This is pathetic, really. There are so many things wrong here, that the game was painful to demo for even a brief time. And if you can tolerate click and wait and wait and wait some more, YOU deserve 5 stars! There was an irritating problem with the music as well, that I was unable to fix. Everything I experienced in this game was a negative. I uninstalled the demo with a sigh of relief, wondering if these devs ever heard of quality control. I always hate submitting a bad review, but this one could not be avoided. I was so eager for a new mosaic game with that nice, relaxing playtime. That Zen feeling won't be found here. Sorry devs!
I was seriously giving up all hope of ever finding anything worthwhile to spend my coupons or $$ on. If I never see another TM or penguin game, it will be too soon!! Spellarium arrived just in time to chase away the blues caused by a long string of lack-luster games.
The Spellarium Series has never lost its ability to keep me entertained with unique match 3 challenges and fun mini games. Although I'm not very fond of the too-easy solitaire and mahjong I still play them sometimes. My favorite is Find the Difference because they are challenging, wish more were included.
The graphics and color are always sharp and vibrant, adding more quality to this excellent game. I love "building" the surroundings. The goals, obstacles, power-ups are all positively great, I really like the sound effects and getting to the coins isn't so easy. Every new Spellarium brings something new to the table and the challenge never wanes. A good, solid match 3 game every time!
I highly recommend this series for its consistent quality and challenging gameplay. The challenge is not extreme but, in my opinion, the fun is!! And with the Relaxed Mode, I always have a grand time with no pressure to beat the clock. This is easily a 5-star game for me.
I agree with Sunnyglow on all counts of this new edition of Paranormal Files, so far. Being little more than half-way through the game, I find it very engaging and with no disappointments. It is easy to like Rick Rogers and follow him on these interesting cases as he puts his expert detective skills to work. I, too, am happy to see a female character at Rick's side, helping to solve the mystery of the sand monster and the Mayan artifact.
The story is much to my liking since I love games that involve expeditions and discoveries, they are amongst my favorites. In this particular one, it certainly doesn't hurt to be traveling along with Rick and his "sidekick" if you are looking for a quality storyline.
I don't know how long it will take me to finish, but I never hurry while playing, so as usual it will be quite a lengthy good time. It was great to find such entertaining HOPs and games here. Normally, I do not care for mini-games but I am actually enjoying these. Also, nice to discover from Sunnyglow that there is a substantial number of HOPs to keep me happy to the end.
The graphics are very sharp, great color. The characters as usual, in Rick's investigations, are rendered very nicely. I have never felt slighted with the extras included in the CE Editions of Paranormal Files and I don't really mind if collectibles are sometimes easy to locate. It's still fun looking for them, plus I like the added fun of trying to earn as many achievements as possible. The extra little challenges are a good addition. I enjoy the Secret Room in games, too.
I'm also hoping for a good adventure within the Bonus Chapter, and purchasing "Paranormal Files: Trials of Worth" is proving to be a very good decision. I recommend this game for paranormal fans and Rick Rogers fans. Hopefully, you will enjoy the demo and go on to even more entertainment with the entire game.
I completely agree with the comments in the 5-star reviews, so there is not much more to say or elaborate on. Lost Lands is always a tremendous package of excellent games, HOPs, story, adventure and CE extras. It all comes without witches, demons, and otherworldly creatures. We get to travel through beautiful, mysterious landscapes, meet interesting characters along our journey. The graphics are stunning, providing atmospheric scenes that look so real, right down to the movements of the people and animation in the surroundings. Just a stellar game in every way!
It is obvious that this developer puts a great deal of imagination, work and care into every game. Lost Lands is a showcase of their efforts and such a welcome relief from all the insignificant, cookie-cutter games we constantly see. I have been on the fence about cancelling my membership, because there is nothing worthwhile to justify my monthly fee. Then, I find this wonderful, new Lost Lands that has renewed my enthusiasm (for now). Please continue to bring us these wonderful creations. THANK YOU devs!!
