I own all the other games in the Grim Facade series and have enjoyed them all (except for their annoying musical sound effects every time a pop up opens or closes or every time you click on something), however this latest in the series was disappointing to me. I don't even know if I can say exactly why it's disappointing but it just didn't keep my interest like the others. It didn't make me want to continue through the game to see what happens next etc etc. It seemed rushed to me. Like the devs rushed through everything to get it done and out there. Anyway, I finished the demo but will not be buying. And for me to NOT buy a CE is almost unheard of ;o) lol. I'm not going to say I don't recommend this game because I think you guys should try it and judge for yourselves. Everyone has different tastes. Happy gaming fellow fishies ;o)

I own the Alaska game of this series and really love it. This next one in the series is even better. I love the fact that there is a relaxed mode without timer and the graphics are very nicely done and clear. I like the added bonus of building a little town and upgrading the houses in it even tho there aren't a great deal of them or very much detail in what you can buy but it's still an incentive and is a nice extra at the end of each level. There are some improvements made in this one since the previous Alaska game which are much appreciated; for example, for places like the fishermans tent and gold diggings you don't have to continually click on them to get the resource, you can stick a worker there and he'll stay there until it's depleted. The previous Alaska you could not do that so that improvement is great. All in all, it's a very enjoyable game, cute characters, nice clear graphics and a little town to improve. Any game with a relaxed mode I usually instantly buy. So thank you devs!. I hope to see many more Rush for Gold games in this series. One of my top favorites definitely!

While the graphics were fairly decent and the storyline not too bad, this has got to be the barest bones of a game I have played in years. A VERY short intro with no voiceovers (no voiceovers anywhere in the game during the 25 minutes of demo I could force myself to get thru)... No interactive map (which means a no buy for me) in fact, no map at all....No journal...You get a menu button to get to options & exit and a hint button which is directional. There is absolutely nothing else in this game at all. It is very rare that I don't finish a demo of a game but 25 minutes was all I could manage. I guess it might be ok for a very new beginner of HOPA's but anyone else I think will be disappointed. That is only my opinion of course so I always recommend trying for yourself because everyone has different tastes but this one is definitely not a game that I like and certainly won't purchase. I'm not going to waste one of my free game coupons on it either. It had potential and could have been a really good game I think, but it seems that the devs were very lazy on details.

I agree with "grandmagin" . Relaxed mode please. Some people love these games but don't like the stress and hurry of being timed. The option should at least be there to choose from. Would have purchased it if it had been.

This has got to be the best opening cutscene in a game that i've ever seen. It right away sends that horror movie chill down your spine and pulls you in. The rest of the game doesn't disappoint either. Slight Spoiler Alert: The ending will leave you hanging and waiting for the next one which was also one of the best endings of a game i've ever seen. Well done devs!! Phenomenal!

I loved this game. The main things i loved about it were the game mechanics and gameplay. There were no annoying music diddlies every time you clicked on something in a HOS or anywhere else in the game. It was a nice simple click sound. I hate feeling like I'm playing a musical orchestra every time I click on an item in a game. The game was a little short but the bonus chapter was a decent length so it made up for it in my opinion. The graphics were crisp and enjoyable to look at. Very beautiful scenes. And another very important thing for me.... it had a jump map that let you know where something needed to be done right away. Lots of collectibles to find and achievements. A great game. Instant buy for me.

While all the Dark Parable series are very well done and absolutely stunning in color and artwork; graphics etc., the FROGs get a little tiresome after a while. I know that it's a standard feature in this series and are known for their elaborate FROGs but it would be nice to mix them up a bit. Also one of the major reasons why I will not buy this game is due to the lack of a helpful map. Yes it shows you where you are and where an objective might be hiding but this game is way too involved for the map to NOT be a jump map. There is nothing I hate more than going through endless scenes trying to get to where I need to go. If a map does not take you where you need to go straight away then it is pointless. After 2 or 3 scenes of traveling I keep having to check the map to see if i'm going in the right direction or made the right turn. It's wholly frustrating and was my deal breaker with this game.

Thank you "codester9" for your review. We think alike as far as our love for animals and this game having way too many violent ways of doing away with them. The horrible cries of pain that follows these kills makes it even worse to bear. It was way too much for me to handle. I am very tender hearted when it comes to things of that sort. The game is very dark. The graphics are nice but the darkness seems to be more prevalent and sometimes washes the graphics out completely. I always like a jump map so that was appreciated. But overall, this one is not for me. Of course I recommend playing the demo to decide for yourselves since everyone has different tastes.

I am a huge fan of the Adelantado Trilogy and was so excited to see Book 3 finally released. I love these games. They are so much fun and each one has gotten better. I think the addition of dinosaurs in this one was one of my favorite parts. I now own all three books in this series and wish they didn't stop at a Trilogy. I would very much like to see a continuation of Adelantado's adventures. Happy Gaming!

Really, really enjoyed/enjoying this game. I love the fact that it gives you the option of relaxed mode!. And building the empire was fun. There is a very basic & limited storyline but it didn't really matter to me because the gameplay itself is enough to keep me wanting to play. I have to say that the artistry and talent involved on the devs part is amazing. Lots of color and detail galore!. I also liked having "events" pop up every now and then to break things up a bit. Lots of trophies to work for and I tell you they are not all easy to achieve. For me anyway. Also liked that the game doesn't really end. You can still work towards getting your trophies even after the empire is built. The only thing I'm completely stumped on is how the heck do you unlock the "secret mission"? Still trying to figure that one out. All in all a definite buy for me and a game that continues to be fun and challenging indefinitely it seems. Happy gaming my fellow fishies :o)
