With all the game series going down in flames in 2015, it's nice to have one that didn't. I loved this one with the art deco period theme and the mysterious vanishing cruiseliner with a mystery to solved for one of our favorite journalists. The graphics are beautiful and characters are excellent, challenge isn't all that difficult but I did have to check the guide a couple of times. The HOs are interactive and hidden well, and very enjoyable. Puzzles are more difficult and the only thing I wish weren't in these type games. I love the story and can't wait to continue as my review is based on demo. I continue to LOVE the Fear for Sale series.

Mystery Trackers has always been one of my favorite series, but they laid a rotten egg this time. There are some good things, such as the graphics and voiceovers, and the storyline was OK, but it's a tale I'm not familiar with. HOs were fine but had nothing new, at least during the Demo. What I disliked was the evidence collecting that was not a part of the past MTs, the puzzles that you have to do several different tasks in different parts of the puzzle, but worst of all was the Foresight Vision where you could see the past, taking you to when the incident happened and you had to find out of place items. It seems that 2015 has only brought us ruination of the great series of the past, with the only exception being the new PuppetShow. Developers, when you are going to stray, please title the game with a whole new name. I dislike the word Hate, but I really Hated this one. I won't purchase the CE or SE, but I feel if you do want to suffer thru this one, you will need the Guide on occasion.

I maybe shouldn't rate this game, but it does ask what my thoughts are so here I go. Graphics are pretty nice and sound is great with characters continuing conversation without clicking "continue". HOs were interesting, most being interactive where you had to complete some kind of task, puzzles were different and I didn't skip any. Challenge was good and I did have to check the Guide in the 1st chapter to understand how this game functioned. All in all, everything was very good except the story, which I just did not enjoy. Maybe if I had gone and played the previous games in the series, as I felt like I walked into a movie that was half over. I always liked the ancient themes, but just not this one for some reason. I do recommend because of the game play, but I doubt that it will ever make it into my purchased column.
I recommend this game!

I am elated after the demo and can't wait to continue the adventure. I've played all PuppetShow games, some were very good, some just so-so, but this one, based on the demo, is awesome. Visual and sound were excellent and challenge was hard enough that I did need the guide a couple of times. HO's were well done and different varieties and the puzzles were different and I didn't dislike them, which for me, is unheard of. Love the story, felt like I was watching an exciting movie. I only review the categories and don't go tell you the story as the game description does that and you don't need a bunch of wordy reviews. All I'm here to tell you is, this game must be best of the year. I just hope that the rest of the game doesn't burst my bubble.

I played the Beta Test and disliked it, so thought I'd clear my mind and pretend it wasn't called 1000 Doors; even that did not make me like this game. So, with the factor of ignoring it's from a series, I did not like the game play or the story. I did like the HOGs as they were different and a little complex, thought there were far too many puzzles, some easy, some hard, some I skipped. I really disliked the Follow the Line when you had to remove the spell. this was also my biggest complaint in the Beta as it's boring and tedious after a couple of times. I will not buy this in CE or SE version, but will remain neutral in recommending it as it's your choice. Developers, please, when you do a series, stick to the format that made the series so great. I loved #1, liked #2, disappointed with #3, and dislike #4. I want more like #1 PLEASE!!!!!

I am unsure of this adventure as the demo was far too short and could not get an idea of the quality. The graphics are nice in their muted tones, characters were well done with continuous speech, and interactive map worked well. The HOs were quite easy and mostly list format and puzzles were few and easily completed. Since I feel this will be a very short game, I will wait for the SE version to come out. Besides, the strategy guide was very annoying as every time you closed it, it went back to the index and you had to reopen the chapter and go thru all the pages again to get to where you left off. Not difficult enough for a guide anyway, but what a waste of money to buy such an annoying accessory. Recommend you wait for SE unless you're new or desperate. :)

Demo was a little slow and I was starting to get bored, but was starting to get into the teeth of the mystery when demo ended. which makes you want to continue. Visual was well done and I did like the character voices as they were well casted. Challenge was good, not too many puzzle, which were are on the harder side, and HOs were a little different and I had to use a hint to figure out what I needed to do. Story was getting interesting and it's nice to have a mystery story for a change and hope it is an interesting continuation as it goes on. Who died and where is the real Marian? Guess you'll have to purchase the game to find out, but I'll wait for the SE as I didn't open the guide once during the demo.

Just like everything that is a series, the longer it goes on, the less interesting it becomes. The others in the series were good, but this one falls flat and is not interesting or challenging. I was so excited to see a new Witches Legacy, but now am disappointed and will probably pass, even when it comes out in SE version. Yes, it may follow the storyline, but they are really trying to push the envelope on gameplay and it has failed miserably. If you aren't a fan of the series, you may enjoy this one as a standalone, but followers won't accept this as a continuation of the good ones of the past. Maybe developers should not try to outdo the originals in the series and start anew with a new story; this may have been acceptable if characters and titles were new. No recommendation as new players may like this but I don't recommend for WL followers.

Years ago, I might have rated this one higher, but in today's standards, this is just an OK game. Story, graphics, and challenge were all OK, but even though old-school, this one does have lip moving voiceovers and an interactive map, which were a plus. HOs are list form, but items were well hidden, and there were some find fragments searches in certain areas, also, there were few puzzles. A beginner would find this game to be interesting and challenging, and that's who I would recommend this game to, but not the seasoned player. Never heard of this developer before, but they have a ways to go in order to compete with the current reliable developers out there.

I had previously rated this game on the CE version and had given 3 stars, saying is was a little boring and too easy for a CE and would reconsider when the SE came out. Since games were on sale for 60% off when the SE came out, I bought it and now wish I had gone with my gut and rejected it. This game did not get better after the demo point, and even though it was a cold boring day yesterday, playing the SE version to the end made the day even longer and boring. This one did not follow in the footprints of prior Mystery Tales titles, and after playing the whole game, I can definitely say I do not recommend it. There was a bad puzzle every time I turned around, some being super easy and others so hard to understand that I Skipped them, and HOs weren't all that great either. Chapters got shorter and shorter, and more stupid, I just couldn't wait for the end.
