Story was interesting. TOO many puzzles. It gets aggravating when you can't move on because of too many. HOPS were okay but even those. Silhouettes...coin is same size as blow up pool ring....deceptive..just an example. Lots of that. it's not clever...it's annoying. I'm not done yet but took a break because it's aggravating when they purposely do things that don't make any sense.]
Normally I love this series and as I said I do like the story. Graphics are amazing too. Just hate false and deceptive clues.
Oh so not worth CE price. Poor collectables. But when it comes out as an SE....absolutely. Just be aware clues aren't remotely obvious.

Story was okay but question where mom is unanswered. Was a little twist that was good. Graphics were good. Bonus was a continuation, which I love.
What I don't love is the illogical. Can't use tape for fixing a lawnmower. You have to STAPLE gun a full-size wooden cane to a metal shaft. NO ..in real life. That wouldn't work but that's the kind of ridiculous thing they want. Not a nail gun which also wouldn't work but a small staple gun,So it's aggravating when you do the logical thing and they say not my best idea or something silly like that. So so very much of that. Too much. That was one example. Clues that should not be clues. Can't pick up things until they are good and ready for you to pick it up. Actually, a lot of games do this to be fair.
Not worth collectable price but the SE maybe. Just obviously still annoyed that things that should not work are the answer. It's not enjoyable that way. I hope that makes sense,

I liked the main game. Some of clues games were a bit preschoolish but all in all a good game. NOT WORTH CE PRICE. What collectables? I'm not paying for it again with this series. Rick is a good character and the game is decent as an SE game. Also Bonus was terrible. I didn't even finish it. Too "busy." A lot of guessing and pretty boring. I recommend as a SE. I do not recommend as a CE. Just not worth it. Gave it four stars for the main game only.

I did like this game. I do think there were way too many puzzles. Not really a HOG at all which is a bummer.
Story was decent. Was hoping scary granny went a little more off the rails. That first playback was creepy!! Loved it. More of that please. As I said too many puzzles. They get annoying and tedious after a bit. Especially if it is a good story like this was and you want it to move along. I skipped many after a while. Just too many. I haven't done the bonus yet. I hear it has nothing to do with the main story, so I probably won't. Also, not worth collectible price. They have to do better with those. Story was boring. Little clues and match ups made no sense. Games were tedious and too many. Collectables not worth it. I don't think I've disliked a game this much...ever. It made zero sense. Struggling story line. Just awful. I think I got three quarters through and done. Couldn't deal with it.
Also I don't care WHY those little stars are there. They are ridiculous. People don't like them, and the developers don't listen.
Liked other games in this series actually but this was awful. Just a story that didn't make much sense thrown together. if i could get my money back I would.

I love the character of Richard. But as the dark snarky ghost. Not this. Like the relationship with Anna. They are a team. I'm fond of this team. Looks like most are. Do the developers listen to what people want? They keep fixing what isn't broken. Getting rid of richard to begin with was awful. Just like the Paranormal files Rick Rogers debacle. Horrible storyline getting rid of him for years. And Haunted hotel/detectives united. Got rid of James. Trashing TWO series and introducing scenarios and characters that no one likes. Why do they do this? Why ruin what was good? Do they lack the imagination to come up with story lines for our favorite characters? So get rid of them and start over ..ticking off all fans. Oh and making the games shorter with the same old cliche must find a pin or butter/greasy stuff to open a zipper etc.... and collectables that are no challenge and no one wants.
Fans are screaming at these developers and not being heard. They're going to stop spending hard earned money on games that are not worth it.

I'm so happy to have a game without silly stars and fairy tales. Love Mystery Trackers. I think they removed it to fix the glitch so that's good. I like it. I like they kept Amber and didn't use the kids. (so far anyway) I played the beta and loved it. I don't love the puzzles. They are not explained well. Only complaint. And since they are fixing that bonus issue it's not a problem.
But at first, I had issues even picking things up. Seems to be okay now. Looking forward to finishing the game.

Those silly stars for obvious and moral decisions. Are we in kindergarten? No!! People have told these developers we hate them, and no one listens. Cute game. Slow and some serious back and forth. Way too much. not worth collectable price. Not very impressive.
Good for beginners though.

It's a good game so far. Just did the demo and I remember the beta. Graphics are great, Voices are great. David Blackthorne. Not a fan of this change. ZERO personality. James had a sense of humor. Character was witty and fun. Long time players of haunted hotel know what I'm talking about. Disappointing replacement. And why is he basically floating. That actually was distracting.
Other than that, its good but not worth a CE price. Not enough collectables and no challenge to find.
Four stars based on the game and story. But David the dud is awful...and wont buy it. I'll wait for the SE or a sale.
