I'm always very skeptical about "free" games. But this one is a lot of fun (if you like HOGs). Even when you get to the highest level at a place, they'll change the scene so you can start again. The items also are moved around.
However, I will say that there is one thing that is extremely frustrating: - The amount of gold you get is tiny (usually only 30-50 coins for each completed task). However, your costs run up a lot faster: -- To get rid of obstacles (fog, darkness, frost, hurricanes), the cost is 200 coins (per scene). And they pop up with annoying regularity. -- For goals of catching escaped prisoners, mummies and zombies, the cost is 1500 coins each time! So it's very easy to run out of money quickly.
So if you're willing to put up with the obstacles, try to save your coins for catching the various escapees.

I love the characters in this story, and the artwork is such fun. It's not your typical HOG, that's for sure. It's more an adventure game, where you have to find things to achieve goals. The challenges aren't too hard and there are a variety of games to play. I had a lot of fun playing this game. Looking forward to a "Witch's Revenge" sequel.. ;o)

HOS are varied and not too often. Lots of different tasks to fulfill and choices to make (there are a couple of times when you will have to decide which way to go in the game - I only went through once, but it does suggest that you can choose a different way the next time).
One criticism: Instructions for games weren't very helpful and sometimes it takes quite a few tries to correctly place objects or put things together.
Bonus game is a good length and ties together with the original game story.

I love puzzle games. I hated this one. The "dialogue" is poorly written and long (you have to click through because it doesn't give you much info anyway).
I drew the line when, while solving the puzzle, I kept getting "Exelent!" shown on the screen. Sorry, but if you're not going to bother spelling such a basic word correctly, I'm not wasting my time.
The other short puzzles were ridiculously easy. But I wouldn't recommend this to children, either, since they could learn poor grammar and bad spelling.
Could have been a good game, but it's repetitive and dull.
I don't recommend this game.

This game is built to force you to spend money. I hate that sort of manipulation.
You get a finite amount of balls, which you run out of easily (if trying to get stars), and you can only get a small increase of money if you replay.By level 5, I was already being informed that "oops - you ran out of balls - but you can always get more!!" - which, of course were priced out of my virtual $$ range, so it immediately, helpfully, sent me to an in game purchase screen.

I love Sally's Salon. I was hoping to love this one, too, since we don't get many time management games any more (and could use a break from all the dark and gloomy tales)...
You can't make Stella move any faster, and there are too few upgrades. Customers walk in with no starts - it's up to you to build them. Unfortunately, it seems to be haphazard as to how to earn them, so some get 3 and others 5 and some 2,etc.

Looks like it's for children, but they'd be even more confused than I am! I don't have a medical degree, and this game doesn't even give you anywhere to check. It says it unlocks diagnoses, but you can't get to them, so it's guesswork, at best. You can't restock in the middle of the day, so if you run out, you're stuck.

I don't need to echo the comments already made about the frustration of having to gather 'crystals' and get past some chapters. I hate it when you can't chain events.
Having to wait for the worker to actually enter the house for the event to become clickable is stupid.
Way too much work for a 'game'. I'll stick with Royal Envoy!

I have to agree with a lot of other reviewers here.
- Having to pick up objects multiple times is irritating - so much running around! - Things pop up everywhere and you have to be really careful to see where they are - I prefer objectives shown and checked off - Some of the 'bridges' are just piles of wood - even when finished!
And, finally, while I know the developers were trying to be creative with the "floating" islands, I think that makes more sense in an adventure or HOG, not time management.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. I don't like straight HOGs, and this one isn't. The HO scenes that exist require interacting with the objects, and aren't junk piles. There is a lot to do, and the characters are great (especially the animals!).
