wow - very "mickey mouse" game play. Like it was dug up out of the archives. Very "old style" hidden object game. No voice overs, no options. The background music repetitive, but very unobtrusive.
I did end up getting this game - used up a PCC for it only because I had so many that I had to toss because they had expired (because nothing was available) - so figured this was an okay game to while away a bit of time during the day without getting stressed out.
so, I bought this game today - was a good sale. Not the greatest game, however, I was desperate for a new HOPA CE game.
I'm enjoying it - I do find the collectibles a bit hard to locate, but that's okay - I always take my time looking for them first before carrying on with each new scene. Yes, many of the HOP scenes are quite creative and fun. Graphics, voice-overs, etc. all are excellent.
It's been a good way to while away a Saturday afternoon.
I have been quite enjoying this game. I love when there's lots of collectibles to find. Mostly, I skip the puzzles, however, some of these I did because they were not overly difficult or complicated. Not finished the main game yet - graphics, music, etc. are excellent. Like the jump map & that I can click on it to see if there's any collectibles I've missed.
Pleasant game for me - quite relaxing, actually, for me. I play to relax and enjoy - I don't want to be "stressed" when playing HOPA games (which are my favorite).
so, I'm only part way through this game. So, it's an OK game, story line is pretty good - playing it because I'm tired of re-playing all my previous games - there's not been much so far in HOPA CE games.
Anyhow - it is an OK game and it's passing away a Saturday afternoon. Only 2 complaints about this game. The collectibles are super hard to find - and sometimes even with using the SG guide, I can't find them. Hopefully when I reach the end of the game, will have the opportunity to go back and find what I've missed.
2nd complaint - I really hate when games use a flashlight to get around - be they in main scenes or in the HOP scenes. This game seems to use the flashlight a LOT !! I find it very hard to get through those scenes. But that's just me.
I am no where near finished this game, but I don't mind it. It's not a difficult game, but as one other reviewer said - it's passing the time on a really cold & windy winter day. I do like that there are "extras" to find in the scenes. some of the scenes are a bit dark, so find it a bit hard to see them. I do love HOPA games, and only got 1 new one this past week (sob, sob !) I am getting tired of having to keep replaying games in my library of games.
I will enjoy this one and hope there is a really good one coming out this weekend.
so, I'm almost done the main game. Actually, not really sure if this is a game I would replay. I really enjoyed the other ones in the series - but this one I'm not so sure. I enjoy the fact that the HOP scenes are really interactive - have no problem finding the "collectibles" - but so far, at almost the end of the main game, I've only found 3 morphing items in the hop scenes. Haven't checked to see if I can go back and find them, and there is nothing that I could find in the SG to show where they would be located. hopefully will have that opportunity. Otherwise, not a bad game.
wow - love this game. been playing off and on all day - not yet finished the main game - everything about it is so wonderful, bright, colorful, cheerful - yeah - King Cole is a bit of a downer, but there has to be at least 1 villain in a game !!
wow - I tried this game for about 15 minutes - had to quit. Far to hectic for me. Yes, the colors were bright & cheerful, however, as a couple of others said, the mix-up of the items every 10 seconds was very hard to deal with. I kept feeling like I was rushed to find things. That's not why I play HO or HOPA games. I like to relax and enjoy.
Some people may enjoy the frenzy of this game, but alas, not for me. I would perhaps have liked it more if it weren't for the constant movement of the items every 10 seconds.
When Hector, Demon Hunter for hire, agreed to save a lost tourist from the haunted Museum of Mysticism and Monstrosity, he never imagined that he could be the one in need of saving.
I have not minded the game - it's okay. The only things I am having a problem with are finding the scrolls (they morph very slowly) and all the scenes I find are very dark - which makes it difficult for older eyes to find things. The other thing, actually, that I have a problem with is that I've noticed in some scenes, the cursor is "blanked" out for a bit, forcing one to have to listen to the entire talking before being able to "click to continue". I do find that annoying.
some people may quite enjoy the game, but I am just finding it somewhat hard to get through.
I have finished the game and quite enjoyed it. graphics, etc. were great. The only thing I had a hard time finding were the collectible "eyes"- found I had to keep referring to the SG (collectibles) - sometimes "older" eyes can be a hindrance LOL - even with contact lenses & reading glasses !! Otherwise, liked the game.