I don't really see the point of putting another Chronicles game on the table. This is the 8th one which is exactly like the previous 7, nothing new in gameplay, same old match 3. The different stories don't add anything that makes me want to buy another. The Bible is the stronghold in my life so I truly appreciate Bible related chronicles and enjoy the others as well. But with no changes in any of the games, for me there is no need to purchase another. I can just replay one of the 4 I already own.
The graphics are always excellent, colors nice and bright, great sound quality. Have never had any problems. the games run very smoothly every single time. I don't have an aversion to spiders, but I wish the devs could use a different "critter" so the players who do have a problem with them could enjoy the Chronicles Series as well.
I recommend the series because the stories are wholesome and the gameplay is flawless. There is challenge without it being too much, the power-ups and obstructions are good. The kids can enjoy, too. Nice family match-3.
because they obviously can't get it right with the puzzles!! Here we are again with another dud! This mosaic is just not enjoyable to me. The lines around the pieces ruin the appearance of the puzzle, the people used in the pics are always unpleasing to look at, their expressions are sometimes so unnatural as they are in their ridiculous poses, the children are overdone with their costumes and adult make-up. I find no beauty in any of it.
The colors are usually pretty nice and the graphics decent enough, but the subject matter needs vast improvement as always. Except for the images, there are never any changes in the puzzles from 8 Floor, in their "story" puzzles the images do not even relate at all to the fairytale. I do not consider today's puzzle a mosaic, it is just a jigsaw with ugly lines and unprofessional models that create a no-fun experience. Mosaic 1 and 2 from years ago were excellent but then everything went downhill from there, IMO. All puzzles from these devs ever since, have been greatly disappointing. Will never understand why changes to improve the quality of the puzzles are not an option with 8 Floor
This is a no-buy for me AGAIN and I don't recommend this puzzle if you are looking for all the qualities that make jigsaws and mosaics a worthwhile experience and worth the $$.
I toughed it out for 50 minutes, trying to complete a simple puzzle. Maybe by the second Tuesday of next week it would be finished with a little luck. It was near impossible to make any progress because the pieces float and twirl as you try to place them. If a piece is the wrong choice and you want another, sometimes the first one would not release from the cursor without several attempts. This floating feature made the game ghastly slow and very frustrating. IMO, a ridiculous, unnecessary feature!! In addition, 1 corner piece was missing and there were several border pieces that didn't fit anywhere.
The game features periodically were difficult to access, requiring several attempts to open. Everything was "sticky", for lack of a better description. There were misspelled words, for instance " prewiev" instead of "preview". However, that had no affect on the game, it is just a personal pet peeve.
Not all is bad about this game. It has many excellent features: there are 10 different background colors/designs, a timed mode which can be turned off, coins to earn for speed, puzzle preview which can be hidden, choice of difficulty, to name just a few. I found a few of them a little confusing to figure out at first for some reason. The graphics were sharp and clear, the colors were beautiful and vibrant. I was unable to see a sample of all the puzzles, but the first set on display contained a decent variety of nice pictures. There are people and staged subject matter which I absolutely do not like. My decision to purchase or not is very often determined by this content. There is background music that isn't too bad, but I turned it down anyway.
Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing this game because of the poor mechanics which prevented a smooth flowing game. It could have been very enjoyable.
I was so happy to see this offering today, as I am sick to death of all the TM games almost daily it seems, not enough SE edition games that an adult can enjoy, and the forever disappointing 8floor jigsaw puzzles. Back to the old waiting game, hoping that next time it will be a more positive experience. I keep hoping for MORE quality jigsaw puzzles and MORE Pixel Art and Paint by Number. Why do we not see them on Big Fish? I see them on other sites, but will only purchase from here.
I recommend this jigsaw puzzle to those who may be more tolerant and willing to deal with the things that bug me. This game may be right up your alley. The demo is a great thing we have here at BFG.
