I bought this game immediately upon release in support of Ukraine and GrandMa. Just playing it now. OMG so well done! Collectables are hard to spot (well blended). Games are not frustrating, so I didn't skip any (rare for me). HO's are inventive. Nothing cookie cutter about this game!
I watched the credits & the developers are mostly women. Yay!!!
I bought every GrandMa game in the big BFG portfolio. I hope you do too!
I beta tested this game and I loved it so much I bought the original. The original plays fine on my Windows !0 PC. Just click the aspect ratio and the game fills the screen of my 21" monitor (I have a less than 1 year old Dell all in one computer), I loved Drawn so much That I also bought the 2nd and 3rd episodes. I will also buy Re-Drawn because it gives an enhanced experience!
I don't understand the high ratings for this game. The visuals are poor and instructions on how to play are inadequate. I played through using up most of the trial. I wouldn't waste a free game coupon on this one. So many other better M3 games available on Big Fish.
I was prepared not to like this game because I loathed the game preceding this one. I actually bought this game soon after its release because I own every other MCF game. I just got around to playing the game now. So I am late to the party as far as reviews. BUT this is a true MCF game. Graphics are reminiscent of the older games. Collectables are not easy to spot. HOPA's require thought. Story makes sense. CE is so worth the additional cost. Keep an open mind and don't be like me (judging without trying)!
This game has it all: match 3, adventure, strategy, good mechanics. I played it through twice. 1st time relaxed and 2nd time "normal." Loved it so much, that I had to try the original. The original is great also. Playing the original Cave Quest showed how creative and thoughtful the developer is. Kudos!!
I tried Cursed House 7 in the past, and got confused so I didn't give it a fair chance. So when Cursed House 9 came out I decided to download the trial. I loved it and before you know it I had used up the trial. A definite buy for me. I went back and re-tried Cursed House 7. Now I understand. I had my "Helen Keller" moment! Love this game!
I really am enjoying this game. I use it as a restore my brain after playing HO's. Solitaire hands (1 up/1 down) lead you through your journey. The HO puzzle is cluttered, find the item. Good game to relax.
I got the CE for free during a recent BOGO promotion. I've decided to try games even if reviews were less than stellar. I still plan to do this. The trial seemed okay so I picked it as the free game. I think teens would be offended by how they are portrayed. I got 2 error violations while playing the main portion of the game (the SE part). Went out and then back in so I was able to continue playing. The end was anticlimactic but sufficient, Not worth the extra price for the CE. The collectibles are minor league. The morphs are obvious. The puzzle pieces were a silly addition. The mini games were simplistic.
I don't recommend this game.

I bought this game when it was originally released on BF. Deleted it because I found it too confusing. I recently replaced my old reliable Win 7 computer with a new touch screen with OS Win 10 Home. Difference? More current technology changed my opinion. I like this game. No such much a HO, more an adventure game. Hint is very helpful. Not simplistic. Objective is clear. Big file game but worth the space on your hard drive.
Everyone has different tastes. I rate this game above average overall. Some parts are much better than average. I think MH is trying to mix it up. It's not a fantasy and it's not an adventure game. Goal is crystal clear, who and why are members of one wealthy family being serially murdered. The shell that burps purple goo (there is an indicator letting you know when it should be consulted) helps you determine who is a suspect and why.
Transportable map, puzzles that were in line with the story (and not mind numbing), hints do direct you (but don't tell you what to do). Characters are drawn to look like real people and in parts live actors are used.
Try it for yourself before deciding that you don't like. That's what I did and it was the right decision. I liked this game.
