing.
