Another great Surface game. I really like this series.
The story begins with Alice going to the police about her missing friends who were to her for a testing. She was late and all of her friends were drawn into a Jumanjii type game where the present is changed and they must fight for their lives. After you enter the room, you are the one that must save them.
The achievements were set up on a chess board, but you don't have any idea what they are until you win them. The hos were interesting and interactive. The mini games were not difficult but also a change of pace.
The art was very well done and the music was not annoying.
I also enjoyed finding the flowers again and the collectibles.
Definitely fun game that I will be purchasing.
I recommend this game!

Haunted Legends: The Stone Guest Collector's Edition
Someone is stealing the hearts of children – literally! Is it a brilliant inventor, seeking to cure his ailing son? Or has dark magic taken over the village...
I really enjoyed the demo of this game. I have liked all of the previous Haunted Legends and this one is definitely up to par.
The story begins with a scientist who has been trying to save the life of his son, but he is now being accused of kidnapping the orphans and using their hearts to keep his son alive. The nasty little dwarf is back and is control of the "Stone Guest", a statue that has been standing in front of the orphanage for as long as anyone can remember. Who exactly is the bad guy here, the dwarf, the scientist or is it someone else that we haven't met yet. The storyline is well done and really draw you in to find out what is going on.
The art was beautiful. The mini games were not difficult but were unusual. The hos were varied and kept the game interesting.
I would definitely recommend this game, but have one question, What is the amulet for?
Without warning, a group of mysterious figures arrives and reduces your village to flames and rubble. What do they want... and who is controlling them?
I'm not exactly sure where to start. Visually it's crisp, clear and art is fantastic. Sound was excellent and not annoying or distracting. The hos were story based and finding the items to continue on with the hos. The puzzles were not difficult but not boring. There were achievements that were game and puzzle based, morphing objects in the hos and flame symbols that were in every scene.
There are 3 levels of difficulty that are called Spark, Flame, Blaze and Custom. The Spark level, which is the one I did had a lot of hand holding, but with so much going on I used it thankfully until I got used to what was going on.
The storyline was very good and was really getting into it when the demo was over. A definite buy for me.
The story begins with the blacksmith calling up an evil power to restore his daughter's eyesight. But there is a price and the blacksmith becomes a prisoner of the dark spirit. Now it is up to you to release the people who have been taken. You team up with a red panda helper and the Huntress who is the daughter of the blacksmith.
The hos are different and interactive to receive the parts. You also have the option to play Match 3 if you so desire. The puzzles in the demo are fairly easy so far and not required to have too much thinking involved.
The extras include your usual items, but the collection of the 168 flames create a picture. There are about 28 achievements involved and they are a nice balance of being game related and story related. You have three options of difficulty which are Casual, Advanced and Hardcore. There is also you regular Bonus Chapter but also a Hidden Chapter. All in all I enjoyed the game.

I liked the actual little mini games between the M3 boards, and the M3 boards weren't bad but there was a lot wrong.
Having sampled and purchased some of the M3, the characters were too cartoonish, there was no actual talking (which might have been a good thing), the storyline has been done in other M3, there was not option to play untimed, and the music/sounds were like nails on a chalkboard to me.
As a journalist you are seeking the story behind the Weeping Woman. On your first night there, the daughter of the innkeeper where you are stolen is taken by the ghost of the Weeping Woman. The festival that is taking place is suppose to appease the ghost, but it isn't doing the job as children are disappearing once again. It is your job to find out what has happened to the children and to help them.
There is so much to do and so much to see. There are hidden golden skulls to find, morphing flowers for the flower garden and achievements that include specific goals in the game. There are four levels of difficulty and I played the demo on casual. The fourth level is the custom level so you can decide how you want to play.
The colors are bright and festive and the art is well done. The music can get a little annoying, but overall fits with the game.
The hos are not difficult and interactive with micro games to open a number of the hidden items in the hos. The mini games are not difficult and are varied i.e. lining up cards by color and content. The map is also interactive and can transfer you to the place you want to go. In your notebook, as you complete the goals they have set up, they are marked off so you can go back and see what still needs to be done.

Your daughter Alice can open portals using any mirror. Her powers are much stronger than you and your husband's. She unfortunately has opened the wrong portal and a monster has kidnapped her. You must enter different portals to receive crystals to defeat the evil that has kidnapped Alice.
Visually it is beautiful but not as crisp and clear as other recently. The sound effects and music are game appropriate and not overly annoying.
There are four levels of difficulty which includes the custom setting. There are achievements, collectibles, the normal extras.
All of the hos have some form of interaction, the hint button tells you that you need to look someplace else and the mini games are appropriate for where the are located.
I enjoyed the storyline and will purchase as soon as I get the chance.
I recommend this game!

Ominous Objects: Family Portrait Collector's Edition
A father returns home to find his children missing - all but one, who refuses to say a word...
You have arrived home from being gone for several months to the new castle that you have purchased. There is mayhem afoot when you get there and find that 3 of your children are missing and there is evil actively trying to prevent you from getting to the bottom of the issue.
There are 3 levels of difficulty, casual, advanced and hard. It has a number of achievements, but are focused more on the advanced and hard rather than casual. You have a helper in Mr. Jenkins, the cat, who is able to climb and claw when you need assistance. You also collect gold coins to furnish his room. The mini games are not difficult, but entertaining and the mini games are pretty much all interactive and require multiple steps. The art work is beautiful and the music is not annoying.
It has an interactive map and the hint button can transport you to where you need to be. All in all it was a great game and I actually finished the demo with 2 minutes to spare.
I liked the different types of games in this Match 3. Besides the Match 3, you had hidden objects (a little difficult to find) and solitaire. It was very cartoonish, but it was cute. It was not difficult yet had some interesting and different twists (getting the keys to the other side of the board) and barrels that needed to be destroyed. Overall, it was a little slow but enjoyable.

I normally love match 3 games. In fact I look forward to see what new stories they come up with. This one was not so good. The storyline was great in regards to Aztec history and about the artifacts, unfortunately, I just could not get into the game itself. I asked for no timer, but still was being timed to whether or not I got stars. Depending on difficulty (4 levels), depends on how many stars you got I guess. Dropping colored rocks on colored rocks reminded me too much of the marble popper type games, not so much a Match 3. Anyway, I got bored fairly quickly but played all of demo. Seriously need to try before you decide.
