A rather odd game even for the original Surface series. Possibly Elephant Developers had a game that needed finishing and this is it. Can't say I've understood or even liked the entire Surface series although each game is part of my BFG collection. Why--because I'm an Elephant fan and not going to start booing them now.
Gamers will benefit by accepting the fact that this is a game to play just to relax and enjoy--nothing strenuous. Mini-games and puzzles were fairly interesting. The artwork is beautiful so sit back and smell the roses. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
The makers of so many really good games--Dark Tales, Gothic Fiction, Dark Alleys, Phantasmat Crucible Peak, Sisterly Love is way out of left field in an outlandish fantasy land. There's much to do and well worthy the CE value for the younger audience or gamers who prefer the magic mushroom story line.
Bonus content provides additional gameplay with lots of extras to enjoy--40 cut scenes, 6 calendars, 8 wallpapers, 15 concept art, 4 screen savers, 13 hidden object scenes, 18 mini-games and 4 musical tracks. The artwork is astonishing eye candy.
Finished the entire tedious game and bonus content. No recommendation for mature BFG gamers.
Okay, roughly eighteen months later and wanted to review on the Standard, however, do purchase the Collector's Edition. Secrets of the Mafia is one of the best games I've ever played in so many years. Hey--not giving away my age!
Game is superior in every aspect--challenge, cut-scenes, story, puzzles, hidden objects, music--all fascinating and get this gamers--heartwarming! You'll see. I don't remember if this game won any BFG awards in 2014, yet, It should have and could have in 2015 as well. Winning should not be based on sales mostly due to the fact that everyone here knows MCF wins hands down each and every time mostly due to the advertising and reputation. Giving this game a solid FIVE stars is just not enough! The bonus game is just as great and completes the original standard version in a very satisfactory manner. No cliff hangers here. No unhappy surprises. Just absolutely great gaming. Also highly recommend gamers get NY Mysteries High Voltage CE. Superior, superior, superior. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
In this ghostly continuation of the Fear for Sale series, you've discovered a luxury ocean liner bears an eerie resemblance to a ship that vanished years ago.
Completed game. The Fear for Sale series is one of my favorites. Usually lean more toward the older games, though. Artwork, graphics, voice overs, cut scenes, music--all superb.
Since I'm not a big fan of hidden objects and especially not the interactive which makes me crazy, did not take that out on the review stars and give this game a thumbs up. Thankfully, gamer can switch to a jigsaw puzzle and usually finished up with the last few puzzle pieces. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
The series has grown since the first and was very subtle. The Dread of Oakville kinda sorta starts the same and then--way out of left field--comes the shocker! Wasn't prepared for this game's surprises amidst the usual top quality gaming--music, artwork, graphics, cut scenes, etc. Loved Mae's voice over! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Better late than never. Just finished complete CE version including Bonus Chapter.
Engaging story, challenging puzzles, quality artwork and computer graphics with superior musical compositions. All spell Elephant Developers' genius who pulled out all the stoppers to meet and exceed gaming excellence. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Last review was for the demo only and to appreciate this outstanding game, would recommend the Collector's Edition. Finally finished the game as I work two jobs and took my time really enjoying every moment.
Everything is perfect imho--cut scenes, achievements, morphing crystal balls, music, storyline, computer graphics, hand drawn artwork, clarity, bonus game--all tied up into one magical moment in time! Thank you Devs and BFG! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Opening scene storyline grabs gamers' attention and off we go into "Whispered Secrets-Golden Silence gaming excellence. Never disappointed by the high quality computer graphics, artwork, music, puzzles and hidden objects.
Where is everyone and why have so many disappeared over the years? Discovering the truth is your quest! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Can understand some gamers' confusion over storyline as it takes a sharp term seemingly mid-stream. Initially, you're investigating a weather abnormality/secretive weather station. Next, you're embroiled within an underground research lab for highly intelligent students.
Cannot deny one detail, however and that is the consistent top quality gaming excellence Eipix offers their loyal followers--such as myself. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
Another great Ashley Clark sequel this time beginning at the zoo and gamers should not be lulled into thinking this is a regular zoo visit because it isn't.
Gamers will be taken to awe inspiring dimensional wonders which is why this gamer is surprised at the low number of feedback. For once, the usual high marks given by the usual high mark givers are genuine.
Puzzles, hidden objects, story line--all enjoyable and worthy for replay! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
