This looks like it's just for kids, but anyone who likes brick breaking games should try this. The story is that you are a scientist who is trying to collect animals that have been abandoned on several islands. There are aliens involved, but the story isn't really important.
Instead of a paddle, you guide Professor Fizzwizzle back and forth bouncing a bubble that increases in size for each animal or food item you collect. Larger animals need a larger sized bubble, so you have to break open crates of food or knock nuts and apples out of trees to get large enough to collect them. Catch 50 butterflies and you earn an extra life.
There are powerups to catch (not all of which are helpful) and many bonus levels. There are two levels of play Regular which is just the game, and Kids, which incorporates information about the animals you are catching. You can also earn trophies.
The cartoon graphics are well done and the sounds the various animals make when you bump into them are funny. This game has 180 levels, so it will take quite a while to finish, and it has a lot of replay value. This clever addicting game is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
I recommend this game!

Wandering Willows
Find, and nurture unique pets in a whimsical world full of surprises! New friends need your help with a variety of tasks!
You have crash landed on a deserted island and in order to fix your balloon, you must wander around the island and do errands for other people, some of whom are quite cranky, but amusing.
This is a game that doesn't really fit into any category. The fun in this game is exploring and collecting. As you complete tasks more of the island opens up for you. There are trophies to earn, people to meet and a friendly pet to help you along. There are many, many hours of play to this game.
Your very naive heroine Sandra is on vacation from college when she sees an ad for a contest. She answers and receives plane tickets to Beijing in the mail. You discover that she was orphaned in a car accident and has no memory of her childhood, and all clues to her identity were lost in a fire. She interacts with many people in her trip and they all give her things. They also mention a mysterious stranger who seems to know her that she keeps missing.
There are HOG scenes and puzzles all of which are very easy. Lots of sparkles and even a hint button, but I can't imagine needing it. The voiceovers are good, but long. (You can click through them to speed things up) Actually this is more of a interactive story than a game.
Like all Nevosoft games it only saves at the end of a chapter. They are very short, so this isn't as much of an annoyance as it could have been. There are 22 Chapters, each of which seem to take about 8 minutes.
After the first chapter I was going to trash this. It really is almost insultingly easy. However, there is something about the story that made me want to continue. They are the developers of Mushroom Age and Dreamland. There's a sense of humor about their games that I love. DD only though.
