It starts out a little slow but soon becomes fun. Just give it a chance, you'll end up loving it. And the graphics are great. The standard edition is bare bones, just the game, no achievements or bonuses of any kind so I would recommend getting the Collectors Edition if you are one who likes achievements to work towards and bonus levels. This game has a whopping 100 levels which is awesome so add the bonus levels to that and you have alot of game for your money or game credit.

According to the other reviews most people have been pretty harsh on this game but overall I like it quite a bit EXCEPT...if you devs are going to make another one of these games PLEASE get rid of those henchman that go around grabbing your stuff! They are really just a huge annoyance and end up getting really frustrating as the levels go on. Also the sound effect of the characters EVERY SINGLE TIME you click on something for them to do has got to go as well. I don't want to hear them say "OKAY" every time i click on their task. At least give an option in settings to be able to turn that specific thing off without having to turn off the other sound effects in the game. Other than those couple of things I enjoyed the game. If those problems were taken care of in any future games to follow I would most definitely give them a 5 stars. Until then 3 or 4 is the best you're going to get. ; )

How many times do we have to play games with potions, elves, wizards and portals? I am so tired of these storylines and "same old same old". And again we have a helper which is just as annoying as all the other helpers in other games. (Excepting Elf from Mystery Trackers of course) The game itself is a good play as far as game mechanics and the graphics are lovely but I am just very weary of wizards, potions, and portals. Would be nice to have a HOPA geared more towards real life storylines and murder mysteries than these fantasy potions & portals. (oh and artifacts, very tired of artifact storylines as well).
In this ghostly continuation of the Fear for Sale series, you've discovered a luxury ocean liner bears an eerie resemblance to a ship that vanished years ago.

I love this series and this new addition to it is just as good as the others. And thank the heavens they haven't added a "helper" to this series. The only "helper" I can stand is the Mystery Trackers "Elf".....he was the first one to come out and the only one that isn't annoying and slow. All the other games that have come out with helpers are so agonizingly slow and take up so much gameplay that it makes it an instant turn off to the whole game..........so THANK YOU Fear for Sale devs for not going that route :)
The graphics are wonderfully crisp, clean, and clear and game mechanics are not too annoying as far as musical diddlies when you click on items.
The map is ok, not the greatest I've seen but at least it tells you where you need to do a task and is a jump map...that makes me happy as well :)
I love the ghost ship storyline and at the end of the demo it made me wanting to see it through.
So as far as I can tell of the demo, thank you for another wonderful addition to Fear for Sale :)

I loved the first Hero of the Kingdom game and thought there was never to be a second since its been years but finally here it is!! The graphics are much improved since the first game and the overall game play is basically the same (which is a good thing in this case) so this sequel is very enjoyable. Will definitely be a purchase for me :)

Why do devs have to go and change a fabulous series? The House of 1000 Doors has always been my favorite series...mainly because of the game mechanics. There was never any annoying musical sound effects when clicking on something, and the map was always the PERFECT map..................BUT now however, there is nothing left of the wonderful series other than the characters are ALMOST the same.
The game mechanics are VERY big and clunky and they even changed the map for the worse to something WAY LESS than the original maps of the previous games. NOT HAPPY about that at all.
I am so disappointed in this game. I was so excited to see another game come out in this series that i instantly purchased it due to all the others being fabulous......well, that was a big mistake. Like I said, nothing much left of the good features and game mechanics that were in the previous games.
Lets just say that if i could return this game to get my money back, I would. Come on devs, please stop changing things for the worse.

Normally I'm not one to mind a basic game....alot of times i actually enjoy having one to play because i like relaxed mode games alot........ .Well this game is just plain awful....I hate to say it but it is. The game mechanics are terrible because its like something out of the old school games from 10 years ago. The customers lose patience at an alarming rate even in the very first level. The little "helper" you receive after a few levels is NOT a helper at all....he is so slow that I could have done the tasks faster myself...not to mention you have to hold his hand with everything as it is and still click on everything just the same before he will do it. Nothing flowed with this game and I cant really recommend it but everyone is different however so please try the demo for yourself just in case....but I have a feeling not many will enjoy this one...... Sorry Big Fish, but not one of your best :(

This is probably one of the best Match 3's i've played as far as the features and gameplay it has to offer....BUT the fact that it has the not so wonderful feature of limited moves makes this a no buy for me. There isn't even an option to choose whether you play with limited moves or not....it is that or nothing. First of all, I am not a fan of games that stress you out with timers and don't have an option for Relaxed Mode. I will never buy a game without relaxed mode and this is just as bad. The limited moves is just another thing that does not make a game fun for me. That being said, im sure there are lots of people who will enjoy that but I am not one of them. Very disappointing as I think the rest of this game is superb.

Finally devs are getting the message that some people love these types of games but dont always want to stress out with a timer....this is relax time for me, not stress out time......so thank you very much for the choice.....a joy of a game...buying it right away :)

28 levels? are you kidding me? When other games of this type are usually 40 levels which is still too short in my opinion...i think they should be at least 50 or 60 levels...but 28 levels? Come on, thats a bit ridiculous when you can finish half the game in the 20 min demo time. Certainly not worth spending money on.
