Who in their right mind does that anyway? Anna Gray, of course!! But I will say, in this game, I hated the skull as my "helper" and Richard Gray's voice could not have been more annoying. It seemed much harder for me to understand this time. Has it always been so "garbled"?
The story was intriguing and Ladies in White usually have a good ghost tale attached to their death, at least in the books I have read. So I'm anxious to see the whole story unfold. Plus, except for a few, Grim Tales have always provided a quality game with enough entertainment to satisfy my needs.
Didn't care much for the demo though. There were so many things to unlock and so many misplaced keys and emblems. I was worried not enough time would be left for enjoying the game, but it finally came together.
The graphics were just okay which usually they are much better. This time they were more like a comic book in some parts, but it didn't distract from the game. The color was very good and the scenery wasn't dismal, but typical of boarding schools. I imagine this one has secret doors and passages since it was once a mansion in it's bygone days.
I appreciated the simple jump map. There were 4 game modes from which to choose. I think that is a great thing, because then everyone can enjoy the game, no matter what your skill level. I personally love it so I can adjust the hint and skip reload times.
The puzzles were good, just a few in the demo, and they were not too difficult. I think there was one that slowed me down a little. Surprisingly, the HOPs were nothing special and held no challenge, at least for me, but they were still fun.
There was an average amount of extras including morphs, emblems to collect and a secret room. I did not see any morphs in the demo, maybe they were difficult to spot in this game. I always love having the bonus chapter, especially if it ties in well with the main story.
I love Elephant Games and the Anna Gray investigations. This will be a purchase when another good sale pops up.

It starts out happily, then suddenly Ursula crashes the festivities and gets crazy. The angry sorceress puts a slow death curse on Tess, the new bride, and kidnaps the groom. He is Count Darren Gray whom Ursula is blaming for the death of her fiancé, Oliver. He and Darren were boar hunting and Oliver was accidently killed.
Tess is no cream puff and she is out to rescue her husband! Nothing can stop her or scare her off from what I have seen in the demo. Ursula has some mean tricks up her sleeve and some devilish minions to do her dirty work. One of them is especially irritating! When the demo stopped, Tess and Ursula's father were at sea, on their way to rescue Darren. The action was good so far with some adventure thrown in for good measure.
The graphics were gorgeous, colors were beautiful, interesting scenery. I thought the voiceovers were excellent. The game had no helpers in the demo, but did have a very useful tool that came in handy during my allotted time.
I had fun with the puzzles, they were not very difficult. The HOGs were especially well done and interactive. None of them were tucked away in irritating little hiding places, but were still hidden enough to create a nice little challenge. And I didn't have to deal with an overload of locks and keys during my 90 minutes.
Seems like this will be a very good game and not slow-pokey like a lot of them are. Should be good entertainment for everyone, and fun for all levels of players with the 4 game modes that are available. I really enjoyed the demo.
Would love to see Ursula and Tess go at it, both being so uptight over the dire situation in both their lives. Being a Club Member, I will wait for a better sale to come along before purchasing. Looking forward to a worthwhile game!
Unless the last glimmer of childhood fantasy has left you, this heartwarming story should be a delight. It has the feel of an old fashioned fairytale filled with charm and beauty. Observing the forest through the minds and eyes of the its little inhabitants adds something a bit different and special.
I loved everything and I think it will appeal to anyone who loves animals or fictional creatures. I think children will also enjoy this game. The graphics, for me, were so appealing. Beautiful scenery and colors. The tiny characters were sweet to just look at.
Max, our little hero, is in "battle" with the bad guy to save Brie, the wonderful little forest haven, Mouse Kingdom. A fun game with lots of puzzles and HOGs, they were very enjoyable and offered different levels of challenge. A decent amount of extras were also fun.
I believe Tiny Tales is a much needed change from our usual fare and will be fun for children and adults. The game ran very smoothly, no problems at all. A very positive experience, it didn't take long to decide to purchase! I own very few SPECIAL games, this one will be at the top.

