The summary of the game calls this game a 'thrilling Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure Game', but it was more of a Match 3 than a HOG or Adventure Game, nor was it exactly 'thrilling'. It was different in that it combined aspects of HOS with Match 3, but I found the HOS to be a little incomprehensible - there were some objects more hidden than others and it was sometimes difficult to find the object that would assist you in uncovering these. The Match 3 puzzles were pretty straight forward, but one thing I did find annoying was that when you are playing on 'timed' mode, as I was, if you take too long pondering a move a hint would be flashed at you. I prefer to ask for my hints, not have them given to me, when I'm just pondering which move to make next. The music was pleasant and not overly intrusive, with a mixture of classical type music, and light jazz. There was a 'whodunnit' aspect to the game also, and different objects and clues were given after each set of M3 and HOS. This wasn't a bad game, but not worth a credit from my point of view. Maybe I'll purchase it when it comes as a DD, as it could be good for a change once in a while.
I don't recommend this game.

I expected more from this game actually. I like Fugazo games usually, so when I saw it was from them, I had high hopes. I needed only 1 more punch for my card before the end of the month, and was hoping that this would be the game to get it, but I really decided that it wasn't worth a credit. I found the HOS to be too simple, and the gameplay was quite formulaic. The puzzles were mid-range difficulty. The graphics were "okay" but not fantastic. One plus about this game was the interactive map, as there was a bit of going back and forth, but even then it didn't just take you where you clicked you then had to click another screen confirming your choice - which I found to be rather redundant. I would possibly purchase this game as a Daily Deal, but to my mind it's not worth full price.
I don't recommend this game.

I really expected more from this game. I love Pride and Prejudice, but this was very disappointing. There was a lot of dialogue and reading to be done. There were diary pages and seals to find - the seals adding extra hints, but they weren't easy to find. I found myself using the hints a great deal, but they weren't very helpful. It was a matter of guessing what needed to be done, and randomly clicking to try to find what to do next. I didn't like the cartoon-like graphics in the cut scenes, although the other scenes were quite well done. This is not a game that I will be bothering to purchase - it's essentially a HOG with a few extras that really isn't very much fun.
I don't recommend this game.

Wow, a great game! The storyline is great, and the graphics are wonderful. The great thing about this game is that you can set it to custom difficulty - there is a casual or a difficult setting, but then you can make your own custom settings, to change how fast the hint recharges, the skip charges and also how much of a glint there is on areas of interest. Another great thing about this game is a new style of HOS - instead of the usual find an object, or move something to find a 'yellow' listing, this game needs you to find objects which then are put aside, and you need to use these objects to then enable you to find other objects. I found the HOS to be very challenging which was a nice change - I admit I had to use the hint a few times, and I was on the casual setting so the hint didn't take too long to recharge. I also found the puzzles to be quite challenging also, and the skip button charged quite fast (I skipped the puzzles as I wanted to have a good trial without running out of time) As with most CE games there is a set point for the demo to end, but I only had 2 minutes left of my 60 minutes, so I'm glad I did skip those puzzles! I will definitely be purchasing this one as soon as the SE comes out.
I recommend this game!

I had trouble playing this game when it came out as a CE so I was so glad when it came out as a SE. I have only played 20 minutes of it, and I already know I want to purchase it. It has wonderful graphics, a great storyline, and plenty of challenge. There are 2 levels of play, regular - with sparkles, hints and skip recharge faster, or expert - no sparkles, longer hint and skip recharge. I played on regular, as I prefer a little bit of help with my searching. The HOS were challenging without being impossible. There are 2 extra searches to do throughout the game - finding playing cards, and finding photos. This really adds to the gameplay. There is a fair bit of going back and forth, and although you have a map, it isn't interactive. The puzzles were interesting, and not overly difficult, which I like, as I don't like games with impossible puzzles, as they tend to take away from the flow of the game. I'm looking forward to continuing with this game, and I recommend it to all HOG/Adventure/Puzzle enthusiasts!
I recommend this game!

This will be a definite purchase for me as soon as the SE comes out. This game has just the right mix of HOS, puzzles and adventure, with a great storyline. The atmosphere is dark without being too creepy, and the music and sound effects aren't too loud or annoying. The graphics are wonderful with a mix of live action and computer graphics, which brings a reality to the game that other games lack. I am looking forward to the SE coming out, because even though I enjoyed the game, I am not one to spend the extra money on a CE.
I recommend this game!

I was hoping for something really good from this game. The premise seemed interesting, and I was hoping for a fun whodunnit, but it was completely lacklustre. I played on the 'Casual' level, but the 'Expert' level seems to only have the difference of hint and skip buttons taking longer to charge - although I didn't test this. The HOGs were simple and there were way too many of them. Things aren't listed as something you might look for - ie paprika is a pepper, and vicious lion was a soft toy. A lot of the items on the lists were in yellow, and in most other HOGs, this usually indicates that there is more involved in finding that item - but that wasn't so in this game, they were just as obvious as the other items, and there was no real explanation as to why they were coloured. Evidence found for the murder would be clicked on then taken off to the lab, and an analysis given right away. It would've been so much more fun if there was some way of doing the analysis yourself, instead of being handed the result. The majority of the puzzles were very simple. I found the sound effect as you picked up an item in a HOG very annoying, but it is possible to turn them off. There is a lot of dialogue. All in all, I found this game to be quite boring, and I could only manage 25 mins of it, before I gave up entirely.
I don't recommend this game.

This game could've been good - a HOG combined with a cooking game, but I found the HOS to just be too difficult, which took away from the enjoyment of the game. Hints cost $20 and I found that I'd pretty much eaten through my budget with just the first scene. I enjoy HOGs, but not when they're so difficult that you go cross-eyed trying to find the objects. Not on my purchase list, even with the Daily Deal!
I don't recommend this game.

I love the Build-a-Lot games, and have all of them, so when this one came along, I was very pleased. I found the storyline to be something different, but what I played in the demo was a little too simple and I found it a little boring. Again you have tasks to perform, build a certain number of houses, build a forge (factory) to get cheaper materials, but there just wasn't the level of challenge I was hoping for, even when I skipped the tutorial levels. I would probably wait for this one to come as a Daily Deal - I'm not sure it's worth full price for me.
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game. Unlike many CE demos, it was the full 60 minutes, which is enough to give you a good taste for the gameplay and storyline. I enjoyed the story and the graphics were well done. The background music became a little monotonous, and I disliked the sounds when picking up anything in a HOS, so I would definitely turn them either off or down very low. I played the Casual level, and there is an Expert level for hardcore players. There was no click penalty in the HOS, and I found some HOS harder than others, necessitating the use of the hint, which was quite slow to recharge. Some of the puzzles were fairly simple, but some were more complicated with little useful explanation as to how to complete them. As an added extra there are 55 masks to be found throughout the game, and there is a helpful green mask beside your journal to tell you that there is one in a scene - this then disappears when you click on the mask in that scene. I won't be purchasing the CE, but will probably purchase the SE when it comes out.
I recommend this game!
