Bravo!! Midnight Mysteries meets the Art of Murder. Only for me, much more playable than the Art of Murder games. You play along with psychic FBI agent Angelica Weaver ( who by the way is appropriately dressed and actually looks like she could be an FBI agent) tracking a copy cat serial killer. Her "visions" happen quickly and can sometimes make you jump. There are collectables...70 badges as well as dreamcatchers which earn you hints. Just the right amount HO scenes. Really great graphics and really well done VO's. The hunt takes you back 100 years to the original case and to some NYC back alleys in the present . There are several suspects and you gather clues on each. The hint system is quite helpful and the whole game is really engaging and holds your interest all the way through. I would absolutely want to solve more cases with this agent. Really well done game without being over the top with violence or gore. I highly recommend this one.

This was quite a good game and I enjoyed it. I bought it on a two for one so I was not too concerned that there was not a single extra but if you paid full price you might be. The graphics are beautiful, the storyline kind of standard (a witch stealing youth) and it was a good length. There were collectables and abilities that were fun. Several mini games and lots of interaction with both the witch and her victims. Quite a bit of adventure play and many HO scenes. So I liked it.. but not even a wallpaper never mind an extra chapter. So the SE would be just the same.

The graphics in this game are gorgeous (like all of them) and the music downright meditative. However I soon realized I was going to have to turn the music down and put on my thinking cap to make any headway in this game. I loved all the puzzles. I just wish the instructions for those puzzles were in the main game and not in the SG. It did become a tad annoying going back and forth to figure out what to do. I also found that going from all the English accents to a skull with a new york one kind of odd and the scatter brained drunken pirate named Jack looked awfully familiar. However the game was long and beautiful. There were a good variety of HO scenes and just a ton of puzzles and mini games. I really like the rays that sparkle when you complete each one.Tons of inventory objects and all kinds of interaction with all kinds of creatures. Very engaging, lots of magic, some challenge in the inventory objects and a good continuation of the story. There were achievements to achieve and a good extra chapter again with lots of thought provoking puzzles. Really enjoyed this one despite some minor annoyances at the lack of direction. If you like a relaxing game with lots of magic and puzzles try this one. I might even replay this one some day.

I really enjoyed this game as I did the first. The drawing is really beautiful. The scenes are bright, colorful and detailed. I love the fairy and the new little baby dragon. I have fun with their abilities, especially the bonking and breaking of things. The mini games were quite original (coloring tatoos etc) and there was plenty to do. Loved the evil laughing puppets and just basically the whole game. For sure a good way to spend a few hours. I would buy the next installment in a flash. Compared to a lot of the game out there, in this series the creators have put a lot of thought, effort and time into making it detailed and engaging. I haven't played very many other games where you have animated companions and that are drawn this well. Good game and can't wait for the next one. I even bought the CEs of both these two which I almost never do. I gave it four stars only because I thought the only thing this game lacked was anything unexpected. Nothing made me jump in my chair and it followed a predictable pattern. But that pattern was quite good.

I had a kind of odd experience with this game. It's almost as if they had several different artist working on it with completely different styles. The best example is when you finally open the cemetary gates and step from a sparsely colored town into a lush green very detailed cemetary. This happens many times throughout the game and was sometimes a real distraction for me. Otherwise I found the game somewhat ordinary.. not really in a bad way just that it is right up there with other games of this genre. . The HO scenes are list based, numerous and repeat. The storyline is of a curse that is used as a cover for crimes. Find the murderer. I found the game play quite enjoyable... lots of inventory objects and you cover a lot of ground in this one. You ride cable cars, blow up walls and there is even an underwater scuba diving adventure. So it was a good, rather wierdly drawn, enjoyable game. Not outstanding but not poorly done either. I would say satisfactory...3.5 maybe?

I bought this game with zero expectations and was quite surprised. After overcoming a few glitchy things.. like figuring out that nothing in your inventory or anything else can be accessed while dialogue is up for example, I found this game very entertaining. A decent story with a good amount of chapters (8) and a lot of interaction with a cast of characters. My one peeve was that none of the mini games had any instructions what so ever. geez. But there was some good adventure style play with inventory objects, a ton of HO scenes and even collectibles along the way that increased your hints. The story flowed well and there were some good cut scenes at the end. It was way more than I had expected and I really enjoyed it. Enough that I may just buy and play the first in this series.

OMG.. for me.. this developer does a lot of things right. Bright, loads of color and beautiful artwork. Lots of drama in this one both with the music and storyline. You're a psychic asked to enter a girl's mind who is commatose. Awesome story developement.. loved having both the narrator guy who spoke on and off throughout and the nurse monotoring her symptoms in the "real" world. Not overly loaded with HO scenes but the ones that were there were crisp, clean and easy to see. There were collectables that then allow you to buy items to decorate your office. I always love games that give you real extras..not concept art etc. There are also achievements to achieve. Tons of locales and inventory objects, great length, good map and hint system. And last but not least.. the mini games. Wow.. loved the beating heart jig saw, the star constellations and a move the magnet one that repeated several times. There were many others but too many to list. Some extra ones also. after you were done. The only draw back I could see with this game was that the lips often didn't match the dialogue. But for me all the rest was sooo good that I hardly cared. And that does happen sometimes when you use real people Try the demo on this one for sure !!

I found this game to be a bit average. it really didn't have anything that was new or refreshing. It does have some good artwork and there was more interactive stuff in the HO scenes that I liked. But for me at least.. the same old story of the experiment gone wrong and the crazy who wants all the power. .yawn.. was just not enough to win me over. This was a nice kill an afternoon or two type game but not overly original. Good HO's, some pretty graphics and kind odd an anti climactic ending. This one is kind of short and simple but okay as games go

This one misses out on five stars from me. Don't get me wrong I really liked this game. It was a very good package, great length, lots of really beautiful non repeating HO scenes, gorgeous locations and quite a good story. However i was disappointed not to see a single collectible which is something that Elephant games usually includes in their package. Loved the cat helper and the puppet narrator. Even the hint system was represented with a lovely huge flower. It had a great jump map that also outlined the tasks in each location, eliminating the need for a journal. Of course I buy all the games by this developer, enjoy them all and will continue to do so., I just wish they had included a collectable or achievements or something. Great story about a little boy and a demon who is trying to steal his youthful energy. Good VO's and special effects. Overall wonderfully entertaining game. I really liked it.

This was another in the okay catagory for me. Bought the CE on a sale. The atmosphere was very nice, graphics good and there were plenty of locales. I particularly liked the firey one. Lots of inventory items and plenty of HO scenes. But I felt that the storyline was very predictable and somewhat flat. When the villan did his big speach my first thought was .. what the heck was that? His lips didn't match, the VO was robotic and the dialogue was quite ridiculous. I guess despite a really great opening, I just didn't buy into the story that much. However I liked the artwork, the hint system was good, the SG was helpful when needed and it did have a story complete with the blackbird with the terrible voice that followed you around. I thought that it could have used the addition of some bells and whistles like collectables or achievements. I would say that for me, this was a good.. not great game. Worth an afternoon or two but not one that would stand out from other games. Maybe 3.5?
