Well, based on the demo, I really liked the game. I have all the other Lost Lands and will add this one with today's sale.
Cassandra has awakened from a potion-induced sleep after 500 yrs, so I imagine Maaron pulled a big boo-boo by giving her this little nightcap. She's definitely not in a good mood!
This game, IMO, has some unsavory subject matter going on. But it is just a make-believe story after all, so I ignore those things and focus on the tasks at hand and have fun with the game. I have done so with others when the game was too good to toss. This may put me at the bottom of the totem pole, but I can't help liking the Lost Lands series.
Susan and Fiora team up in the beginning of the game and are running from a big, ugly arachnoid. Arachnoids are roaming the empty towns looking for more victims. These critters are extremely aggressive and hate other races. They arrived from the Lost Lands parallel world and can understand and speak the language of Lost Lands. That is all I will share with you from the demo. Don't want to give away too much,
The characters were very life-like in appearance and movement. The voices were very natural and flowing, not stiff and jerky, the lip-sync was really good. I thought the graphics were excellent, not blurry. The demo mostly took place at night but the colors were good and the scenery was very interesting.
I always like the storyline of Lost Lands. The games/puzzles here were challenging depending on which game mode you choose. For demos I always choose custom if available, to quicken the game via the easier play settings. And I reduced the hint and skip to 5 seconds in this game. The puzzles still had good challenge. The HOPs were a little different and l enjoyed them. There was a good assortment of collectibles and extras, and the ever popular morphing objects.
The looks of a game could be prehistoric for all I care, as long as it provides a good time and runs with no tech problems. This one was just fine in those categories.
I know our reliable fellow fishies will fill us in on everything else with their wonderfully detailed reviews. That's why I enjoy doing a shorter version just to get my opinion out there. I truly appreciate the informative reviews. They are so helpful, I cannot shop without them. So, thank you everyone!
But the return is so rewarding. I just really love Avalon Legends Solitaire! The devs know what makes solitaire lovers happy. The previous 2 games are lovely as well.
Avalon Legends 3 has 250 levels of relaxing high/low game fun. Lots of good power-ups, those familiar "blocking" cards, very pretty graphics and the cards are attractive front and back. Also, the bonuses we can buy in the shop are affordable which is a big bonus in itself. Some games are so out of reach for each purchase.
This game has lots to do and I am delighted with the Elven City. I am anxious to get started with the task at hand and I look forward to all that is ahead for me in my visit to help with the building of the Elven City in beautiful Camelot. Disappointment is never an option with Avalon Legends!
May I suggest another fantastic solitaire? it is my favorite and I'll bet you will love it too. Check out The Chronicles of Emerland Solitaire.
I love the Queen's Quest Series. The graphics are always excellent, the scenery is full of beautiful and interesting things, the characters are "colorful" and very well rendered.
The storyline is very good, just "my cup of tea!" The tasks are fun, especially concocting the spells which is my favorite. HOPs and puzzles always a good challenge.
Being Peacekeeper is tough, trying to bring peace and fellowship to the 5 Realms. This type of fantasy is so entertaining for me.
Seems like Elves and Humans have the same kind of problems of the humans in our real world. Such a pity!
I am always ready for another Hidden Expedition. They are never boring and never less than great quality. This one provides a fantastic story which begins at an archeology site in the notorious rain forest and the graphics are absolutely gorgeous.
After being overtaken by the bad guys, the fun kicks in and we are engaged in escaping and finding out what the heck is going on, and "taking care of business" amidst the danger involved. Never a dull moment ! I can always count on a new, exciting adventure.
I have never been disappointed with Hidden Expedition and find the storylines always full of adventure, taking me around the globe to new danger in beautiful, new locations. I have never had anything but a great time with my purchases.
The HOPs here are really good, incorporating a theme and nice variety, though not as numerous as usual. But everything else more than makes up for that shortage. The puzzles are all terrific with a nice challenge. The characters are rendered very well.
Hidden Expedition always gives me my money's worth. I think this one is really top notch and I highly recommend it for the entire family.
I love this game so much! Too bad it isn't a real cruise. Everything seems to be the same as on our previous fun trips. And I really love the real people used in each scene, rather than so much animation all the time. That one feature makes the game even more gratifying for me. Although, IMO, the HOGs feel more challenging this time and that is perfectly fine with me.
The Cruise Adventures are always filled with fun games and puzzles, lost and found, trash recycle, extra hidden object tasks, lots of stuff to enjoy while relaxing. Nothing to keep the adrenalin flowing or your mind in overdrive, trying to unlock this and that or wondering what the psycho-killer will do next to some poor soul. This game is absolutely family friendly, regardless of age.
I own all the Cruise and Park Ranger games. They have excellent replay value, I never tire of them. Please try if you have never peeked in before with a demo. I don't think you will be disappointed if you are looking for a nice, relaxing game with no evil content.
