Wow! This was a wonderfully entertaining game to play! I have only played the demo but it had me hooked from the beginning. All aspects of the game are done very well from the beginning with the video intro to the most small details. I alway enjoy collecting extras and you do just that between finding the badges to finding the dreamcatchers. The girl that gives you the hints even nods whenever you pick something up along the way. One mini game in the demo wasn't too hard but then the mini game with tracking the footprints wasn't easy at all, especially since you had to keep starting over every time you messed up, ugh! I would imagine the whole game has to be pretty interesting since just the hour trial was filled with adventure. HO scenes weren't overdone which was a good thing but just enough to enjoy. I loved the match the shoes scene! Needless to say, I highly recommend this one!

I'm very impressed with this one! There was so much I loved about it! The graphics were beautiful, the real people in the cutscenes were great and even down to the most small detail like the cursor being a hand wrapped around a sword and changing to the "grabbing hand" was so cool. The eyes on the vines would follow everywhere the cursor went and at every step and turn, there was something surprising. Even though I just played the demo, there was not yet one HO scene but instead, things to grab along the way and many mini puzzles to solve which were not very difficult on advanced play until I got to the circuitry board which I had to skip just so I could move on in the demo and not waste too much time. This is a must have game because it is so full of adventure!
I recommend this game!

I've always enjoyed the Awakening series for its "whimsical" theme. It's a bit refreshing and different from the usual HO/Adventure games. I like how some of the HO scenes vary in that with some, you find 12 of the same object or in others, you pair up items that go together. We still have our "pocket dragon" which always comes in handy when you need fire. The graphics and sound are done well and the game overall is just challenging enough with figuring out what to do next along with the mini games.
I recommend this game!

As much as I usually like this type of theme, it didn't quite grab me the way others like this have. It still seemed to be well developed with the exception of the wording coming up a little on the slower side and some slowness in some scene transitioning. I wouldn't be interested enough in buying the CE but possibly the SE instead. Still fun to play though so give it a try anyway!

I didn't have to play this game but just a few minutes to see that the quality was not up to par. I'm so spoiled to ERS, Elephant and other developers that really put out great games so anything less just won't do. Apparently from seeing other reviews it works for some people though so more power to you guys! Not a recommendation from me.

Even after playing just a few minutes of this game, I was sold on it. It has beautiful graphics, great storyline and voice overs. Looks like there will be a good balance of HO scenes and adventure. Haven't played enough yet to see how well the puzzles or mini games might be but this just looks like a well enough developed game that I would definitely purchase. As a detective, you must find out what happened to the lawyer of an heir whose family has been under a witch's curse and there are times you will encounter her ghost. A game that should keep you interested!
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed this game so much that I could hardly wait to give a review of how great it was. I only have played the trial game but where can I start with how impressed I was with it. The beginning scene was fantastic with gangsters and I loved the special effect with you being the one in the grave looking up to be buried with the gangsters shoveling dirt on you and then a big hand wipes it away....wow, so cool! The HO scenes were uniquely interactive with looking first for silhouettes of the objects but having to find one at a time only to use to find the next object. The puzzles seemed to be pretty easy in the demo, so don't know if they get any harder but then I tried the game on casual instead of advanced like I usually do. There were 3 options of difficulty to play, casual, advanced and hard. Another unique thing was how you had to find runes to activate a crow that could help you fetch things that you couldn't reach. The graphics as usual for the redemption series games were great and voice overs done well along with all music and sound effects. I can hardly wait to play the rest of the game because it kept me both interested and intrigued the whole time during the demo.

I loved everthing about this game! The graphics are very well done, the cutscenes are great and the voice overs are good. The HO scenes are good and not too difficult, the mini games are very unique with the boat and apple and then the magnets. I can't wait to see what other mini games there might be because I only played the demo so far. I enjoyed collecting the flowers along the way in order to buy stuff to decorate a room with. I like that you get achievements as well. This is a unique game to stand out from most other games. The interactive map is great which lets you jump from one location to the next and even though I never had to use the hint button, it's supposed to let you know what to do next if you need help. I highly recommend this game!

I absolutely loved this game! I own all of the previous Echoes of the Past games and they just keep getting better!
As usual, the graphics are done so well and the sound is perfectly grafted into the story. Not only do you have your HO scenes that are always fun to search but then some of them you just place what you have found where it needs to go. I love how the witch transforms ordinary animals and statues into monsters that you have to in turn change back with magic powder. Lots of adventure in this game so I can't wait to get back to it. Puzzles are not extremely difficult but challenging. I highly recommend this one!

I was so happy to see another "Grim Tales" game. After playing the demo, I was very pleased with everything about the game. Elephant games developer always has the best quality graphics, voice overs, and all around great games to play. It's got a good balance of HO scenes to adventure. The puzzles are good so far and not too difficult. I'll probably wait for the SE because I'm not so sure that the CE is really worth the extra bucks. I highly recommend this game!