What deliciously gorgeous puzzles! The colors and designs cause a very wonderful reaction to my visual senses!
There are a variety of different levels, 4 hints if you get stuck and the puzzles can be played in relaxed mode. As you progress through the game, you are taken to other countries via each level you unlock. There is no penalty for placing an incorrect piece, and the game has a nice feature that helps you out with your fun. I like this convenient little bit of assistance.
This beautiful game is quite different than the other puzzles offered to us. Maybe this is a sign of more wonderful creations to come. I highly recommend. Thanks BFG!

You are startled out of a nightmare that felt very real. You have an urgent sense that your brother Patrick may be in danger. As a detective you have your 1st (personal) order of the day, find Patrick! As you open your door to leave, a little girl is standing there with a package "from Patrick", an assortment of his belongings. Then she just simply vanishes and at that moment your long, dangerous adventure begins.
You earn the very good map early on, and your task book shows up right after demo starts, and there is a special pair of glasses. So now you have some important tools to help you on your quest.
The entire demo moved along at a nice pace so you were able to make some good progress in finding clues and getting to your first destination. The investigation got me caught up in the mystery quickly and I was uneasy at times due to the surrounding air of danger and spiritual darkness. There were a few times when a shadow figure passed by the window and that was disturbing. HOWEVER, what had me jumping like a jack-in-the-box was that crazy pop-up that darted onto the left of my screen each time I earned an achievement! Being unaware that I earned one, I wasn't prepared for the big, loud announcement every time, LOL!
I absolutely loved the HOGs. They were fun, challenging and unique. The games were very good and could skip them if you wish. I found them very entertaining and the challenge was good. They could also be played in easy or hard mode. There was an alternative Match 3 for those who do not like the HOGs.
The custom mode was available to us and the hint and skip could be reduced to 15 seconds. The graphics were perfectly perfect, IMO, and the color was excellent for the characters and background. Each scene was full of creepiness and the music was intense, adding to that feeling. The characters were all beautifully done. Excellent job, but Patrick's voice was not so excellent and didn't match his persona...at least not to my ears.
I liked the ample collection of extras. The collectibles were not too difficult to find. I located a satisfying number of them. Also earned some achievements, but not sure what they represented because the banner both popped out and left so quickly, I was unable to read it.
The 90 minute demo felt more like 30, that usually indicates an above average game going at a good pace.
Although it was a very good solid story with promise of lots of entertainment, I have reservations about purchasing. We have seen a disturbing number of very dark, unsettling themes to our Big Fish Games for a long time now. It has become the norm, but this game went into a darker territory that delves into a touchy spiritual area. Stealing souls and eliminating people whether they are good or bad, for whatever reason, makes me very uncomfortable. I know this has been done before in games, but this one just went too far iinto the darkness for me. But of course, there are many gamers who will really enjoy it and have a great time on this journey to find Patrick and others.
I love rebuilding and solitaire, so this game was a good choice for me. It doesn't offer much challenge, but isn't short on fun. It has been a long time without a satisfactory solitaire game. I love having a female save the day in a Western adventure and I think Shannon and her friend, Red Wolf, will soon have everything ship-shape in a bustling new settlement.
I haven't played a Match 3 yet, but if it earns extra gold, I'm all for it. There is a good assortment of upgrades to buy, some a little pricey, but I'm in no hurry....this shop is open all the time! I also love earning achievements to satisfy my personal challenges.
The sound effects are somewhat annoying to me and the dialogue seems to leave the screen too quickly. There's lots to read before the next level pops up. Other than these minor negatives, I find Solitaire Chronicles very pleasing and I'm a big fan of Pioneer/Old West history. The game does provide some interesting facts, I just have to read a little faster!
and it was impressive in the demo, but still won't catch ME there. I found the game to be pretty easy but that didn't make a negative difference. The games and HOGs were very entertaining, especially enjoyed the HOGs which were of average challenge and a little different.
The color and graphics were fantastic, perfect really, and the characters were very realistic. The story caught my attention right away, as other reviewers mentioned monsters, phobias and other horrors lurking throughout the game. Those things added to a haunted hotel, have to create a really creepy scenario! I did feel some uneasiness while playing because of a few things I saw, so I suspect a whole lot more in the game's entirety.
I know it is only a game, but for the life of me, I don't understand how someone can walk into a place like that for ANY REASON! And I wanted to shake some sense into Steven Blake, like crazy, about his friend who kept repeating things like a broken robot!!
Such informative reviews can be found under the CE Version, I think I will leave the details there for you to discover, as not much more to offer here with just the demo to go by. Don't know which version I will buy, but if a really good sale comes up, I would love to have the strategy guide. I'm looking forward to a chilling good time, whichever version I choose!
I really liked this uncomplicated game about Alex, an attorney, whose girlfriend breaks it off suddenly and 3 yrs later calls him for help after being arrested for murder. This gets Alex involved in a murder case revolving around some important documents and a crooked hotshot in a big company. Everyone seems to be suspect but there is a helpful dossier that provides helpful info during the investigation
Downtown Secrets has no voice-overs or physical action but it didn't matter. The dialogue was easy to read and the characters were interesting enough just "posing." None of these missing elements diminished the quality of the game.
The graphics were decent, they were clear, well drawn...but everything was small. With this being a HOG, the items were sometimes crazy-small. But with a magnifying glass and the hint button, you're good to go! The hints reload quickly. You never run out of hints and there is no click penalty. I had to use my magnifier only a couple of times. The challenge of smaller objects to locate is always a big plus for me, so I had lots of fun.
There were a few unique features to the game which added more interest to the HO scenes, including a nifty ring that enabled Nick to view past events. This provided him with more clues to work with and showed him who played a part in the murder, which of course proved his girlfriend's innocence.
It is a good game, for a coupon purchase or BOGO sale.

