9otters gave a great description of the game so here is just a couple of personal comments, based on the completion of the game, on "normal". It's an average length game, no HO but things are found everywhere. It's a game you have to "figure out" with a bit more effort. The puzzles are unique - a little tedious at times, for me - but still, refreshing. I enjoyed the "movement" aspect very much, like you're really looking for something. I would have liked the game to be longer simply because I didn't want it to end!
I recommend this game!

I absolutely love this solitaire spider game version because of all it's little "extras". The gopher is a bit childish but the actual game play requires strategy and a little luck in order to advance in this game. After playing the SE, I bought the CE because I wanted "more" and the CE is packed with courses! Even though the game is great as it is, here is where I see the developers could have made it better: 1) award points for number of cards left, 2) award points for perfect score, 3) offer ways to earn "bucks" because the ratio of "purchase costs" is far greater than "earning ability", 4) offer the ability to record high scores for self comparison. Because of the infinite ways the cards can be dealt, the "outcomes" are just as random and infinite, so this game is meant to be played over and over and over... And, being able to see personal bests, along with my other suggestions, would make this one of the top 5 games of all time, for me, and I have played hundreds, dating back to Atari!! Lol I would buy another CE version if these changes, and/or similar features where added. Still, the game is definitely worth buying the way it is.

Mediocre means "barely adequate" and that's what this game is. For the first time ever, I purchased this game, sight unseen, on "100%" testamonials and pure faith of the other two games I own in this series: NIghtmare Cinema and The 13 Keys. Huge disappointment! It is SO linear - do this here, go there to activate, go back for something else, return to activate, and repeat - So mechanical; No thinking required and that's on expert! I will not be finishing this game as there is "no game" to it.

I have purchased over 250 games - a lot to some players, less to others - so I have a lot to compare to and, I LOVED THIS GAME! I also have to know that paying the price of two games for one has to have some really good bonuses for me to spend the extra money and this one does. I highly recommend buying the CE over the SE. Let's get my one, tiny critique out of the way first; the game-play is quite linear and I prefer to be more mentally challenged... in a good way... but it flows nicely! Ok, done. The story-line, graphics, puzzles, HO's, soundtrack, musical score are all excellent and, I listen to game music next-to-never! I felt like I was in a movie. Applause and bows to the game developers for all the extra effort they put into this game. The bonuses include being able to go back into scenes to find the missed collectibles, replay Ho's for higher achievements scores, a jigsaw puzzle, and... well, just buy the game and you'll see it's worth every penny!

I enjoyed this SE game because: - the storyline was refreshing, although the end has the typical defeat "evil" theme - the puzzles were different - although the HO's were few, the types were varied - nice graphics - there is some form of "action" thoughout the entire game via puzzles, finding objects, HO's, various scenes, match 3... and I thought the "match 3" puzzles were a nice addition of things to do.

Parts of this game were excellent and other parts lame and linear. The length was okay. The developers did provide elements of surprise but to me, it was like a rollercoaster of exciting, lame, exciting, lame. The concept was good, great graphics, moments of suspense, then hand-holding. I so appreciate all that goes into creating games but when I select "expert" I want to be challenged not babysat. I will recommend this game because of the excellent parts.

I enjoyed playing this game because you had to think at times in order to progress, while other portions were quite logical. I played on "custom" unchecking everything except the skip and hint buttons, reducing them to a minimum as I hate waiting to continue my playing; it's an interruption to my focus and fun, like a phone call or knock at the door! LOL Many HO scenes with hidden objects within them and both item lists and silhouette searches. The few puzzles games it has are very easy and quick to get through. You can collect 70 mistletoe branches for an achievement, and also puzzle pieces to complete a puzzle toward the end of the game. The storyline was refreshing in that it wasn't a typical "find the murderer or missing person" theme.
