This could be very good, but the main drawback is that you can't make a match while the tokens are still falling...an aspect I really HATE in M3 games. If you try to play the timed mode with this happening, it is very frustrating. This dev does make really good games usually and the graphics are always great, but, in this instance, we have already seen this same exact scenario where you have to collect the pieces of an artifact in another of their games; can't remember which one. Even the power up sun thing is the same as before. Also, while I enjoy and understand the cartoon nature of the artwork, there are some that might be offended by the stereotypical representation of Native Americans. Nevertheless, the story is well written and interesting. Just not enough to make me buy it...sorry.
I don't recommend this game.

Sorry, but .....I don't think so! The simplicity of this game is really irritating. There are no voice overs, everything moves very slowly and the HOs and mini games are silly and extremely easy. The story doesn't even really make sense. There are little puzzles at every turn; sometimes you are required to do them more than once...for crying out loud, the 'pick off the top item' game is bad enough once, but they make you do it three times just to get into something! All of the mini games I encountered seemed to be merely following instructions and were tedious beyond belief! One game has you clicking on groups of coloured balls, but you have to accumulate 1000, so it takes awhile...makes you start to wonder when it will end. In the Rotate the rings thing, they only turn one at a time...so what is the point? There is no map, but then, in the demo there were not that many places to explore, so maybe the map is not needed. The graphics were ok, but nothing exceptional. The background music is very soft, and what with the lack of voices, it seems very flat and boring. There are glow-bugs to find in each scene, but they are really obvious...so no challenge there. This almost seems as if it started out as a kid's game, then was modified badly to make it more adult...it also feels quite old; maybe it was in the vault for a while. Maybe ok for kids but just not up to snuff, even for an SE.
I don't recommend this game.

I loved it! Of course, I like the first Lagoona game as well. These games are totally mindless and enjoyable; no dark story or adventure, just simple innocent fun. There are many different things to find: gems, food, map pieces and quest items, as well as outline and list items, in each scene. Also, there are a lot of puzzles, which you access in the HO scene, some of them quite challenging and all very, very cute. The artwork is very good and the sound is pleasant. The tetris-like means of keeping track of your items is also new and fun. It looks like there will be a significant number of places to search and restore, with choices for rebuilding, as usual. So, if you would like a break from the serious sombre stuff, I heartily recommend this one!
I recommend this game!

The demo left me feeling unsettled, which is why I don't care for this type of story. I never really feel it is appropriate to make a game out of mental illness, and then to have simplistic remedies to childhood horrors is horrible..however if you can overcome the premise, some of this game is ok. However, people suffering from arachnophobia be warned, spiders are in a lot of the scenes, and they are creepy realistic ones! That said, the rest of the game is not bad. The HOs are beautifully illustrated, while quite simple and the puzzles are the standard issue. The thing that irritated me the most was the use of the inventory items; I needed to click on everything twice to pick up. I also really disliked the voice overs...totally bad! There is a jumping map and an irritating teddy bear companion, who also acts as the hint button. This seemed to be a SE demo, even though it is a CE, so there were no extras, that I could find. As usual, give it a try, it might appeal to you...but it's a NO from me.
I don't recommend this game.

This is definitely a keeper! The artwork is beautiful, and the story is cute...you are unlocking the seasons by earning clock tower pieces. There are four suites with 24 parts to each...so I'm thinkin' 96 levels at least. In between, you enter different buildings that change the back drop, and in each there is an HO scene. They are lists sometimes, and sometimes you have to find related objects for pictured items...really quite different. Maybe HO devs should try this once in a while. There are also puzzles occasionally, which while standard, are once again so beautifully drawn, you just want to keep looking at them. The solitaire itself is not just up and down, but sometimes it deals pairs, which you can match to the board...this type seems more difficult. You need to try a couple of times, then, if you do not achieve the level, it will let you advance if you so choose. So, I imagine it will not be totally impossible at the end, like some solitaires turn out to be. There is no un-do button, which is different, so I had to be more careful than usual. I have never seen so much care taken in the graphics for a solitaire game...they are worth the price alone; just gorgeous! I was disappointed when the time ran out on the demo, so I am off to purchase and continue. Excellent!!
I recommend this game!

