The story begins with you being a detective to solve the case of what is happening in Smalltown, which was covered by some kind of fog that was allowing the residents to gorge themselves in the seven deadly sins.
There is a lot to do in this game. Multiple types of collectibles such as cards, paw prints, statues, chess pieces etc. There are achievements and you get points for completing hos, mini puzzles, and collecting the collectibles. There are 3 levels of difficulty that can be changed during the game. The hos are a little junky. I was also confused what time period this was supposed to take place in. The cars that were in the game seemed to modern to be there. There are your normal types of extras, with the added addition of statistics that included interaction, accuracy, hints used etc.
It wasn't a bad game and I did enjoy it. Need to try before buying though.
I recommend this game!

Having played the demo on the prior games in the series, I found that I really like this one best. The hos were not overly difficult and you have the option to switch to matching game. The mini puzzles were also well done, though some are similar to what we have had in the past, they were a lot of fun. I also liked the fact that there were morphing objects and puzzles pieces that were not overly difficult to find. There are 12 achievements that vary in relationship to the game and the regular no skipping, etc. You can change difficulty in the middle of the game and I have no idea how the strategy guide because to the point I got in the demo, I didn't need to use it. The map is interactive and the helpful imp is a cutie pie. The only real issue I had was during the hos the music that was playing in the background would suddenly stop. It really is a lovely game. The extras were all your normals, but I am interested to find out what the puzzle pieces do at the end of the game.
It continues on from the last two, and if you haven't played them, they bring you up to date with the cutscene at the beginning of the game. Lynn has met a "nice" boy who betrays her to the Witch Hunters who believe anyone who practices magic must be destroyed. It is up to you to rescue her from the fate that they have planned for her. I really enjoyed the game.
I recommend this game!

First I want to thank Big Fish Games. I just lost my husband and thanks to BFG I spent nights playing the games when I couldn't sleep.
There is so much to do in this game. There are 25 achievements both in accomplishments related to the game itself along with the normal "3 puzzles no skip" type. The hos were not overly junky and the items were not too hard to find. The puzzles were thoughtful and well done. There are also 20 morphing objects that are not all that obvious. An artifact which gains new powers as you go along is "your helper" thoughout the The music is not annoying and fits well into the background.
The story itself was fun. You and Uncle Alfred are working on a project together. A portal to other realms. When he disappears, you go through the portal to find him. You immediately meet up with someone, and are not sure if he's good or bad, just that he thinks you are a thief and that you must leave.
I recommend this game!

Redemption Cemetery: Bitter Frost is the story game of saving your ancestors from death because of Wenonah the Winter Spirit who is holding a grudge against your many great grandfather. She is going into the past so that you are never born.
There is the general extras that are in this collector's edition ie wallpapers, concept art, screen savers, movies, music, mini games and hidden objects. There is collecting of snowflakes that can be used to decorate your own snowglobe and there about 11 achievements that are related to steps you complete in the game. There are four levels of difficulty casual, advanced, hard and custom that can be changed in the middle of the game.
ERS has done a wonderful job with the art and the music. It is visually beautiful and the music fits the game and unobtrusive.
The hos have a twist at the end, by having you put the item together that you will be receiving. The mini games are fairly easy but enjoyable.
This is a must have for me as I have loved the Redemption Cemetery series since it began. This is a beautiful game to have for the day after Christmas.
I recommend this game!

Played the demo for the CE and the SE. Found that I didn't really miss the hidden symbols or the achievements. The game was crystal clear, the voice overs were very well done, the hos were a little junky, and the mini games were not overly difficult. The music was not annoying and left it on the whole demo. The map was helpful at where there were things to be done, but forgot to check if it was interactive.
The cutscene at the beginning of the game begins with a concert pianist being shot while he is onstage performing. As the game begins, the police come to the door of your new home and want to talk to your husband, as he is the main suspect. As he takes off, you learn it is up to you to find the true killer. Is it the journalist or the theatre hand, or is it some else. You help save the life of your friend, Robert who is a private detective and you arrive just in time to save the life of the sculptor. Can you find the killer in time?
The game was well done and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Try it out for yourself to find if you like it though, as some people prefer CEs (myself included) but this is a really nice little SE.
I recommend this game!