so this big sissy will be content with this exciting game instead. Stories involving jungles always provide a lot of danger and adventure, with some sort of treasure or exotic creation as the reason for the journey. This one has a miracle-producing flower that becomes deadly if it falls into the wrong hands.
I think the game will be a winner based on what I've seen so far. Others have already provided so much description, my account of it would just be an echo. So, I'll just share a little of what pleased me and gave me 90 minutes of enjoyment.
The graphics were amazing with a multitude of beautiful things to see and hear that awakened my interest even more, especially with the addition of beautiful wildlife to enhance the scenery. The colors were rich and realistic, adding more depth to the entire look of the surroundings.
Everything was perfect for my taste in games. I enjoyed the characters, all done very well and I loved the little monkey. He was quite real looking, but I may have trouble adjusting to an assistant who doesn't annoy me to death! In the demo he was pretty quiet and well-behaved.
More mini games than usual in this demo. I didn't have trouble with any of them. Loved them all. The HOGs were great and I liked the variety. I always like the interactive ones best. The abundance of collectibles was a nice surprise. I'm looking forward to collecting them ALL, wish me luck!
I had a busy, satisfying adventure with the demo, will purchase with today's sale. I highly recommend this game for any skill level; And it really offers the "bang for the buck!"

It is an amazing hidden object game with a little murder mystery going on, too. I have been in HOG Heaven!
This game is bizarre, hilarious, silly, crazy. It is FUN, challenging, colorful, interesting, amazing. It is quirky to the moon and back and overflowing with all kinds of stuff to find and the challenge is great. That's why I love it! Never have I played such an entertaining HOG. The characters are real people, the dialogue is funny. There are cute cut-outs on the map, especially the guy standing at the street sign. Just click the sign or him for a little laugh.
I am just simply unable to give a fitting description of this game in brief detail. You will either love it or hate it. And I do not recommend for children. If you are like me and aren't afraid to try something different, just jump in and have a blast if you LOVE HOGs and can enjoy a spin into the unusual. Great purchase with coupon or a good sale.
