I didn't think this game was as well developed compared to many other games these days. It was alright to play and had a good storyline but I just didn't care much for the mechanics of the game nor the graphics. HOS even seemed ordinary so this one is a no for me.
I like this witches' legacy continued series the best. It has everything that you expect to see in a CE. You collect puzzle pieces, morphing objects and there is enough adventure with beautiful graphics along the way. The background music is just right and not annoying. Again, you have a cute little imp that helps you and there's also a cute little witch doll that guides you as well. The developers have definitely improved on this series of which I have the previous ones and I'm not disappointed in this one. Good storyline and I always appreciate the choice between doing the HOS and the matching cards game. The mini games aren't too difficult but fun to play. This will definitely be a buy for me.
You came to the town of Brownville, Louisiana hoping to find a new job. But you weren't expecting to stumble upon a strange adventure in a world filled with beauty and danger!
It may not be an outstanding game but I did like that it was different from the typical themes where you go into a "game world of cards". You use cards to do things like freeze the river of lava so you can cross over with the ice card. You can earn the usual achievements and collect puzzle pieces along the way. Graphics are very nice with attention to detail and the mini games are fairly easy. HOS aren't exactly the best but ok. Overall, a good game to play if you want something out of the ordinary.
This game was beautifully drawn and has good background music and effects but I have to agree with others that say there was nothing outstanding about it. The HOS's were clear and the mini games seemed pretty easy. Even though you do collect dragonflies and earn some achievements I'm not so sure it is worth the CE price. Definitely not a bad game to play though and I would probably wait for the SE to come out.
You’re on a train in the middle of nowhere, and a band of dangerous thieves demand you tell them where to find the Hope Diamond’s shards. As the newest Hidden Expedition recruit, you’ve got to find the shards before they do…
I wasn't sure if there would be any more Hidden Expeditions but I'm so glad to see one is finally here! I do like how the developers have joined with the Smithsonian Institute so the game is not only fun to play but so much to learn. Overall this was a very well developed game with plenty of things to do to keep you not only busy but interested as well. Graphics are great, music and sound effects go very well with everything. There are achievements to earn, cards to collect along with sun symbols to collect. The mini games seem fairly easy and the HOS are not done in a way that is extraordinary but they are good. Most definitely worthy of the CE price and I will be adding this one to my longtime collection of Hidden Expeditions!
Botanica series is good and well developed but they are all so similar that you really don't find too much that's new when you play them. The graphics are beautiful to look at and the mini games are good along with the HOS. I was hoping that there would be some things that were new and different about this one. You collect ladybug emblems and earn some achievements which help to make this CE worthy but I'm not sure that this will be enough to pay the price. Nevertheless, I do recommend this game as it is fun to play.
The mystical Silver Arrow has been stolen from you on the eve of your wedding. Without it, you can’t marry your beloved Prince Philip! Can you track down the arrow in time?
As always, this series, Spirits of Mystyery is very well developed but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more to it. Although the graphics, sounds effects and HOS were all good, the overall game time just wasn't that exciting. You get to collect pearls with which you are able to "fix up" your tower and you collect a furry friend who interprets what the animals and insects want to say to you. You also earn a few achievements but mostly for not using hints in HOS or skipping puzzles. Not so sure this will be worth the CE price for me but definitely not a bad game.
Even though this isn't my favorite type of storyline, I have to respect the fact that the graphics, music and VO's are always beautifully done. It's a very good game to play with an interesting storyline, the mini games are pretty easy but good and you collect cards and earn some achievements. I like that in the achievements, there's a challenge to finish each chapter in a certain amount of time. It's always good to be challenged! Overall, it is nice to have a "novel" type of game once in a while for change of pace.
Oh my gosh!!! What a great surprise to wake up to today! Thank you so much BF for bringing back the true MCF classic! I had to buy it right away without even playing the demo. Now just from the little time I have played so far, everything looks absolutely astounding! I was so excited to write my review so I stopped playing a short while after getting into this game which was hard to get out of since I wanted to just stay with it. The graphics are wonderful which is no surprise coming from Elephant games along with BF and the music and sound effects are fantastic as well. So far, the mini games aren't that difficult but some new and different and you get to collect morphing bobble heads which are the "old" characters from Madame Fate which was my favorite game of all of the MCF's. There are a lot of achievements to earn and I haven't yet collected all of the cards to play solitaire but I look forward to that. There are quite a few different modes to choose to play. Well, in case you can't tell how excited I am, I've just got to get back to this awesome game!
You thought this would be just like any other investigation. But now you find yourself lost in a mysterious mansion brimming with strange creatures, comatose colleagues, and mysterious tentacles around every corner…
I love games by ERS! They always develop the greatest games. I have all of the Haunted Halls series and I think this was the best one of all. Not only were the graphics beautifully done (as usual) but there's so much to say about everything. Good and fun storyline with a bit of scariness to it, variety of HOS including silhouette that is interactive and a fun HOS that looks like a bunch of stamps and coins that is also interactive and the mini games are fun and slightly challenging. You get to collect animals that go into your zoo each with particular characteristics and you get goggle glasses that when used on the "eye" symbols brings up a "match the symbols" game. This game is just chocked full of things to do and is worthy to be called a CE.
