What a happy day this is for me! I've had no enthusiasm for any of the games offered for quite a while. Everything offered either falls too far into the realms of darkness or contain too many puzzles, so the interest just isn't there anymore. Fortunately, games like Vacation Adventures still do exist, I just wish they were not so scarce!
This is a lovely, relaxing game that I always enjoy and never find anything offensive, evil or neon-colored in them. Everything is pleasant, brightly colored, festive and full of good stuff. I especially love the abundance of people and busy appearance in all the scenes, like everyone is having a great time! These wonderful games have great replay value, are educational, and good clean fun for the entire family.
I love the HOs, which are of good challenge, the additional games and puzzles are lots of fun. The achievements and stars to earn are good incentive and the features are great. I like that we get a couple of extra cruises with this CE edition. Vacation Adventures always runs smoothly, always delivers quality entertainment...and always makes me happy!!
As another reviewer mentioned, it is truly a shame that it is not available to Mac users. Hopefully, that will change in the future, so no one misses out on the fun.
I always have a great time! This is a quality nonogram series and I'm happy to see Number 9 so soon. With 140 levels and the additional bonus games I will be a busy bee once again. I really enjoy seeing the pictures take shape and try to guess what they are before completed.
The colors are nice and bright, there are many good features and the power-ups help me out if I'm really stuck. I don't mind having just one style option for the tiles. They are colorful and pleasing to my eye, The music is good. The pictures are so doggone cute and easily recognizable. Also, I have never had any issues with any of the Travel Mosaics games, always run smoothly.
If you haven't tried this fun series, pack your bags and give it a whirl. I highly recommend.
Travel Mosaics is a fun series, I never tire of their games. My collection is growing and everything about each one I buy is very pleasing, relaxing and adds a little more joy to my day. If you haven't met the Walkers yet, I encourage you to try the demo. Good innocent fun!
Pennmom and I are on the same wave length about the puzzles from this dev. It just never improves, it is a downright shame that they don't care in the slightest about what the puzzle lovers are requesting or suggesting.
And why, oh why, do they give us pictures that have nothing to do with the theme? The lines around the pieces are un-neccessary and ruin the picture. The silly looking "posers" just don't add anything attractive to the pictures at all.
I know many of you love these Alice puzzles. You may be able to overlook the things that bug me and have lots of enjoyable hours with them. I just wish I could enjoy them, too. We have a dire shortage of quality puzzles on BF.
The one good thing, however, about these jigsaws is the replay value. When you start over, the beginning pieces are different each time, so basically just one of these puzzles is all you really need if you don't tire of the pictures.
Not much! Anything new and fun from this dev is just a never gonna happen thing! Every time, the synopsis greatly exaggerates the fun and excitement waiting for all of us puzzle lovers. I always have the same gripes and disappointment, but I check out each new game hoping to see an improvement.
To be honest, my complaint isn't so much about the features. As long as they function properly and smoothly, it is not a big issue. What spoils it for me are the ever-present lines around the puzzle pieces, the pictures not relating to the theme and most of the pictures are not that great.
There is fun and beauty and hours of delight for many puzzle lovers out there with this new Alice puzzle. I know this type of game is enjoyable and becomes challenging, also it has great replay value. But, alas, I again have to give it a nay vote.
I really like this series and game Number 3 is proving to be a winner, based on my time in the demo. Mary and Aaron Fletcher are telling the story beginning with 1989 as they take a trip to visit Aaron's cousin, Kevin, at a movie set. It is a good story in my opinion, I'm always interested in unsolved crimes.
We play both Mary and Aaron. I love switching characters. I love what happens when you click on each one as an older couple before you begin to Play. So, the game begins with their arrival in town and almost immediately they are involved with trying to solve 2 murders. Busy, busy, busy!
Kevin was accused of a murder in 1969. He was arrested and finally released but many townfolk still believe he is guilty. Now, another young actress has been murdered and suddenly Kevin is arrested again in the presence of the Fletchers. Sheriff Stutter is enraged, he hates Kevin. You see, Elizabeth, the 1969 victim, was Stutter's sweetheart. His anger is renewed and revenge, I think, plays a big part.
Now we have to get down to business and find the real killer, proving Kevin's innocence and clearing his name once and for all. Who is trying to frame Kevin? And why? I just love murder mysteries, gathering clues. Love that ah-ha moment.