Every Pixel Art game is full of pics that are just plain, simple little works of art to fill in with bright, pretty colors. The color palette offers a wide range of various shades of each color and the end result is always pleasing. The images in this newest collection are more time consuming due to little splashes of color all over your "canvas", instead of many large single-color sections. I like the extra detailed results.
I personally don't think Pixel Art needs any extra options or enhancements, and special cursors add nothing useful to any game. Sometimes basic tools and options are just fine. This was meant to be a game of relaxing fun without all the fuss.
The variety of pictures is always good and really are lovely because of the way the different hues are placed throughout. I own all but Number One of the series and they all run smoothly and the pics appear sharp and clear. The numbers are easy to read, thanks to the great zoom feature, and the ability to navigate across the image is very helpful. Also, I really like being able to fill in a large same-color area at one time if so desired.
The features available are handy-dandy, at least for me. And even though this is a laid-back kind of game, it does present some challenge trying to find all the pixels for a particular color. The final 2 or 3 can be frustrating, but you can move on to another one if you wish and try again later. Color switching is a great helper and (for me) makes it more fun, jumping from color to color all over the pic.
I really don't need another Pixel Art game, my others are still unfinished. But I find them hard to resist with the colorful variety of pictures offered and the no-brainer fun that awaits.
In my opinion, this is a great game. My review is posted under the Collectors Edition version, so will keep this short. It is really a great game that gave me about 9 hrs of entertainment, but even the SE version should be long and worthwhile.
If you are an animal lover, this game will be of interest to you, as it gives you a whole different look into the animal kingdom. The locale is so beautiful, India was perfect setting for gorgeous jungle scenery, colors are rich and void of the neons that tend to always be used by this developer. The storyline is intriguing, involving the animals and the situation at hand. The artwork is excellent, animals and humans were depicted very nicely, the voices of both were well done.
Lots of games!!! Not as many HOGs. Not being a puzzle fan, I admit skipping some but those I played were excellent. Good mix of challenge and easy. the HOGs were really enjoyable with a good variety of the types we all love. And the length of the game is more than the usual. The 9 hrs for me extended into days because I play slowly to take in all the interesting surroundings and check out the detail, and this time the talking animals got my attention with their plight in this game of living side by side with humans and dealing with the conflict at hand.
I won't give more details of The Wild Side, so you can discover for yourselves. More fun that way, Lots of entertainment in this one, IMO. Good purchase for me, hope it is for you as well. Check it out.
Just finished the demo and I think this is a fine game. I just loved the cute little mice band at the opening. I always liked the Cinderella tale, but this version is much more interesting. It was fun and the demo went by so quickly. It did not have one single task that was frustrating or time consuming. How unusual to play with no keys to find, no endless back-and-forth! I liked that!
The characters were very nicely rendered and the voices were very good. I loved the rich colors and thought the scenery was beautiful, excellent graphics. The story moved along at a nice pace, inventory filled up quickly but items didn't remain there for long. Everything that I saw in the demo was very beautiful, as it should be in a fairytale, and very nicely illustrated. The storyline piqued my interest and I am anxious to play the entire game and maybe the Bonus Chapter will tell more of this sad family situation.
I liked the talking clock, it was an unusual gimmick and I thought it was pretty. This was a first time for me ever saying anything good about a gimmick. Have always hated them. There wasn't much HOG activity in the demo, there were several games. But they were all fun, not super challenging. I am not a puzzle fan, but here I liked helping change the mice into horses and the limited moves game to release 3 wolves from the board.
There are collectibles and morphing mice (58), find 2 in each scene. The mice are transparent, making them a little harder to spot. And they are collected to help find 7 members of a mouse band. How cute is that? Pop-out side bars indicate how many collectibles in each scene and I appreciate that feature. I don't know if any morphs are in the HOGs.
Just a couple of things bugged me in the demo: the game froze several times for minute or so and there was black screen stalling between several of the scenes. Hope these were just demo issues, because I have already purchased the game! I am looking forward to a long visit in fairytale land and find out what's really going on in Crystal Kingdom.
