Overall this is an outstanding game.
My one pet peeve is that the blood charges are really hard to find and not finding them really extends the game as you need them to buy better buildings. So, playing in the relaxed level I had time once I figured out, they could only be found by literally trying all the edges spaces (this means matching over them). Then once all of the blood charges were found. It is safe to complete the level.
I recommend as soon as the upgrade to the human helper (I had Jean), buy the upgrade for more gold / coins for him (thats 8000 gold). This vastly speeds up what and how one can build.
Lastly -- don't forget to build up your village, you will need that for the boss battles.
Enjoy.
I recommend this game!

I barely made it through the first level. And as other have said, its mostly just 'watching' the two men gather up resources and fix stuff. I know that is the nature of Time Management games, but there was nothing I could tell that was different or exciting about this game.
Now if you want to be bored and fall asleep then this game is for you.
I don't recommend this game.

I like that BFG managed to put another RPG out for us to enjoy. The last one I played was Puzzle Quest. That was a lot of fun.
This game, I like the turn based play, but you can't do a 'pass' turn -- i.e. don't do anything AND there is no way to rest. In order to heal you have to BURN healing potions and the coin to take to buy them So far the best I can do is hope that I find enough and that buying 6 of them is enough to get through a quest.
You can't leave in the middle of a quest to go get more healing potions unless you have a scroll that takes you back to town. These are rare and though buyable (at least I seen them one or two times available), you can't get them all the time.
Items get damaged with each use (or hit if armor), so you end up spending coin getting them fixed and they are never fully restored. Annoying but adds to the challenge.
If you are up to a challenging and don't mind replaying levels (when you run out of moves). Worth a try.
Do note there are a limited number of times you can die. Don't know what happens when that happens. I suspect you have to start all over again at level 1. I will post an update if I find out.
I recommend this game!

I have stopped buying from this company. I keep on hoping they change things but they clearly don't read the reviews.
* the layouts and play (up / down, clear gold cards, and the 3 powerups available are beyond expensive -- 5000 for a joker? If you are lucky you might earn enough for a joker in 4 hands / games of solitaire.)
* fortunately I don't have to worry about the music, that can be turned off. The cards (font / backs) are ok at best. It would be interesting to have more options but I usually go for the option that has the least amount of issues seeing them.
* I can't really see how having what is essentially a beginner and advance group of hands. Why??
Just start easy and get harder, if you really want to get harder. Or have an option to have 'easy', 'normal', 'hard'.
Then those that want a relaxing game of solitaire can select easy, and those that want to replay hands 10+ times to succeed can select hard.
* Only reason I give level of challenge as Excellent is most of the hands that I did play (part of the beginner level of the demo) -- it was very hard to get all the gold cards.
I don't recommend this game.

I played 4 levels on the demo/trial (1 hour free).
Pros: Crisp, colorful and easy to view graphics. I liked the sell to trading post process -- this was different and did require some thought about timing and how much.
Cons: Too many clicks for gathering resources, i.e. click to harvest and click to water. Do you really need 2 functions?? The watering was just a way to spend coin.
If there was a story not much done on that in the first few levels.
I don't recommend this game.

Beyond the general mechanics of match-3, there is a huge amount of thought required to play especially the later levels of the game.
I played this on relaxed option and it was still very hard the last two segments (temple, castle ruins).
The 'boss' battles on each level even if 'relaxed' you can still run out of time. Annoying but made it more challenging.
Though there is bonuses to be able to use, I could never figure out which of the tiles charged which bonus. And if there was help for which bonus are charged by what, I could not find it.
Be prepared to replay levels frequently until you pass them.
I would not recommend this game unless you really want a challenge and don't mind replaying levels.
I don't recommend this game.

About the only really positive thing I can say about this game is at least the pieces one is matching are easy to see.
And though the levels are not hard (in relaxed mode), what is hard is if you want to get 3 stars for a level, one has to be very careful not to do all the requirements until, you have scored enough points to do it. The circle in the upper left is the score with the small round marks on the circle indicating the 'stars' I have found at least the 20 or so levels I played you need between 500 and 800 points to get 3 stars, each level is different as far as I can tell. You get 1 point for each piece matched. So if you want any chance of not spending a good 20 to 30 minutes on a level, do match 4 or 5 these will generate a booster that when used will generate an extra 10 to 20 points.
The building part of the game, takes time as the 'points' awarded to build per level run vary so it takes at least 4 to 5 levels to build a building. Note most of the buildings cost between 2000 and 3000 points.
This will be the rare time I actually will delete a game. Its literally not worth my time. But if you have boat load of spare time and don't mind really paying attention to the points to get the 3 stars, then go for it.
I don't recommend this game.

Overall excellent game.
My only concern -- is that I could not figure out how to use wildcards, and the Help wasn't helpful about that.
If you don't use wildcards then you are good to go.

I check pretty much every time this company comes out with a new solitaire game in the last 3 years (at least). And I have noted no changes that I can remember beyond the style of the cards, and other graphics.
I didn't even get through the 'Newbie' section before the solitaire games because too hard to do with the number of cards provided. I don't mind getting down to the wire (i.e. the last card but .. really 25 cards to use and over 50 to remove).
Everything that you can buy cost to much in relationship to how much coin one earns. i.e. a Joker is 5000 and if you are lucky you might get 2000 for solving the hand.
The game only starts with 1 undo for the whole game, then you have to buy them or get lucky and find one reward wise on the cards (snowflake on the card). At the very least, the undo should be refreshed / reset for each hand.
I don't recommend this game.

Review -- Part 2
Having completed the game it is still fun and very challenging especially the last 150 or so levels.
This is a game where I highly recommend, patience!, and be prepared to play some levels 30 or 40 times.
I do like the new features in the game Trito's III.
Note to developers -- I highly recommend having an easy setting as the levels over 400 some levels are really hard (and I am not counting the levels marked Hard!). If this game is geared towards younger players, they are going to get very frustrated very quickly in the upper levels.
I recommend this game!
