This is my kind of game. Good storyline, great graphics, challenging HOs and fun puzzles. The story starts above ground on Easter Island fighting the 'baddies' but then moves underground to find all the remaining Seekers and regrow their seeds needed to defeat their foe. Action moves right along with very little lag. There are some areas that are slow and hard to get through but they are few. Only thing I disliked is the voices of some of the underground characters. They speak slow and in monotone and if it wasn't for the subtitles and continue I would be bored to death. Luckily I read faster than they talk and hit the button. This is a game that finally has some color and is not continually dark and sinister and I like that. Overall, a fun game and very enjoyable to play. I highly recommend this game. Play on Gamers!
I have been looking forever for some good mosaic puzzles but they are hard to find. This is, alas, not one of them. I like mine to have a challenge but this one left me bored and frustrated. A good mosaic has a great theme and great graphics. This one is a couple on a picnic which is not very earth shattering. This would be good for someone looking for a leisurely playable game to pass time. The graphics were almost amateurish and not very inspiring. For those of you who like this type of puzzle, have fun but not for me.
This game started with 2 of my worst pet peeves; dark scenes and no real story. This was not a fun game to me. The only challenge is to try and figure out what the heck is going on. No real continuity in that you skip back and forth getting stuff to do something trivial. The HO's are lacking and add nothing. But probably my biggest negative with this game is when you exit they waste time by showing, in quick time, the rest of the story which is a waste. When I hit exit, that's what I want to do. I don't understand how something as unchallenging as this gets 5 stars. Oh well, people have different tastes. Enjoy it if you can but it's not for me.
Although I am a fan of HO games, this one left me with the HO-HUMS. The story is weak at best and the characters leave something to be desired. The music was annoying, I know I could have turned it down but I always forget, and for some reason it ramps up at the most inappropriate times like something terrifying is about to happen which, of course, doesn't. The hidden object puzzles are not a challenge and fairly easy and, like most other mediocre HO games, they keep sending you back and forth to the same locations opening things to find something to go somewhere else and find something to go somewhere else, etc., etc, I like games with good, sound stories, great graphics and believable characters that were thought out. Sorry, but I can't recommend this one. Some may like it but I'm not one.
I chose to play this because it is new and I enjoy HO. However, this game left a bad taste in my mouth. The voices are obvious computer generated fakes and not even close to human and very annoying. The story line is a jump from here to there, get something, go back to there, use it , get something else, etc., etc. Same thing over and over without really progressing through the story. Graphics are sub par and, again, dark. I'll say again, why do hidden object mysteries have to be so dark? Let's have some color and brightness. The music is most annoying and I had to turn it off. Some people might enjoy this type of HO and more power to them, but it was not my cup of tea and I don't recommend it. At least only do the demo and then decide.
I enjoy anything Civil War related in history and I thought this would be a nice game to try. Boy, was I wrong. The resolution in the scenes is so bad that, unless you have super vision, you can't see the objects you are looking for. I wasted 15 minutes just on the first screen. The decoding the letter was fairly simple though and I got that right off. But I wasted all my hints and still didn't find the last clue. I'm glad I didn't play in timed mode because that would have been a disaster. This is not even a game for history buffs unless you enjoy trying to find things not even remotely related to the Civil War. Come on, An octopus? I don't recommend this game.
I have other Witches Legacy games and they are pretty good however, this one must have been developed by gamer's who are bored, new to the industry or just don't know what people want. The story line is very weak and the constant running back and forth finding things and taking it back to find something else to go somewhere else is very tedious and boring. The HO games are not that interesting or challenging and leave one with a 'what the heck' feeling. The music is very annoying and should be turned off or at least down if you insist on playing this game. And, if you are going to put a clown in a game at least make it cheery. No wonder so many people hate clowns. I played half the demo and now I will be deleting it.
I played the demo of this game and I was totally bored. The storyline is weak at best and there is no flow in the story, it just jumps around randomly as you hunt for items you need to do unrelated tasks. Graphics were not that good especially when the characters were "talking". I found nothing redeeming in this game and I don't recommend it.
I have played some Haunted Legends before and I should have remembered why I never bought any. They are boring. Same thing over and over flicking from one place to another and back again doing the same thing. No challenge and the storyline is lame along with the characters. The scenes are dark and uninviting not to mention depressing. There is a warning at the opening that basically says you may be scared. Well, I never saw anything even remotely scary. I do not recommend this game.
I am usually a fan of Youda games but this one left me with the "ho-hums". Usually Youda has good game play and great graphics but this one left me bored after about 20 minutes of the demo. Same thing over and over with a few things added to hopefully make the game more interesting. Well, they didn't just made it more tedious and took all the fun out. I have Governor of Poker Premium edition and that is one of my favorites. Youda Fisherman is far from this game. Might be ok if you like point and click only but I want some action.