Don't get me wrong, there are incredible things to do in this game. There are 50 collectible lady bugs, all kinds of achievements, list of tasks to complete, and an encyclopedia of the plants and animals that you can find where ever it is that you have landed.
The story begins where the 1st Botanica ended, going through the portal which is hopefully taking you back to Earth. You and Ian have landed together but a blast injures and knocks out Ian and you have to find a way to wake him up. You find a lab that was set up by your father (hos). You explore the ship to find the person you saw and need to rescue him from the fire started by the volcano.
Unfortunately, I got bored and didn't finish the demo. This game had a lot going for it and you really need to try it to see if you like it.
I recommend this game!

Ever since the Spirits of Mystery series has started, I have loved the art, the music, the storyline and the fantasy of it all. This one did not disappoint. ERS has once again made a beautiful story game come alive. The voice overs were the best, the music not annoying, the creatures were adorable and the witch is back again.
The story begins with the prince shooting his silver arrow to land in the window of his destined bride. Basil, a mercenary sorcerer, appears in your room and steals the arrow to give to his client and then locks you in your castle. It is up to you and the prince to retrieve the arrow so that you can wed the following day.
There are three levels of difficulty that can be changed during the game. It has an interactive map, a lingbeast as a helper, hint button that fills rather quickly, and the strategy guide that stays where you left off. There are achievements to accomplish and pearls to collect to restore your tower. No morphing, but never has been in this series so no loss. The games are not hard, but not simple (the fountain of water that requires some strategy) and hos are a variety of find and place or find and use to get another item to use. I know a lot of you are not big on the fantasy/fairytale genre, but give it a try.
I recommend this game!

The storyline was good. You send a letter to your sister and let you know you are coming to see her. A mad weather master sends a weird blizzard, freezes your sister, and then kidnaps her. You are to go through traps and get to the castle to save her.
There are 36 achievements, butterflies to collect and ice animals to create with the magic brush. The rest of the extras are the normals. You have three levels of difficulty; casual, hard and expert.
I'm just not sure about the game. I started getting bored and I'm sure why as I usually love this particular genre of the hos games. I'm going to recommend it, but with the advice to play the demo before you decide.

The story begins with you and your husband to be decorating for the wedding. A package arrives and a poisonous toxin attacks Clarice and black veins begin showing up on her face. Tim is the only one that can save her. While you are getting his tool box from his friend Rudy at the police station, you see a bright light coming from the house. A mad scientist has taken Tim through a portal. You must rescue Tim and get him back to save Clarice.
There is a lot do to in this game. There are 164 "observers" to find (creepy eyeballs), about 23 or so achievements, cluttered hos, fairly decent mini games and a storyline that dragged me right along with it. The music was quick paced in places, urging you to hurry subconsciously. Visually is was very nice with a watercolor type scenery, making it a little fuzzy looking the whole time. There were 3 difficulty levels, casual, advanced and hard. There also was a journal and an interactive map, though the map seemed a little on the slow side and you transported. The extras in the game are your typical type. The game seemed faster paced, but everything went smoothly and quickly and once you completed an area, you pretty much completed it, except for replaying several hos in the same place. I really enjoyed this game.
I recommend this game!

The story starts out showing a pianist playing at a concert when he is shot on stage by a gun rigged in his piano. And his death is not the first. All seem to be pointing to your husband who is friends with all who have died. Robert, the private detective who is also a friend of your husband's, is wounded and a sculptor friend who you find encased in plaster but save. It's up to you to find out what is going on, why they are accusing your husband and who is the actual culprit.
There are the regular extras, but there is one called "microscope" that you can't access until you finish the game. No clue what it is. There are 22 achievements to accomplish and 25 hidden symbols that have no rhyme or reason so you really don't know what to look for. There is an interactive map, a journal, tasks to accomplish, and the strategy guide does not follow you. There are four levels of difficulty, casual, advanced, hardcore and custom.
It was a decent game, with some nice bells and whistles. The mini games are fairly straight forward and the hos are a little on the junky side. Recommend this game, but need to play to see if you will enjoy.
I recommend this game!
