Other reviewers have said it better, so please read them. This little opus is well written, very well drawn by hand, and scary as heck. Traversing this game is a joy- it gives you everything you need but the HOPs and Puzzles themselves are challenging. Congratulations to the developer, well done! If only more HOAG were like this...and it's six years old!!! Don't think twice- buy it. You will not be disappointed! OH, and it does have a map as the playing area is a good size. :-)

No ghosts, no kidnapped siblings, no saving the world- just fascinating American history with a bit of artistic license. I adore this series- the graphics are bar none astoundingly good, story line sold and engrossing. This hold's a special place in my heart as my great great uncle's uniform hangs in the Smithsonian. He was a captain with Teddy Roosevelt's Rough riders and the first to die on San Juan Hill. His horse was shot out from under him and he carried on the charge on foot with only a pistol- his rifle was still saddled to his dead horse. His Name was Allyn K. Capron in case you want to look it up. President Roosevelt wrote of him in his memoirs. Great game, Eipix and Big Fish- brings a tear to my eye.
You’re on a train in the middle of nowhere, and a band of dangerous thieves demand you tell them where to find the Hope Diamond’s shards. As the newest Hidden Expedition recruit, you’ve got to find the shards before they do…

After playing games like Apothecary and Fright (among several other brilliant games, few as it may be) it becomes difficult to find games that reach that superlative level where the player must become immersed in the story and literally put in the work in order to complete the adventure. So many players just dive in, don't care, just want to finish...little thought required. That's why so many of the new games of the adventure genre are disappointing...except this! Love the history, the story line, the graphics aren't above and beyond but they are definitely enjoyable. The HOGs are actually fun (and I dislike them intensely lol). The puzzles are lots of fun- if you have patience you can get it done. Love the "Info Cards"! This is literally American history, friends, with a little artistic license added. If you are tired of dwarves, dragons, and specters do yourself a favor and grab this gem!
I recommend this game!

Rarely do we see these hidden object/adventure games done with live actors...that are actually GOOD! This game is outstanding, the HOGs are very different (thank God!), the puzzles are challenging and the story grabs you the moment you start. Again, I am very impressed with the actors. This is definitely more of an adventure game (YAY!!). Do yourself a favor...grab this up! It's immersive, suspenseful, and requires thought. Oh my, imagine that! :-)

This is a terrific game. Graphics are gorgeous and look to be hand drawn. Very atmospheric. Storyline was very solid with excellent continuity. Big playing area and no map- so no hand holding here and be prepared to put in your time, although the SG definitely helps at times. Puzzles were definitely challenging and lots of fun- the devs were kind enough to toss in one or two easy ones so I felt a little better about myself lol. Even though this game is nine years old it can definitely be held to today's standards and higher! Great job! Really enjoyed this!

Don't look for anything deep here- I mean we're talking about Leprechauns. I'm playing another game that deals with ancient aliens, so don't look for that kind of depth in this game. But, it's still lots of fun- terrific graphics, befitting ambient music, Irish accents that are believable enough. The HOGs aren't annoying nor are they junk piles, The puzzles- which I love -are fun and just thought provoking enough. I love the collectibles and morphs- easy enough to find. This is just a fun game- light and airy and a great way to spend time gaming when your brain is just a little too tired after the hunt for the pot o' gold. I am enjoying this game- a good turn for Friends 4 Games. I've always enjoyed their Dark City series...and this little leprechaun is no different! :-)

I am not a fan of these cookie cutter, churn-'em-out as fast as you can new games. I like the older games, true adventure gaming, But this is a beauty by Eipix. Graphics are very well done and completely immersible and atmospheric. Puzzles are great fun and the HOG's are (thank God, cuz I hate 'em) actually enjoyable! Eipix did a great job on this. Solid storyline. Being able to do 360 degrees in a 3D environment to find goodies and solve situations would make it even better- like the older games! Thanks Eipix! About time!
I recommend this game!

Back in the day, PC adventure games had no HOGs. You could circumnavigate 360 degrees. There were no hints, no journals...you adventured! This game comes darned close to those true PC adventure games...as is justified by it's age. The cookie-cutter adventure games of today are so depressing- the same thing all the time...and I mean ALL THE TIME! You really have to dig in these Big Fish pages to find the gems- and that is an adventure itself. Having been a PC adventure gamer for over 20 years, I so appreciate Big Fish for including the 'old school' because it's so much better than the 'new school'. It's like comparing Disney's Snow White to Scooby Doo. Now, if Big Fish could just find the Schottenjaeger series!!
I recommend this game!

The Myst series, Frankenstein, the Schattenyeager (sp- sorry) series and the Syberia adventure games were probably the best adventure games even though by today's standards they would be considered obsolete. Not true! Today's cookie cutter adventure games can't compare to the quality of those brilliant challenging games...and this game of Adera harkens back to those games. I played the first of the Myst series in 1995- the story line, graphics and game play were outstanding! Adera is very close to the outstanding quality of those early adventure games. Explore this world of Adera!
