I purchased this one as I had a free game that expired on the day this came out and the demo was interesting. I'm glad that I waited until I had completed the entire game, minus the bonus, before reviewing this as it wasn't as good as the demo lead me to believe. The only collectibles I found were silhouettes, found not morphing or other items along the way. The HOs were interesting and I think I used a hint one time as I was able to figure out the interactive play. I did skip a few puzzles, but most I managed to complete; the ones I skipped are ones that I just do not enjoy messing with. The story in the beginning was interesting, but it never answered how or why, and I won't ruin it by telling you why I have questions. Because of the confusing ending, I only rate this a 3 as a good story is very important to me. It was a decent game, but I would recommend you wait for the SE version to come out. Because of this, I don't recommend the CE...unless the bonus answers my questions, which I still have not played. If the bonus does answer my questions, you won't get them in the SE, so I wouldn't recommend it either. Good Luck!
I don't recommend this game.

WOW, glad that demo is over as I was bored out of my mind. I've like and purchased others in this series, but this one is just way too strange for me and quite uninteresting. There was a puzzle every time I turned around, some easy and some very hard, but way too many. The HOs were OK, but the one you had to find the symbols was extremely hard for me and even if I used the hint, some of them still didn't look like what the clue gave. This is a total pass for me and wish I hadn't even loaded it. Go for it if you are into some real wayout Syfy adventures, but I want to have a logical understanding of the world I'm playing in.
I don't recommend this game.

Scenes are well done and HOs are challenging, but that's all that is great about this game. Tasks are here, there, and everywhere and seems there is too much jumping around. Story may be interesting, but demo didn't go long enough to get an idea of where it's going. Last scene in the demo, there was no voiceover and you had to read text, not a good thing. I may take another look at this one when it comes out on SE, but for now, it's a pass for me and I do not recommend the CE version. Just too many tedious unimportant things to do so far and nothing to make it interesting.
I don't recommend this game.

I seldom give 5 Stars as I reserve them for only something new and this one is very different and exciting, The graphics are stunning, the characters are really interesting, and the story is great, but the game play is new and innovative and I really enjoyed the demo. The game play is so new that a SG is recommended which requires the CE version in order to find your way thru this challenging fun game. All I can say is "KUDOs" to the developers and Big Fish for bringing us something that others will have a hard time competing with. I just hope that the remaining portion of the game is as great as the demo. Love this one; may not be for beginners!
I recommend this game!

I couldn't have the demo end soon enough, so boring. Way too much character talk and gameplay was uninteresting, can't put my finger on exactly what the problem was, but it just was very bad. The only good thing I can say about this game is that the HO list items were fairly hard to find and that is a good thing.
I don't recommend this game.

It has been a very long time since I've played this form of HOG and even though I'm a little rusty on this type, I'm going for it and have already purchased. The graphics are beautiful, challenge is very acceptable, and even though the story is not told the way we have become accustomed to, it should come together. It will be fun to play this type for a change and glad BF gave it to us. It takes some getting used to, but hopefully I'll be able to manage my way through without having any guidance, This type game is a true HOG and once you've played enough scenes, you'll be able to find the items. Thanks again for giving us this one.
I recommend this game!

I don't know what game graveyard they dug this one out of, but think it needs buried in a dark hole. There is nothing to like here, poor graphics, no characters, no challenge, and no story means no excitement. It's a waste to even load this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I'll be purchasing this as soon as I finish this review, even with a few minor glitches that cause the game to not run smoothly...example is conversation with Shamin's son and the mouse maze is off and you need to manipulate the toggles up. down. and across to make mouse go in the center, The graphic's are nicely done and characters are good, but couldn't take my eyes off the Shamin's son's mouth as it seemed sunk in or something and his conversation was not smooth with the weird mouth. Puzzles and HOs seemed mostly quite simple and nothing new. I find taking pictures of wildlife a distraction, but guess you need other tasks other than actual gameplay. But, the story is pretty exciting and that's what makes this one good. OK, got to go so I can buy and continue my adventure.
I recommend this game!

Based on the Demo, which was short and left you with no rushing desire to purchase the CE. The game is well done with nice graphics and characters, and the HOs and puzzles were average, nothing new. Collecting globes is way too easy and morphing items in the HO games are simply found. I've liked the other games in the Hidden Expedition series, but still, the very first one years ago was the best and I do load and play it still today. Not sure if this will be better than the Smithsonian Expedition one, as it was kind of a let down, but I will find out as I'll get this one, just not sure if it will be CE or wait for the SE.
I recommend this game!

I give very few 5 Stars as I feel they are meant for something special, and based on the demo, this one is special. This game is a true Collector's Edition where even on the easiest level, I found myself having to utilize the Guide several times so it dos keep you on your toes. The graphics are stunning with awesome characters; just the visuals of this one is a treat. HOs are varied, nothing new, but difficult enough to be a challenge. Puzzles aren't overly used and enough difficulty to make you think, but so far, nothing I couldn't conquer. The story is not totally new, saving the princess from a terrible foe and a mysterious stranger who doesn't trust you but who is also trying to save the princess. Once I completed the demo, I couldn't push the BUY button soon enough and look forward to a Saturday afternoon of gameplay. I haven't been able to find many crowns or morphing items yet, but will continue the hunt. I believe you're going to enjoy this one and I highly recommend this CE version, don't wait for the SE.
I recommend this game!
