i don't know how good the history is but i don''t care, the story is very good as is the good mystery! the artistry is good and i only had to resort to hints twice. i did have to go back to the walk through once when i got so thoroughly lost i just had to! i have to admit to skipping on mini game that just would not let me solve it though i knew where everything should go. i loved the art work. yes, folks, i REALLY liked this game!!!
ok, i'm no expert but i had to use a lot of hints because some of these were too well blended in as to be invisible. the mini games i found easy once i figured out the rules that were sometimes fuzzy.
i really like this game! it is one i will probably play many times more. did i have to use the walk through? yes. when i knew i had missed something important. for the most part, i felt it was rather straight forward. with a built-in map, it was easy to see where i had areas to complete. some of the mini games caused me problems and slowed me down...a lot! one of them i just skipped while i still had hair. the visuals are really good but don't let that fool you, some objects are easy but some are really challenging! i liked the story line and trying to keep up with 3 characters working independently.
I recommend this game!

Dream Chronicles 2: The Eternal Maze
Faye returns to more enchanting realms in this mesmerizing, much-anticipated sequel to Dream Chronicles ™.
at this point, i think i am somewhere between a beginner and intermediate. (i also think that some people who mark themselves as intermediates are either experts or somewhere in-between.) when i played the 60 min trial, i thought i had found just the right game for my level. i even thought i might have to upgrade myself to intermediate level.
WRONG!
if you are one that gets lost and does not know where to go next or needs to know where to back up to, to get back on track or needs a help button, this is not the game for you yet.
many reviews (yes, i read them after...dumb girl) said the game was too short. after a day and a half of it, i disagree with them! short to me would be half a day or an evening.
the graphics are beautiful but some of the hidden objects are too, way too tiny. during the game were there is text you need to read, expect to squint as that is also small.
i did not like the music or that area would have gotten 5 stars.
when you are on a roll, this is great fun! when you are stuck and need to start over or spend so much time trying to figure out what you are required to do, it can be extremely frustrating!
'level of challenge' ...i want to give it 1 start of none, to indicate that it is TOO hard. maybe here we need a 6th star to indicate it is way overt my skill level.
i wish games came with a CBIA code that would indicate the level of challenge the game is geared to....children, beginners, intermediates, experts.
i do not hate or dislike this game and i think it is better than ok but...
would i recommend this game...yes and no. yes, because if it had a walk through or the experience lever, it would really fun and challenging... no, if inexperienced/beginner level
lesson learned: until i am further alone in my learning curve, NO MORE GAMES WITHOUT WALKTHROUGH!!!
the initial story line is good but once i got past it, i was suddenly in the game. no instructions. no option of what level i wanted to play. the hidden object part seemed to be set up to make the player fail. objects are too small. the hint is so small that you might miss it the first time you have to use it. a black crow on the dark background is a hit and miss. i.e., if you happen to just click on it by accident, you will miss it. if the game thinks you are clicking around is blanks you out for a bit. but there are several times when i knew i was on the object and had to click on it about 3 times all over it before the item would disappear. one object i clicked on 4 times and finally thought it was a red herring. when half were gone and i still was missing the rest, i went to hints only to have the program highlight the one i had clicked all over.
i am a casual player...there was no option for it. there was no tutorial. this game is not on my buy list.
the art work is beautiful! things you have to find are well well hidden but bug enough where you can see with without eye strain. if you have to resort to a hint, you really feel silly that you missed it. that map was great for letting you know when you still have work to do in any one area. any time the music is not an irritant, is good...this filled the bill. there was only one mini game i had to resort get help for because i could not figure out what i was supposed to do. other than that one, they were interesting even when i had to rework them several times to solve. i liked the parables and the extra parable
I recommend this game!

i have a mac book pro, it loaded fine, music good but it would not allow me to play the game. i could put together pieces if they did not need any kind of rotation.. i don't think the instructions are very good either.
i really enjoyed this game. the find part was challenging but those mini games were really hard! this is not to say the find challenges were easy! some things were REALLy well hidden! on the objects i could not find and had to get a hint on were well done...sort of the slap yourself on the the forehead for not seeing it! deeply challenging and deeply full of fun!
in all it's different incarnations. they will play for hours and hours...this is a good one because getting to the end takes lots of learning and playing! any regular solitaire player will enjoy the different games and backgrounds! o, the story...sorry but i didn't pay attention...i just wanted to play!