Quite different from the other MCF games I own. It was brilliant and I was very surprised at the level of entertainment. I was a beta tester for this game quite a long while back and was delighted to finally see it again. The beta trial was so much fun, I hated to see it end.
Everything about REWIND was top notch! The graphics and colors were really fantastic. The characters were absolutely the best: weird looking, quirky personalities, lots to say, very humorous dialogue. The female character was a hoot ! The scenes had lots of bizarre things. I could have spent the whole time just looking at the objects and scenery, instead of playing. You'll have to jump into the demo to see what I mean. It's not easy for me to describe. Games and puzzles were super-duper and a good challenge.
Other reviewers will be along shortly with their more extensive coverage of this terrific game. So I will stop now and say I think you will be thrilled with REWIND just as I was, especially if you are an MCF fan!
This is a superior HOG and if you want to really enjoy yourself, please don't pass this up. I own the first two Lagoona games and the pleasure does not diminish regardless of how many times I play them. Poseidon Park has been my favorite. But I can already tell that is about to change with this new bundle of entertainment.
I love all the characters and Mayor Peabody is a hoot ! Everyone adds to the fun with their distinct personalities and humorous dialogue. The graphics are excellent and very colorful. The game runs with no problems and no waiting for each scene to load. And it is a long game.
The Lagoona games are all loaded with fun stuff and this newest addition is even better. It comes with an abundance of fun, games, puzzles, HOs, things to clean up, restoration projects, there is a good amount of challenge along the way, and lots of cuteness and chuckles!
Don't believe for a minute that adults will not have a great time visiting Lagoona! The bottom of the sea is a delightful, busy place. Jump in and see what you think!
How pleased I was to find a new addition for my Laruaville collection. I own them all and they provide me with so much enjoyment and relaxation. After so many games with locked doors, lost keys, missing zipper pulls, running back and forth and those with frightful, evil characters, this little game is so refreshing. Like that long, cool drink of water at the end of a race on a hot summer day.
The ghosties are so cute and I love the silly little sounds they make when I click on them. The games are always bright and colorful and I enjoy the humorous dialogue, the mini games, the sound effects and the challenge. Although Laruaville 7 seems a bit easier than the rest. For me, the fire tiles felt not so difficult this time. Also love the bonus games.
It is simply a sweet game suitable for all age groups...if you aren't afraid of ghosts (lol) !
I like this series. Since lengthy reviews are coming along, I will keep this on the short and basic side. It is a simple story, nothing really new to step it up from the previous installments, but I again enjoyed the experience.
For me it is always fun and doesn't become boring. This demo started out slowly because of a bunch of little tasks, but the pace did pick up, a map became available early on and the mechanics ran smoothly. I really liked the beautiful hand drawn graphics and nice colors, the tree creatures, the revived armored soldiers, nicely rendered characters and alchemy tasks. The additional fun for me was collecting and mixing all the compounds for potions, with the nifty alchemy kit.
The puzzles were fun, not too difficult. The HOPs were good, with some mild interactivity. Nothing over the top. Quail was my favorite character and I loved beautiful Phlox. Quail, I would imagine, was a good role model for the females of the day...attractive, strong, brave and loyal. Not a great deal of challenge, regardless of your chosen game mode which includes the Custom Mode. But sometimes, I just welcome a fun, relaxed game session which is the case here. And Grimoires has always offered easy fun.
Even though this series doesn't shine with a lot of 5-star reviews, it shines enough for me. I do hope it provides some fun, relaxing hours for you, too. Give the demo a try.
I love mosaic puzzles and this one presented lovely pictures and operated smoothly. The options were basic with a relaxed and timed mode, custom cursor and a left-handed preference. I found the relaxed mode unnecessary, as you can continue playing beyond the allotted minutes in the timed mode. The clock in upper corner alerts you to time remaining and it was fun to see the results of my efforts.
To earn 3 keys: fully assemble the picture, complete level with no boo-boos and complete task in required time. For 5000 coins you can purchase 30 seconds of extra times or instantly refill the hint. Everything worked well and the music was lovely even though I did tire of it quickly, There is a setting to thankfully fix that.
The pictures were beautiful paintings in soft hues that I found very appealing. There was a good assortment of subject matter which showed the beauty of the time setting of Beauty and the Beast. However, I was disappointed that upon completion of the pictures, the lines around the pieces did not vanish. It's like that with jigsaw puzzles, too.
I played the entire demo and it was very relaxing even though the challenge certainly increased as I progressed. It mattered not, however, since it wasn't a "beat the clock" situation even in timed mode. I found myself looking forward to the next beautiful painting. The experience was made pleasant by all the beautiful art and I will purchase for that reason alone.
AND....this is the first 8Floor game in ages that has earned a positive review from me! Never lose hope.
