You play Detective Fox (Gingertail??) and a woman you fell for calls you in distress. You go to her house and by the time you figure out how to get in, she's dead. You get involved in the case and run into some mobsters that you are trying to prove killed her. It's a nice game. A tad slow. You can figure out what to do most of the time and that's the fun of it. What to do next. Some different puzzles and interactive hops. There are morphing objects and collectables that are pretty easy to find. I think an advanced player would buy this as a SE not a CE. Overall, a nice "escape" on a Sunday afternoon.
I recommend this game!

A good Halloween game is one that is fun, scary but not so freaky you have bad dreams. This is a fun game. Not too hard. The progress of the game is such that you use objects relatively quickly once you find them so that you don't lose track of the story line. Some nice "make you jump moments" . Puzzles were fun and different enough to not be boring but not so hard you want to give up. The demo takes a twist at the end that has me curious enough to want to buy it. I recommend!

Great game. See previous reviews for details of the story. This game had some nice new twists that made it different from what we have been seeing. Yes there is a slight woodenness to the interchanges between characters in the voiceovers but the storyline is forgiving. The scenes, graphics and storyline draw you in. The hop scenes flow nicely into why you are doing them. There is more freedom of movement and choice that adds a degree of realism that enhances the play. This has a nice chemistry. A fun game.

This game is REALLY fun. You can read earlier reviews for the details of how it works and I suggest you should. For the first time in quite awhile I was really caught up in the STORY. Everything really flowed well. Puzzles were not haphazard and fit well into the story line. Lots of them which I like but logical in their placement. Not too hard but not too easy. Kept me engaged. Good map. Lots of extras but the set up keeps you aware and you can find them without disrupting the game flow which I think is key for a good CE. A little extra fun without disrupting the game in order to achieve what you need. The musical score doesn't contribute but doesn't interrupt either. This is a great game. I haven't finished it yet but I am really enjoying it. Well worth the weekend special price.
I recommend this game!

This review is based on the demo only. I have had mixed feelings about the puppet series as I am not a fan of puppets. These games though are often well done and fun so I always check them out. This one has good voiceovers, an appropriate music score and decent puzzles especially the tram route puzzle. It doesn't seem to be of CE caliber but will make a great SE. The story is it's greatest asset. I may buy it just to get to find out the ending! Enjoy.

I have really enjoyed this series so I felt a thrill when I saw the notice there was a new EAP offering. Played the demo. Very short as others have mentioned. I like the character of Dupin but they furrowed his brow so he looks angry all the time. What happened to the suave unruffled detective? Puzzles were very easy. There are collectible cards to find but they generally stand out easily. This just didn't hold my attention as much as I had been hoping it would.
I don't recommend this game.

This is a really great game.Very entertaining. Time passed by so quickly! Please refer to first reviewer for details of the game. The chemistry on this game is good. If you don't cheat and check the strategy guide, it has plenty of challenges for players of many levels. You gather many items and there is a lapse for when you use them so you have to think and remember. Some going back and forth but this game works because actions are logical. There is a nice flow to the game and it makes sense. There is plenty to do and I actually was grateful that the cursor helped me find morphing objects and collectibles as I get so caught up in the story that I fail miserably otherwise! Great game.
I recommend this game!

This review is based only on the demo. You, Natalie are called to meet with your partner Jason who is on the trail of an ancient artifact, the Blue Veil. He gets shot in front of you by a member of the "Shadow" organization and gives you a message as he is taken off in an ambulance. You try to connect the dots on his research to foil the plot of the Shadow organization which has long been the nemesis of the Templars to get to the Blue Veil first. The graphics are a step up from cartoonish but definitely not like watching a movie. There is once again that suspension of disbelief where you explore Sir William's hotel room even though Sir William is standing there and are you are told "time is of the essence." There are no morphing objects or collectibles or achievements. CE value is having available the SG. The HOPs start out easy but do increase in sophistication as the demo progresses. The games are decent but not hard. I personally would buy this as an SE as I like Templar themed stories and the storyline is good but I don't see this as a CE, especially for fishies who play regularly. It's actually a really good game for beginners as there are less distractions.
I recommend this game!

This review is based on half way through the CE version. This is a good quality game. You can read the previous reviews for info on the storyline and details of the game play. I was so engrossed in the story and the next thing to do that I will definitely have to play it again to catch the collectibles, signets, acorns. First time through was dismal at that as progressing through the story held my attention. This may be a good one to wait for the SE if you don't care about the extras and don't replay games to catch the extras. The basic game is solid. The music and sound quality were very good which I always value highly. What you accomplish is logical and helps you progress which I like as well. My only "complaint" is that the games were very easy and I tended to overthink them. I would have given it a 5 if the games hadn't been so easy. Overall a great game, especially for a three day weekend when you can really have the time to enjoy the overall experience. Well done.
I recommend this game!

Story begins quickly with you visiting Alaska to visit your sister. On the way home from the airport she takes you to her fiancee's house where the two of you are going to join her fiancee Daniel and his mother for dinner. You get there and Mom is mad and uses her magic powers to freeze your sister and take her away. You have to connect with Daniel and the locals to figure out what's going on and how to save her. Again there is that funny thing they do in these games where you have to suspend your disbelief/common sense and not immediately chase after your sister; rather start to accomplish tasks in the area. That is the nature of these games. There is nice Native American/Eskimo themes that help make some of the unplausibility of it more acceptable and interesting. You are a photographer and you were willing to make this visit at your sister's invite to take pictures of animals for your next book. That's one of the collectibles is to see the animal in a scene and take a pic with your camera. The graphics are cartoonish. Faces are good but they are attached to cartoon bodies and move stiffly. . HoG scenes are very straightforward. Puzzles are so easy, I way overplayed them at first. The mouse maze is very stiff. Sometimes I couldn't get the mouse to move in the direction I wanted without backtracking and sometimes the mouse appeared to be partly under the wall. There seemed to be a floppiness to the cursor as well. Music was not a contributing factor. Didn't add or subtract. They did a nice job with the storyline which is it's main draw, They do introduce early a second thread that captures one's interest, about another girl who disappeared. Shortly after they mention a severe illness with Daniel that may be the motivation for the Mom's behavior. The storyline truly carries the game, but otherwise to me it was just an okay game. I would wait for the SE.
I don't recommend this game.