I feared the worst when I started to play and venomous bites were a factor...but it's only spiders; which is bad enough for some. But I liked the overall play of the game. The mini games and puzzles are a lot of fun and take some brain work; had to skip a few as I was only playing the demo. But if I buy it I will enjoy taking my time and figuring them out...they were almost the best part. Also, when I started to play there were no reviews available to take tips from and I couldn't find any collectibles at first, so I missed a few of the posters at the beginning. The HOs were ok, but could have used a little variation; also some of the tasks were the same-olds...I swear, I'm sick and tired of repairing ladders..doesn't anyone own one in good condition?! The graphics and visuals are really good and the lip sync is spot on, music is unobtrusive, ambient noises are good. The hint refills quickly and the map is transportable. It looks like it will have quite a few places to explore, so should be a decent length. The extras are as expected. I'm still undecided as to whether I will buy...the HOs are the biggest drawback, in my opinion.
I recommend this game!

I am going to be the black sheep of the reviewers, probably...but I didn't like this as much as others did. I have all the others in this series and I do like them, but I found this one not as much fun. The movements are slow; it takes too long for newly found items to go into the inventory, and I don't like the up-top inventory. The graphics are nice and most of the sound is good...except..WHY does the young a beautiful (some would say hot, even) witch have an old lady voice? Even the dialogue is slow and some of it cannot be skipped over. Also, I really dislike HO lists that have 4 of something, 3 of something else....I've said this in the past, this comes off as a dev short cut. Some of the tasks seem over done as well...I mean, do we really need to repair the piano, then go hunting for sheet music, just to find a candle? I think I must be getting tired of sequels...bring on some new stuff!
I don't recommend this game.

This is a really cute game, but...there are a few irritations that drag my rating down. I always love building M3 games, to start with. This one is good in the building part although the M3 play itself is a little slow. There are a lot of different symbols and power ups which add a bit of variation, but in M3s I really like to move fast and this one does not go fast enough; the bombs are not quick or very effective and some of the symbols look faint and some are similar...all that slows it down. Also, in between most match screens there are scenarios in which you have to find small purple shapes on purple backgrounds, and you don't get any reward for doing this, so I have no idea why these are there. There are times when you have to click on falling crystals which are tiny and difficult to hit, but at least you do get a power up for doing this, although I skipped it after a few times, because I found it so irritating. The art work is sweet and there are accomplishments to achieve. Some M3 levels reward you with a gold crystal which is added to a fountain. I imagine when you get them all the game will be completed...not sure though, as I only played the demo. All in all, quite cute and I imagine kids will enjoy this.
I recommend this game!

I got a big kick out of this one! There is a lot of shock value spooky stuff...things jump out at you unexpectedly, scenes are red, amorphous thingys drift in and out of the scenes. I really enjoyed all of these little additions..true, not a lot of expense has gone into this game, but still it turns out to be fun and engaging. The HOs are very well drawn and are quite challenging. The different types of HOs add a little twist for us, as well. The mini games require a little more time to figure out than the usuals and I found them interesting. The one draw back I found is the lack of a map. There seemed to be a bit of back and forthing in the demo. The hint button is directional, and I used it quite a bit...fortunately, it refills quickly on the easy setting. By the way, there are only two settings: easy or hard. I don't agree with some regarding the graphics; I found them excellent in each scene. I think this dev could bear watching in the future.
I recommend this game!

There's a bad smell emanating from my computer...oh, yeah...it's this game! What a stinker!! The story is completely stupid and the gameplay is extremely annoying. The VOs are strange...the prison guard sounds like a teenager from a Disney cartoon, the guy in the bar just keeps yelling for more wine and the gardener tells you he wants to ask you one more question but he never does... (possibly a glitch). The hints are numbered and you have to collect jewels to get more, but there are not very many available, and I used the hint button a lot because it was unclear what needed to be done. The HOs were straightforward with only slight interaction, and the shadow HOs were quite frustrating because you can't tell what some of the amorphous blobs are supposed to be. There is a transporting map, but it is in the journal and you have to open the journal then open the map each time you want to look at it. It doesn't offer any indication of where things might need doing. Some scenes you need to exit then return to after you have attained an item, for no apparent reason. The mini games seemed like they would be challenging, but a couple if moves solved them...maybe they will improve as I only played the demo, but I certainly will not be the one to find out, as there is no way I would pay for this game. The only redeeming aspect is the graphic art, which is nice but not enough to keep me playing. Sorry for the bad review, but ...uurgh!
I don't recommend this game.