Enjoyed the demo a lot. Spent lots of time questioning folks, collecting pieces of evidence, tending to the necessary tasks. Everything moved along at a good pace and the tasks were not frustrating. The inventory items moved out quickly which prevented my trying to remember much later where to use them. There were collectible clapboards, morphs in each scene, achievements, souvenir room, etc. A map was available but not of much use to me, I decided to just get around without it which easy enough. I liked the Pan Left and Right Feature. The entire demo ran smoothly, no black screen between scenes or other long pauses.
The graphics and color were excellent. The characters were interesting and looked good. I am really disliking the red-headed actress who thinks she is so hotsy-totsy! With the exception of Mary, Aaron, and the red-head the voice overs were lousy. Especially, Kevin's! And I felt he looked too young, considering his age in 1969. Not many puzzles or HOPs in the demo. I encountered one very interactive HOP and the puzzles were okay. There may have been more, but I was taking my time and may have missed some.
Will purchase this game with today's holiday sale. Anxious to add to my crime-mystery collection. I think this will turn out to be a fantastic whodunit and I'm hoping to see more from this entertaining series. No disappoints so far!
This is by far the best of the bunch. I own all the Cursed Houses and they are really tops! The challenge is always great, the obstacles and power-ups are the best.
In this one there are several play modes, my favorite is Limited Moves. I have fun trying each one. You can switch modes to help beat a difficult level and I think that is a very useful feature. It is just one of many features that makes Cursed House so entertaining. Controlling my frustration while playing is a good thing!
The mini games can be skipped, but I enjoy each one. Especially love Spot the Difference because the items are very well hidden and I can't pass up a good challenge. The developer of Cursed House has done a splendid job, offering the best gameplay and the best challenge in Match 3 games that are available at BFG. You can see that a great amount of thought and care goes into every game. Each new Cursed House has something a little different to increase the challenge and keep the game from becoming ho-hum. I have been plenty frustrated, but never bored. Silly maybe, but another thing I enjoy is the sound effects.
So, of course, this was a no-brainer purchase for me. If not familiar with Cursed House, try the demo and maybe you'll get hooked like all the fans of this great Match 3.
Since Pennmom covered it all in a very good review, I will simply add my opinion of the game. It was adorable and so imaginative! How would I feel, suddenly becoming smaller than a spider, having to survive in a teeny-tiny world? First, I would freak out! Then I think my curiosity would take over and go exploring this amazing environment.
The demo was lots of fun. The tutorial is very minimal, but I found the game easy to figure out. I loved the sharp, beautiful graphics and the artwork was divine. Everything was very colorful, clever and just cute as can be. The few games I encountered were not difficult, they were enjoyable. I liked the hint system, which was not the norm. Just remember to click on everything, everywhere. Up and down, all around, inside and out. Those berries could be anywhere and are your only hope of changing back to your normal size.
Had a lovely time in the itsy-bitsy world, but time to return and add this little gem to my collection! Well worth 5 stars.
I enjoyed the demo. The pictures were really cute and I had no trouble recognizing them. I liked the colors, the tiles were only one style but that didn't bother me. The music was okay, Good puzzles, mini games had a little challenge which was fun. Good tools. Earn coins, lives, achievements. Earn stars to open each level. If you make too many mistakes, you need not restart the game if you can correctly answer a question about the pic you are working on. Fun stuff in this mosaic game.
I own one other Travel Mosaics and based on my fun with it, I will be purchasing this one. I think Jet Dogs is giving us some good mosaic games. A few more will be added to my growing collection as future sales come along.
I was really expecting a nice, fun mosaics game. The title right away made me envision beauty and relaxed gameplay. Well, my "nature hike" lasted for 20 minutes of the demo, and that was 20 minutes too long. It did involve 4 levels.
The only instructions were to paint with left click and fill in blanks with right click. 3 options, 1 being full screen, the 2nd was remove custom cursor. Sorry, can't recall the third. I saw no tile selections and no handy dandy anything to make the game appealing in any way, at least for me. It was just bare basics. If there were any helpful tools, I honestly didn't stay long enough to discover. The music started out lovely enough, but soon turned into a series of quick, repetitious notes that I did not enjoy. Don't know, maybe the mosaic games I own have me spoiled!!
The spaces to be filled in on the grid were white with gray dot in their center. The tiles were large and brightly colored. No color wheel, just choose which color you want from the colored circles. I didn't check out how many hints available. When I clicked on the eye, it just gave me the background view.
The backgrounds were very clear, beautiful scenes with vivid colors. Each finished puzzle was titled and included a short quip below it. The tiles being nice and big were easy on the eyes. The 4 grids I finished were very easy.
If you try the demo, you just might find this game to be great. I just couldn't find that special fun factor that suits what I look for in a mosaics game.
