Nope. I did play the demo but without Richard. I'll pass. I like the snarky dark evil dad. Mom is a snoozefest. Just took the fun out of it and honestly developers are NOT listening to their fans. Well they should because it's our money we are spending. Thanks for returning Rick Rogers but you got a few more to go!! and since Dorian is magical and immortal why isn't he used in these stories. Kind of like a supernatural hart to hart. no im not that old but I know who they are.

Let me start by saying i LOVED the game after this and the whole series up until Rick left but still I did play the rachael ones. I found myself wondering why I didn't remember this game and I own it. So I started playing it again today. About two hours in I remember WHY I stopped the first time. Oh good lord it is boring. And tedious. How many freaky dead alive dolls can you have in one game? I tried folks. I REALLY tried to get into it. I mean like I said I love the next one even though its kind of anticlimactic it's great!!! This one is an epic fail. So much going on at once in different rooms that make no sense. I want to like it. I just don't. I am sorry I bought it first. I highly recommend skipping this one and moving right on to the next. All you need to know is this: SPOILER ALERT!!!!! stick your fingers in your ears if you don't want to know. This Rick is from an alternate universe, and it COULD have been a great story if it wasn't all over the place. They need alternate Rick to get to the other one in the next game.

I loved the back and forth as there are not enough female leads honestly in these types of games imo. It's not over the top or silly. I love that the bonus has one of them and an entirely new case. Not some random story with different people. So it's like two games in one. I think the stories are decent. Some of the HOPs are a tad on the dark side and they could really do something about the in your face bright purple and blues.... But honestly it's one of my favorites. Also dont have to wait for hints/skip. I try not to use them but I'm an adult. if I need them I dont need to be told to wait 15 seconds if I hate a game. There's two games I just cant do. Nice to skip and not sit there feeling stupid. lol.
I loved these and I hope there are more. Randalls accent is a bit much. His sister doesn't have one at all.

I recommend but honestly get the CE for these four games for the bonus games and i never say that.

I really did try to like it. I restarted three times. But terrible story. Tedious. I mean just a pile of stuff to search through every three minutes. Never ending search through toys. Enough... Never have I ever seen a game with so many of those in the first twenty minutes. It gets annoying. No real puzzles just tons of searching for stuff in piles. I'll pass. Main character is not likable. Kind of an annoying twit. They made a Christmas elf unlikable. how sad. I absolutely do not recommend this game. I wish I could. It's Christmas.

Started out great. Loved it. Games were decent. Story was decent and i hadn't played the games the other reviewers were referring to. 3/4 of the game was fun. But then it just kind of got real boring. Also personally I think the villain got a raw deal. Seriously Cecelia was actually lied to by that prince and Marianna was her friend then they could have made a better story out of it. It was kind of disappointing. Because the story lacked i didnt do five stars but the game itself was pretty good and not super dark or repetitive. Not one zipper to fix thank god!!!
I recommend this game!

In all fairness I knew how it was going to end before I played the SE. In this case I think CE is worth it for the bonus chapter because its relatable. A lot are not.
I wish they explored Anna and Dorian a little more before this. We went from Anna is super young and meets a guy who she thought was a murderer to insta mom.
This story was well done. Graphics were good. I really enjoyed it. I can't stand ghost mom. SPOILER ALERT Ghost mom says goodbye at the end which made my day!! Can we have Richard back now? Do they read their reviews? The fans of this series are screaming for the dark sarcastic ex evil dad.
While I highly recommend this game i do recommend the Collector's Edition like I said for the bonus chapter alone.

I am not a super MCF fan like most of the reviewers here. Not at all. So I have a different perspective. Im not comparing it to others. I didnt hate it and I didn't love it. I thought it was pretty good but not great. It was pretty depressing. Dont expect a happy ending. But I though the games were okay and it was fun. Super long. I think people are always going to be disappointed if you over hype a game like this one was. Its a much darker take on Bloody Mary.
Some of the games and clues made no sense and didn't fit. Which always ticks me off. I'm not stupid so when a game throws me off and makes no sense it annoys me. As it should.
I am trying not to spoil too much but let me just say its really like no one is saved. Master detective my butt!! I was not happy. If you are looking for a happy ending this one is going to upset you. Yes you get to stop the ghost but save no one except the guy who's already dead.

HOWEVER I blow right past the little chats with moms ghost. Getting rid of Richard was a HUGE mistake. HUGE. Mom is whiny and boring. Developers need to listen to the folks playing these games. That character was fun. Mom is actually annoying.
So far the game story is very good and very interesting. Mini games are pretty good. I do recommend it but not happy with this dull mom ghost.
I recommend this game!

Huge fan of the New York Mysteries and was wicked excited about this game. But honestly I found it tedious and boring.
The first two chapters drag on and on puzzle after boring puzzle a lot of which were not great and you'd have to be psychic to get a few without hints. Third chapter is over in a New York Minute and is SUPER easy. Zero challenge.
I know developers put a ton of work into this game but I have to be honest. I was bored and disappointed. The story was mediocre at best. They could have made it so much better. Oh and you can't do the bonus unless you collect the morphing objects? ah no. I would NOT pay full price and I did not because of points. (Actually so bummed out. I thought the other four were very good} This didnt have much imagination to it. Like where is Noah? Why is the house trashed. How did Harry know how to find Laura? Just boom he was there. They could have made it so much better but they didn't make the effort.

I've played and enjoyed most of the whispering secrets games but I had to force myself to finish this. From the whiney journalist who just complains so much i had to shut off the volume to horrible clues that made no sense and a terrible story. It was god awful. I really do like this series but this one was probably the very worst game i've ever played on Big Fish
I don't recommend this game.
